We really felt at home here. Steve and his staff are friendly and accommodating. During a recent nine-night stay we experienced a quiet clean room, comfortable mattress, and a good conversation accompanied by a fresh cup of coffee. The hotel setting is beautiful and the prices are affordable.

This is a really good motel. It has very nice grounds, a beautiful view, and clean rooms with a nicer ambiance than most $ 70 rooms offer. The owners are really nice and very accommodating.

For a small town motel, this one is excellent! The view of the wetland/lake and mountains in front of the motel is gorgeous! I could sit in my room for hours(or even better on one of their many well maintained picnic tables) and take in the view and listen to the wildlife. They even provide free wi-fi that had a good range and connection. Room was clean and neat, TV even had cable, microwave, and prompt customer service from the staff. Plus there was always a pot of hot coffee ready in the office and they’d make a new one on the spot on request if needed. I wish I had brought some charcoal briquettes with me as there was a BBQ and tools available for use out front. They were pet friendly for my small dog. Right down the street about 2 blocks and an easy walk was an A&W with tasty root beer floats and a diner with huge portions. Bandon and the beaches were only a short drive away. The pillows could have been a little fluffier and easier on my neck(I normally travel with my own pillow but forgot yet my companion thats a stomach sleeper thought they were ok) but otherwise a surprisingly pleasant stay at a little motel! Much better than other small towns in Oregon I’ve been too and would gladly come back and stay again for the great view, peace and quiet, and fresh air

I’m reviewing this location based on LOOKING at it for 30years. Okay, so there isn’t another motel in Myrtle Point to my knowledge. Duh… great town to host the county fair then, huh? Yeah… I don’t think so either, but nobody has listened thus far. I’m guessing those that do not stay in campers during the fair are quite thankful for the Myrtle Trees Motel. And I’m guessing a very small percentage of folks traveling through would actually opt to stop for a night when they are as close to Coos Bay as 30 minutes. But some must, since this place has been around for as long as I can remember. It’s kind of a cute little place in an unusual location. I love the lilly pad pond it overlooks… so it might not be a bad choice. At least Myrtle Point HAS a motel!

The room was nice and clean. Friendly folks. The bed was hard as a rock and we woke up with stiff necks and backaches. I’ve stayed there before and remember the bed being surprisingly comfortable, I guess there is probably not a lot of uniformity there. Also, I was told that the biggest beds that they have available are extra-long double beds. It’s a small town and you get what you get. If you want comfort, I would suggest driving on to Coos Bay. If you just want a bed for the night, it’s a good option.

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend, and I was impressed for a small-town motel. The owners are very friendly and personable. The rooms are well kept and clean, and the beds are comfortable. Also, the rooms have cable TV. The motel is next to a small lake and has a great view. The rate was good too — $ 54 if you are a AAA member. I didn’t have my laptop with me, so I don’t know if they offer wireless internet or not. I would recommend this motel for anyone planning to stay in Myrtle Point.
