What a cute little spot right in the heart of Mystic CT. There is not much to this place, but what they do have is incredible ice cream… Now I can only speak to the coffee ice-cream since that is what I ordered. I got one scoop on a waffle cone and it was Delicious… Creamy with a good burst of coffee coming thru. I do wish you could see all the flavors like in other places. I am very visual when it comes to ordering and I would have loved to have seen what the flavors looked like. If you got em, flaunt em! Then walk across the drawbridge and sit along the waterway and try not to embarrass yourself as you devour the cone in front of you!

Very yummy but kind of expensive. Their waffle cones were good and the view of the drawbridge was great!

Mystic Drawbridge Ice-Cream, you gave me one of my happiest moments in Mystic. That is an impressive feat, given the pristine perfection of your home town. Your coconut ice cream is scrum-silly-yum. I would have an ice cream cone for lunch and another for dinner. I’m considering planning a week long ice cream only eating vacation, coming to a hand made ice cream parlor near you. You’re #1 on my ice cream list Mystic!

Ice cream was great however the customer service was terrible! It was such unorganized chaos in there that they were extremely pushy and rude. My 6 yr old was trying to order and was cut off by another employee. First visit and we won’t be back which is sad since its so close

Way overpriced, mediocre ice cream, not overly well kept. As you can tell, this was not my favorite stop in Mystic, but it was convenient. I believe that’s why their prices are so high, they have their spot right by the water on the main street by the bridge, If you’re in vacation spending mode, you won’t hate it. If you’re looking to hold onto your money to spread the wealth around town, look elswhere. Their staff wasn’t overly friendly either which is always a turn off.

Maybe I had high expectations based on all the internet recommendations of this place, but it was pretty disappointing. The service was terrible. Considering this a place caters to tourists, they had a pretty bad attitude. My ice cream was over churned. I had the chocolate PB and it has the consistency of butter. Very disappointing.

We love to come for coffee and ice cream whenever we are in Mystic. My favorite ice creams are coffee heath bar and white pistachio. They also have delicious baked goods and sandwiches. It’s best to come off-season and on weekdays when there is little to no line. I especially enjoy sitting outside with with views of Mystic Seaport and of course, the drawbridge.

Was a plastic cap in my sisters ice cream. Will not be returning. Girl didn’t offer refund. I was grossed out. I been coming here for years…

This review is for the café portion of this business and not the ice cream as we were here on a cold fall day and weren’t brave enough to try it. My girlfriend and I drove up to Mystic the other day from New Haven because so many people had insisted that we needed to and I must say it was a pretty great place. One of the highlights of this trip was our lunch at Mystic Drawbridge Ice-Cream. Situated right at the edge of the drawbridge in the heart of Mystic you can’t really find a better location. We wanted somewhere relatively cheap and easy and this business was perfect. My girlfriend had the barnyard panini and I had the southwest chicken wrap. Both were delicious and made fresh. Also, the girls behind the counter were super polite! Read this place can get pretty crowded in the summer but I think we’ll be back because I definitely want to give the ice cream a try.

Excellent sandwiches, decent prices for food, nice staff. I had gotten a goat cheese with prosciutto and turkey sandwich, which was very tasty. And my girlfriend got a Santa Fe chicken wrap. Both were great! Cute little café feeling, the coffee and hot apple cider is good as well. Great place!

Great little place to stop in for ice cream or espresso drinks… or put some ice cream in your espresso drink!

This spot, right on the drawbridge… it’s cute, but way expensive for ice cream. They have lunch as well; sandwiches, wraps, and paninis all grace the menu. 7 dollars, plus tax for an average sundae is a bit much though. Next time I’m in town in going to try the menu, not the ice cream

Great little spot near the Mystic Drawbridge. Coffee, panini, ice cream, etc. Lots of great choices for a quick bite or for something sweet. We had the Mystic Mud ice cream and it was wonderful… lots of chocolate chunk and fudge in a base of chocolate ice cream. Indulgence ! Check it out when you have some leisure time. if you are lucky, you could see the drawbridge in action from one of the window tables or chair… nice spot !

Just an «ok» place for ice cream. The food is a bit better, but all around prices are high. I would never order an iced coffee here because they put in a lot of ice and cups are too small for the price of them. Ice cream is more«icy» than creamy. The sweet shop across the way has better ice cream.

Perfect way to end our day trip to Mystic! Ice cream flavors are fun and witty. They have the basics for the non-adventurous taster. Line was a bit long but moved fairly quickly.

OK, it’s a bit of a tourist trap, but I still love this place. In the summer, there’s really nothing better than grabbing a slightly-overpriced cone, walking over the bridge and taking in the view.

$ 7.10 for a sundae. Echoing what many on here have said: Nothing special, not worth the price, you’re paying for their prime location. For $ 7.10 we got two scoops of standard ice cream with frozen strawberries coated with marshmallow and whipped cream. The menu stated ‘fresh strawberries’ but we got frozen ones. Whipped cream was also from a can. Pretty much could’ve gone to Golden Corral and made the same thing. I’m particularly peeved at this place. I’ve had $ 7 ice cream at tourist hot spots in Paris and Asia and those were several levels up in quality. Don’t bother with this place.

Avoid the caffeinated drinks and soft serves, they aren’t anything special and not worth the price. I was actually disappointed with my soft serve during my most recent visit this past weekend. I paid $ 3.98 for one scoop and not to sound too demanding, but I was hoping the man behind the counter would have at least asked me if I wanted it in a cup or cone, and whether I wanted any toppings. But he basically just handed me one scoop in a cup and that was the end of that. Of course I could have changed my order too but at that point, it just wasn’t worth it anymore. In my opinion, stick to the sundaes. In the past I had Brownie Overload Sundae and it was better. It was almost like a brownie sandwich, with a half brownie on the bottom and the remaining half placed on top of the ice cream. I think that the only thing memorable about this place is the location. It’s right next to the drawbridge and the windows overlook the Mystic river. It makes the whole place rather charming. I’d like to come back and try some of the sandwiches and paninis. They make them sound delicious! I’ll update my review if they turn out good.

Who said this place is a «tourist trap»? News flash, maybe you didn’t notice but the entire town of Mystic is a tourist trap. During the summer months thousands of New Yorkers and Jersey people drive into town to escape their miserable states. You would think they had never experienced salt water before. Yet somehow they feel it necessary to experience it 150 miles away. And OMG, isn’t it cool to make fun of the signs and waste as many paper napkins as possible?! God forbid if some silly Long Islander acted mature and taught her kid a thing or two about conservation. But that’s OK because conservation is a big adult concept and New Yorkers have it naturally embedded in their DNA to act overtly obnoxious. Their ice cream is OK. Not great, just OK. The lines can be long and prices sort of high. But hey, it’s Mystic. If you don’t like the prices go elsewhere. If you don’t like the lines try visiting it during the month of January. That’s when I will usually visit because there are no tourists at that time. No NY and NJ people thank God.
