Love the selection, toys for all budgets and friendly staff. They will gift wrap anything in lovely paper and are kind to your well-mannered kids. Great art materials and stickers too.

If you’re looking for an awesome selection of high end toys in downtown Mystic you can do no better than Mystical Toys. The only drawback is their high prices. There’s actually an abundance of good toy stores in the area so the purchases I’ve made here have been for stuff I couldn’t find elsewhere. They do have a rewards program but I have found most of their stuff just a little pricey. Still they have a pretty helpful & outgoing staff each time I go in. They’ll also wrap a toys if they’re presents. Around the Christmas season they even have a mailbox out front so your little one can drop off their list to Santa & they’ll even receive a return letter from Old Saint Nick himself.

Wow! This place is so cool. It’s a little independent toy store, and there are too few of these today. They have the largest selection of Playmobil I’ve ever seen. I think they have everything in the line. It’s fun to wander around here after an ice cream(though don’t bring it in the store). Terrific service and hard to find items. A kid’s paradise.

Love this place, the folks are friendly, the toys range from old-school to cutting edge, and very important; they do a wonderful job of wrapping!

BEWAREOFIRATESTOREOWNER I too thought this was a great store, since my honeymoon in mystic we’ve come every year. Today we met my parents my sister and my other sisters family, the kids are a 7 month old a 17 month old and a 2.5 year old(the last two are mine). We were having a great time in the store tons of fun toys UNTIL… my 7 month old niece put her hand on a shelf that was not secured properly causing it to fall and subsequently making the shelf below fall. The brackets were not secured or balanced properly, and the shelves were resting on top not secured at all. Now keep in mind my son and daughter were playing below. Luckily the shelves missed my children but the toys fell at their feet a few seconds earlier and this could have cause major problems. I brought this to the attention of the owner who took no responsibility for the shelf. He then yelled and shamed us for«making a mess of the store look at all the toys on the floor»(there were very few) and told us to leave and go somewhere else. I then asked if he considered this good customer service to which he replied«are you being a good customer, why don’t you get your stuff and leave.» We were all intending on buying toys at least $ 100 dollars in toys. His behavior was disgusting, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. In fact my wife feared he was going to hit me, with my hands in my pocket. Not only was the condition of the store unsafe(those shelves in particular) but his uncontrollable anger seemed worse. He YELLED at me in front of my entire family making everyone very scared, even the clerk was scared. I would never recommend going there and if you do beware of the grumpy man with the grey mustache. I would recommend buying the toys online for far less, and you won’t risk ruining your weekend.

Pretty fun place, lots of thought-invoking toys like puzzles, science sets, card games, et cetera. No faddish as-seen-in-movies stuff, only the timeless toys that every kid loves. Stop in here when you have a good chunk of time to kill and get transported back to your youth. So fun!

I grew up in Mystical Toys, and it is by far the best toy store anywhere. As a kid, they let you walk around for hours deciding what youre going to spend your penny jar money on. As a grown up, they let you bounce balls really high, right there, in the store, near the windows and everything. Four years ago, I took Steph to Mystic for a long weekend. We came to the store to kill time between kissing and laughing and eating oatmeal cookies, and a red paper fortune telling fish told me I was in love. We bought it, and four years later, the fortune telling fish still works.
