Pretty typical Chinese take out. They give you a large amount of food per order. It tastes exactly as you expect it to. Reasonable prices. An all around satisfying experience as far as Chinese take out goes.

Under new management and not nearly as good as it once was. It was our go to take out place. No more.

This was a first try for us. It was late but we had a hankering for some Chinese food. Delivery in this area even at 8pm is tricky so we picked it up. Of course it was ready in 15 mins because anything prepared in a wok cooks like lightning. When we went inside it was not what I expected. Listen, it was clean and all but small. Let me start off this explanation with the fact that the food was really good. I just was expecting to get hit with that hot steamy wave of spicy, greasy, fried everything, garlicky smell… in the best way of course and the loud clanging of metal spoons scraping the goodness of hot pans. Maybe it was a slow Monday night, close to the end of the day so the orders were thin, who knows. I was fine with it, no line better for me but it threw me off from my norm. Also, the cashier was definitely ready to go home because he was… well let’s just say he was no barrel of sunshine. Threw my card back at me like it was hot. Anyways, I would definitely eat here again because both our chicken dinner combos were awesome, the fried rice was full of pork and fresh veggies, and it was hot and spicy like it should be. Even the egg rolls beat my fav Providence take out spot, shhhh don’t tell them. Like I said before I will most likely eat here again next time my belly says ‘Chinese food now!’ but they will have to bring to food to me.

When I move to a new location the first thing I do is find a great local Chinese restaurant. I’m not exactly sure why but it is what it is! This place is your typical takeout joint, no frills! We ordered the Gen Tso, Crab(or Krab) Rangoon, and sesame chicken lunch specials. This place even made my picky wife/kids happy which means I was happy! Overall a solid local take out going, they prefer cash FYI.

I have ordered here a couple of times now and have been pleasantly surprised. They make every thing in house here, sauces, egg rolls, etc. You’ll get a huge portion every time. Plus… they will have your order ready in 10 min. This is my new go-to when I have a need for Chinese… ooh yeah!

ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLESERVICE! We ordered a large lunch order and I get back to work with the order to find my meal missing! We called back to tell them and they said we didn’t order my meal that they swiped my card for! I read them the list I used to order and they still argued I never ordered the meal I paid for. Needless to say I will never go back there and I disputed the charges with my bank who will be taking care of it.

We have never had a bad meal from here… hard to find good Chinese take out! We have been eating here for the last 14 years. Try C27 sesame seed chicken combo.

Went up to Mystic for saint patty’s day parade in downtown Mystic. Found a sweet spot right outside of this Chinese joint that was serving up some authentic SHAVEDICE! Yes! you heard right… Shaved Ice in Mystic, CT. So i went in to check it out and the restaurant is your average looking Chinese take out restaurant. I ordered the the hot and sour soup because it was pretty chilly out. The soup was very flavorful and filled with different veggies and pork. I’ve had a lot of hot and sour soups in my day and this one is right up there. I ordered the GREENTEASHAVEDICE before i left to enjoy the parade and i have to say, it was a pleasant surprise. They added some type of condense milk that really added a little sweetness to it. Overall the experience was so good during the day that I had to drag my girlfriend back for dinner. Stop by if you are ever in the area for some SHAVEDICE!

Typical average Chinese food. I have been here for lunch twice, take out. The first time I ordered the Egg Foo Young lunch combo, I do like their gravy, it is the thick light brown version that I don’t find often enough. The fried rice and the egg roll were very bland and I had to add soy sauce and hot sauce for flavor. Second time I ordered the orange chicken lunch combo, it was okay, average. When I’m at work and craving Chinese I will come here again but certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to make a trip here from home.

Flavorless entrée and appetizer. Decent portions, but the food(Kung Pao chicken and an appetizer order of spare ribs) had absolutely no flavor— Who orders Chinese because they want something bland? Very strange. Shall not be back.

Pretty typical Chinese food, but pricey. Take out only. Not worth 3 stars, folks. BARELY worth 2.

Wokery is quick(15 minutes or less), reasonably priced and reliably good Chinese food in Mystic. More often than not, you can pick up a phone, order your food and drive to the location and your food will be waiting for you, hot and ready. I consider this a * establishment, and within that range and compared to other restaurants in that range, I believe it’s worthy of a ***½(rounded to ****). Category * = Fast Food establishment, limited to no seating, no waitstaff, little to no décor. Rating ***½ = In it’s category and level of service, the food is good(above average). If it’s not out of the way, do not ignore this place.

Maybe it’s just me, but every Chinese take-out place in the state tastes exactly the same to me. I could put on a blind-fold and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference among them. I suspect that’s because they all get the same prepared egg rolls, dumplings, and sauces from the same NYC source. By «source» I mean the same beat-up delivery truck with lots of graffiti on it that looks like it came from a war zone. I’ve seen it occasionally make deliveries elsewhere. My pork lo mein, rice, and egg roll from the Wokery tasted exactly like the other 20 Chinese take-out places I visited throughout the years. Yea, I know … it’s a real shocker.
