I got into Charleston @4am on train tired and just wanted a bed and ended up in probably one of the sketchier motels in North Charleston(MAstersInn), InTown was recommended by a local who is friend of family member. It’s pretty no frills efficiency set up and you are basically renting for a week but the rate is reasonable and as I came to spend some time for a few things and I’m solo it’s a pretty good option. Not a huge fan of the pillows, but has a full size fridge in the kitchenette, and a real sink along with 2 burner electric stove top and micro. Being a chef it isn’t ideal but I appreciate it. Nice TV, good wifi, pretty quiet and has security(doors face out but I’m not concerned) and the staff are all nice I’ve dealt with(hours are kinda weird but it’s less a h/motel and more a residence). I’ve spent a fair amount of time in this town over the years I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to spend some time for the $ it’s hard to beat. Your mileage may vary.
