Nice clothing selection. All new stuff. As for the surplus unless our troops are use gear that is cheap and looks like it’s made in china I don’t think it’s truly surplus at all.

I bought a pair of Timberland Valors about 1 – 2 months ago and shortly after they started to fall apart. I returned to the store to buy new boots and the owner told me that I don’t need to buy new boots; they will replace the old ones with a brand new pair because they guarantee their products. It’s hard to find a business with great customer service, good prices and most of all integrity!

I came to army navy to get some camping supplies for a trip. The store is well laid out and has a nice selection of duty oriented things. The did not sell tents which was a surprise even though I had one already. The people working there where friendly and helpful but beware of the overpriced items! They do have good deals though because I got two very nice knives regularly 15 dollars a piece, for 10! Over all its a good place to shop for anything service or outdoor related just do a little research before you go.

There is not much camping gear to speak of, mostly duty clothes, boots and packs. There are some boy scout/cub scout supplies, generic camping supplies, etc. but as another reviewer mentioned, little in the way of army surplus or tents. They carry Tru Spec– a well respected line of tactical duty clothing, among others, which makes it worth a visit. It’s what first responders and cops wear for duty clothes. The staff is attentive or clingy, depending on how you like being followed around, so I guess they work on commission. They are helpful, but some of the info I got was wrong about available sizes & materials. I would give a higher rating, but I got home and found I had been significantly overcharged for an item I bought(they didn’t use scanners). Then I checked prices on Amazon, and found I really didn’t have a bargain in the first place on the other things I bought. Buyers remorse. They do carry some good quality gear, and if you know exactly what you are looking for, a sale price is awesome. However, look at your receipt twice before you leave.

This isn’t like most of the Army Navy Surplus stores I’ve ever been at. Most all of the stock items are new, not used or appearing to be left over or otherwise discarded surplus items. It doesn’t have those typical big bins of things like canteens or left over used war relics. What it does have is mostly boots, clothing, backpacks and such other items all neatly hung, properly displayed and of good new quality at very good bargain prices. For example, I found a shirt here, nearly identical except for the label, marked for $ 12.00 to one I had previously seen at Abercrombie & Fitch for $ 98, a pair of heavy Wigwam boot socks for $ 17.99 that were exactly what I had seen elsewhere for $ 26.00 and a good quality beret for a mere $ 12.00. Unfortunately I didn’t see any tents and it is generally very light on anything having to do with camping. Many of the t-shirts and clothing items are more novelty than anything else unless you happen to enjoy wearing something with a silly joke saying on it and for Florida, oddly enough, seemingly a overstocked in what would be cold or near winter types of apparel.

I came here on a whim one day. The last time I had been in this place was many years ago, before a fire had destroyed it back in 2000. They rebuilt it a few years later, and so I figured it was high time to pay this place a visit. The workers here are very helpful, and will spend as much time as necessary with you. I just came to browse, and checked out the various knick-knacks they carried(one particularly interesting tool was able to be used like 11 different ways… one of which was a spork). I was happy to discover they carried Dickies pants for girls. The selection seemed to be a bit disorganized, but I managed to find my size and headed to the«dressing room»(really a big, loud metal locker-type thing). As soon as I got in there, the power went out. Someone started telling everyone to evacuate, but then the lights flickered back on. Only half of them came back, and that also meant their cash registers were not operational. Since I only had the one pair of pants to purchase, and happened to have cash on me(for once), the woman at the register was kind enough to let me check out, even if it meant I wouldn’t get a receipt. She said the power issue was pretty common in this area, and it apparently was a frequent enough occurrence in this store.
