The kids love coming here after volleyball practice. We come every week. They remember my kids and are so friendly. The service and food is always good and consistent. We are regulars with quesadillas.

I’m updating my review because they updated their menu to be more comprehensive for their own employees. Since that’s settled, I give them 4 stars for quality and taste of food. Prices are fair and staff, now, is top top. Will keep coming back. As far as food, flautas and enchiladas verde are always on point.

I drove here from Kendal to go here. And the moment I Walked in the door i was treated with the upmost best customer service I have ever received at Tijuana flats.

Only reason for two stars is for friendly staff… The taste is absolutely bland, forget Mexican, I never tasted such tasteless food, at least some salt would do, but you expect Mexican to pack much more flavor. I make better tacos at home with a kit… I’d recommend Taco Bell, if you want quick cheap tacos, at least they have flavor, and the Taco Bell sauces are frankly better… This place had like 20 *mystery* hot sauces, can’t really tell what they are till you try, we tried about 7, none even comes close to anything Taco Bell has. I don’t write reviews, but was compelled to save people from wasting their time and money on this place.

For a chain Tex-Mex restaurant, Tijuana Flats is really good. Really cool place, too. They have good deals most times and reasonable prices.

This place is fast and affordable. Makes amazing food! I love the flautas– the blackened chicken is a great touch you can’t find anywhere else. Tacos are the best. Tastes healthier than Taco Bell. The array of sauces at the sauce bar is intense but amazing! The décor is very laid back and fun. Customer service at this location is the best. It is close to many other stores so you can grab a bite and keep shopping on. The parking lot is big so I never have to worry about parking.

I’ve been here a good amount of times and i haven’t been disappointed yet. Although their employees are a bit slow a times the food has always turned out great! I recommend the tostadas with shredded meat and chicken. I also like their queso!

Ehhhhhh … So, it was my first time coming here with my boyfriend and probably our last. The gentleman who helped us, Juan, was amazing and the sweetest man ever but the food is not our favorite. I only gave it 4 stars because of Juan’s customer service, unfortunately we will probably never go back

Liked eating here the other day! The ambiance is cool, punk rock theme & the tacos are good too. Servers walk around asking you for refills which is nice! Prices are fair.

I’m going to keep this reasonably brief, but I definitely wanted to put in a good word about Tijuana Flats on Biscayne in North Miami. I don’t know how I’ve managed to live less than .25 mile from here for 6 months and never come over for food, because this place is actually really pretty awesome. It’s kind of interesting, because I was sort of expecting the same general format as a other tex-mex restaurants with table service structure, but it’s really more of a fast-casual environment where you order up front, where conveniently, they also have four beer taps(mostly macro beer), beer by the bottle, and they sell all of their hot sauces by the bottle. Right. Hot sauces. There’s a bar in the dining area with 15 different sauces, some hot, some sweet, and many award-winning. Grab a few little paper cups and try them out! I had a steak burrito with a hemp tortilla, which was really pretty good. It’s not as over the top stuffed with rice and whatever as a place like chipotle, which I think I can actually appreciate, the balance is appropriate and the burrito itself, even with double steak, wasn’t exploding. Tip: get chips and salsa and mix and blend your favorite hot sauces into the salsa, which is pretty neutral by default. Overall, super chill, very friendly and approachable staff, good food, low prices. Sounds good to me.

From the time you walk in to this restaurant you’re greeted with a welcome and educated on the menu. The food is fresh. The service is very good and the atmosphere is right on…

Super friendly staff and my food was out really quickly. I know they write your name on the order but being called by name every time an employee helped me was a nice added touch. I had my go to dos tacos with queso. You can’t go wrong with that! Hot sauce bar is great to add some spice and flavor. I prefer the sweeter sauces and you can buy them by bottle which is great to take home!

I’ve only tried their Chicken quesadilla with a side of guacamole! Yum & their sweet tea hits the spot every time. Hippie scenery, indoor & outside seating

This restaurant has very good mex food considering it is basically a fast food restaurant. We love their nachos! The black beans are awesome! My husband loves the fish tacos. But, this particular location is out of this world! We frequent this place so the staff know us. They are always super friendly. On this night it was obvious we looked like something the cat dragged in! We had gone through a series of challenging issues and went there to hang out, eat nachos and chill. The thoughtful manager and staff asked how we were. We said not so great tonight, it was obvious. We didn’t go into great detail, but did basically say these past few weeks have just been terrible. We get to the counter, order and they say, «It is only nachos, but it is on us tonight». No lie, i got choked up! Maybe it was just nachos, but to us it was an act of kindness we needed and it made all the difference! So we love their food, but the team at this location is top notch! Thanks so much you guys… we will never forget your kindness!

Listen Tijuana Flats, we need to have a talk. You should feel equally nervous about that statement as my boyfriend does when I start a conversation that way. I used to love your tacos. But yesterday, I made the mistake of driving by and deciding to pick up some tacos for dinner, because I unknowingly entered into your Tuesday Taco deals soirée. The deal is you get 2 tacos, chips, and a drink for like $ 6, which is like $ 1 cheaper than usual. What you get for this deal is an assemblage of overweight people congesting the restaurant, a wrong order that required a manager’s interference, and THEWORST F*INGTACOS I’VEEVERHAD. I don’t eat taco bell, ever, not even at 4 am after drinking, or when I’m making uninhibited hormonal decisions, or when I’m high and have the munchies. The tacos at Tijuana Flats yesterday made taco bell seem practical. Handle your s***, Tijuana.

At first the menu seem weird but the staff was very kind and professional and helped me getting a great meal. I got the chimichangas, they were amazing ! With a corona and chips it sure hit the spot I’ll be returning again.

I’ve been going to a lot of different Tijuana Flats here in Florida, and I’ve got to say this is my favorite one. First off, the food is great(although the food is very consistent between the different locations), if you like Mexican food Tex-Mex style then you have to try it. Anything in the menu will be great. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos and a bunch of other options including my favorite, Flautas. Plenty of cheese, toppings, guacamole, and queso sauce to choose from. Second, the customer service at this location is the best I’ve had so far, very cordial and fast. And to me that’s makes the experience a lot better. Added bonus are: — Great atmosphere. The walls and ceiling are decorated with very cool graffiti art. Very relaxed environment. — Awesome hot sauce bar: They have dozen of different hot sauces from mild to extremely hot, so there’s one for everybody. Their beer selection is not great, but the food is the focus here. Their prices are very fair. There’s also plenty of parking. Overall, it’s a good place to check out if you haven’t already.

I want to give this place more stars due to the stellar service, but I can’t due to the sauces(NOTSALSA) and somewhat the food. Very few places give such awesome service as this place did. They start by opening the door for you, greeting you with a smile(rare in Miami), she then asked if we had been there before(we hadn’t), so she gave us a run down on the restaurant and the menu. The run down was helpful, as the menu isn’t laid out very well. We sat down to decide what we wanted and then I went up to the counter to order. Again very friendly, helpful and efficient. At the end of taking my order she asked if I wanted guacamole, salsa or queso. I figured they have a salsa bar, so why order salsa. BIGMISTAKE!!! Their salsa bar is really a tabasco sauce bar with different very vinegar based sauces(again NOTSALSA). Tabasco type sauce with Mexican is just flat out WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Did I mention WRONG? Unilocal needs to offer the ability to bold, italicize and underline for more emphasis here. A Mexican restaurant without SALSA is unfathomable. Heck, Pace salsa would be better with their food than the sauces they serve. About the food now. The food came out fast in continuation of the excellent service. I got the Tijuana burrito with steak and everything and«wet» with queso per the lady’s suggestion(good suggestion as it hides the tortilla). My wife got the Norrito bowl with carnitas and my daughter got the mac n queso. The food is done Tex-Mex style, which isn’t necessarily bad, but I was hoping for more of a Sonoran twist as that is closer to what you get in Tijuana and Southern California. The tortilla in the burrito is probably a Mission tortilla, which in my opinionated opinion is the worst flour tortilla on the market. Go to Tucson, AZ and get an Alejandro’s flour tortilla and you’ll understand. The menu itself has a good selection, the prices are good and so are the portions. The ambiance is very casual and clean with plenty of seating. They lost 1.5 stars for the sauce(NOTSALSA) debacle and for the tortillas they use. I would come back, but either order the orderable salsa(if it’s really salsa) or I’ll bring my own.
