Nags Head is the ideal location to stay if you are going to be visiting several villages/towns throughout the Outer Banks. It is a short drive from Duck, Corolla, Roanoke, Manteo, Rodanthe & Cape Hatteras. The Nags Head Inn was a great hotel! It is a casual hotel that is run very efficiently. I cannot stress how clean and organized the entire building is. I was extremely pleased about this. The ocean is only a few steps away from the hotel. The view from the balconies is beautiful! You can watch the sun rise and set over the ocean right from your room! We stayed on the fifth floor, which definitely had the nicest view! The hotel rooms had some nice accommodations, the best being the flat screen TV with about 500 channels available through DirecTV. The rooms also have a coffee maker, refrigerator and iron. The beds were comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable, but a tad smaller than average. The hotel has a daily breakfast setup that serves juice, coffee, packaged pastries and freshly made sweet potato biscuits. Breakfast is served on the second floor. It’s not a very good breakfast selection, but it is convenient if you want to grab a snack on-the-go. The staff couldn’t be friendlier. The ladies at the front desk are always cheerful and happy to give directions. I would happily stay here again!

I started to make vacation reservations in April for August. Every hotel was booked except this one. After seeing and smelling this room I have literally already made our reservation for July 2016., at the Holiday Inn Express. It’s clean enough but the room smells musty. The front desk people don’t make a very good appearance rather unprofessional. It’s only one night here so I’ll tough it out. Tomorrow its off to our vacation rental on Hatteras. Thank goodness!

Clean, clean, clean — which you can’t say about a lot of places. This hotel has apparently had a major renovation within the past year or so. Our family had two adjoining king rooms with small balconies overlooking the ocean. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We’ll go back.

This is definitely an older hotel that they have tried to modernize. A bit. Overall it is very LaQuinta Inns«like» with basic hotel amenities, somewhat comfortable bed, and pretty clean. The breakfast is in dire need of an upgrade, with only prepackaged danishes, juice vending machine, and sub par coffee. They do boast about sweet potato biscuits, which must have been the little sandwich things in the ziploc bags on the counter. This was a surprise visit to Nags Head to me from my BF, so I am not sure what the cost was. Because of the AMAZING ocean view, and OK overall hotel, I was more than willing to stay. I’m just telling myself that at the most he did not pay more than $ 100 a night so I can be comfortable with the overall scenario. If that is the case, I would be ok with returning… Oceanside room however would be a MUST

Not a great place. Not bad but pretty dated. But not in a cool antique way. Needs updating. But doable if you have a bunch of relatives needing a quick hotel room close to the beach.

Great deal! The room was not expensive, it was right next to the beach and the staff was very friendly. On top of that, they have a deal with the YMCA which is only a couple of miles away. As a guest you can visit the YMCA for free, which was super helpful for staying fit on vacation. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back!

It had been over 30 years since I last visited the Outer Banks. Thanks to my stay at Nags Head Inn, it felt like a real homecoming. I didnt remember there being too many options to stay in a nice beachfront hotel, but Nags Head Inn fits the bill very nicely! Its a bit of a hike from the Va. Beach, Tidewater area, but if you are truly into the beach and like being around friendly fellow beach aficionados, I highly recommend Nags Head and fully recommend the Nags Head Inn, for a family outing or a couples getaway. It has everything you need and want in an oceanfront hotel.

Very nice hotel for a nice price. We stayed 5 nights with one night free. Beachside room got us a beautiful sunrise every morning and a nice view for sunset at night. Beach front allows quick access to beach and not a crowded beach. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. Front desk was very helpful with any problems we had. Had a great vacation time. The only negative thing I can say is the«breakfast» offering is weak. It was only a prepackaged«Sara lee» pastries and a sweet potato biscuit with a hint of ham with hint being generous. Luckily there are plenty of breakfast places around the hotel to go to.
