The food is delicious here. Lots of TVs. The staff is friendly. Solid beer selection. I love visiting this place when at the Outer Banks.

I went here twice during my week vacation. Good place to go when you don’t want to dress up and you just want a bite to eat and maybe a drink.
First visit we had fried pickles, very good! We also had the wings. they were okay. Nothing to brag about just good olé wings. My spouse had «The Tim.» It’s basically a Philly but they add pepperoni and some marinara sauce. It was yum-o! The second time we tried their buffalo shrimp, they were super good. Good quality shrimp! They also have a nice section of beer.
This is my suggestion, if you are going to actually eat and not just hang do not sit in the bar area. The service there was super slow.

This place has fantastic food! Beer on tap was great! Had a great burger and fries. Hubby got the Nags Mess Monster and said it was the best burger in memory! Kids finished all their chicken sandwiches and raved about them! Definitely a must on the list, especially with the selection of drinks at the bar. Service was great with lots of friendly smiles!

Great place to see the game, they have 20 TV. There have a large draft beer selection, and the food was good. The only thing was the staff was just ok.

This is so much more than a bar. The left side is a dining room full of TVs, with a lot of families enjoying the delicious food.
Yes there is a long beer list and $ 6 glasses of wine, but the menu is huge and everything we had was delicious.
I had fresh flounder which was the best flounder I’ve ever had. It was a big piece of fish, lightly breaded, served piping hot. It came with big slices of grilled zucchini and squash and a risotto cake. My husband had a spinach salad and buffalo shrimp. He loved it. They have a really nice kids menu too.

We discovered Lucky 12 on our trip this year. We are just down the road but last year we just didn’t stop at very many places.
We ended up going twice! The nachos are very good, the burgers are grilled and they do such a good job. We also got pizza and it was so good.
They are also super friendly. Came by both times to see we were happy and to just chat a little. I love places that make you feel at home.
The parking is not the biggest so plan accordingly. There is a beach access not too far you may need to park there and walk over. If you are close enough and have bikes I’d suggest biking or going at off peak times or just be prepared to wait a bit. It usually works out. just be ready.

Went here for a late night on a Monday and it was packed. If you’re in your 20’s and other places are dead then try Luckys. Great atmosphere. The decorations were on point, the tv’s were everywhere. There is a pool table. The bartenders work hard and fast — great guys. The best part was the pizza though. We had no idea going in what we were about to enjoy was the best pizza at OBX. If you haven’t had their pizza you’re missing out. We chowed down and drank some fine beers (they have an insanely good selection of drafts) and it was great. I will go back.

The food was OK. Probably 3 stars. We had the fish and chips. Not bad, but nothing amazing.
Lucky 12 really shines as a bar :) After dinner we came back to the bar later at night. Everything felt right — just like your neighborhood bar. There is some over-priced skeeball (yes of course I played 2 games). And a pretty neat looking back patio. Bartenders were super friendly, people were singing Weezer songs at the bar.
The beach is a place where most people drink at their house… but if you need a cool place to drink in Nags Head — you can’t go wrong here.

Second time here in two weeks! Great beer selection; draft & bottles. Kids LOVE the pizza! Flounder & oysters were great. So was the seared yellow fin special and the flat iron steak. Our server was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I where in town for vacation we where looking for a place that had a late night menu. we looked this place up and saw that they had pizza and they weren’t that far from are rental. It’s a nice funky bar with pool table and eclectic décor. large deck off the back. We sat at the bar bartenders where very efficient and very busy. we ordered a white pizza with banana peppers it came out in 15 – 20 min, was thin crust, good flavor, could of cooked a lil longer but I think they where just trying to get food out due to the amount of business. Beers where nice and cold. over all a great experience and would return!

Lucky 12 Tavern makes me wish I didn’t leave my harley back up north while coming down here to visit.
This place has the «cool» factor going on especially if you dig bikes and old school memorabilia for sure!
The food here is great! I had the nags mess monster and it certainly lived up to its reputation! 2 beef patties with American and provolone cheese topped with pepperonis, bacon and jalapeños and an egg. This is served with French fries and a side of pickles. The meat and burger was very tasty and seasoned well! I enjoyed the hell out of eating this messy masterpeice! I’d absolutely order this again! In fact I’d make it a must have! If you «dont» like sloppy food don’t order this but if you love good food do yourself a favor an order one.
When I’m back in the outerbanks, hell yeah I’m stopping on back in for another burger and order some deep fried pickles to go with!

Went here about a week ago but we were seated quickly. The server was friendly and great even though we were a complicated couple! We ordered soon after we were seated and our food arrived in a very timely fashion. All in all a great experience! We ordered a buffalo bird and some pizza. I highly recommend ordering both at some point. Good hangout to watch games at too!

I was looking for a local place for lunch, Unilocal helped me find this place, which was less than a mile from whee I was staying.
The owner grew up in Pittsburgh, and gives a nod in the décor to that area with Pabst Blue Ribbon vintage signs & a huge Gulf gas sign. Lots of Vintage Coca-Cola items and other gasoline signs are part of the décor.
I ordered one of their unique items — the Nags Mess Monster. It has two burgers (both good sized patties), pepperoni, fried egg, American and Provolone cheese. I omitted the banana peppers. French fries are included.
This was definitely a filling sandwich. I was still full from it at dinner! I had requested the burger to be done medium, but think it was done medium well. While catsup and mustard were available on the table, I think the burger needed a special sauce, perhaps something with some zing or heat.
We had a new server, who I thought did well.

Walked right in, no reservation, and got a table quickly. Our server was very cool and friendly (chick with a pretty big tattoo on her leg). We didn’t order the healthiest stuff on the menu (though they do have some basic options for that); but damn (!), it was tasty.
I recommend the «The Nags Mess Monster» ($ 13.99). It’s two burgers topped with a fried egg, bacon, pepperoni, banana peppers, American and Provolone cheese. The pepperoni ends up dominating the flavor, but it’s still pretty darn delicious.
