Costa Vida

This is by far the worst Costa Vida around. My advice, go to the downtown Boise restaurant. The service at this Costa Vida is horrible.

Love the steak! It’s amazing. I love the nachos. But we’ve had salad tacos burritos. Everything is delicious. We’ve been here a dozen times. Never had bad food or bad customer service. It’s always clean. Bathrooms are clean.

I’ve been to Costa Vida before but a couple days ago I went to this one in Nampa for the first time. I ordered food over the phone on my way home from work so it would be ready when I got there. I was shocked at how I was treated. First of all the girl who answered the phone was very short and had me repeat everything I said multiple times because she said that my phone was too quiet. No, I have a brand new galaxy that was on high, she sounded like she was very distracted and I was not her priority. It seemed like everything I said I would have to repeat and then she would say it and it wasn’t even close to what I said. I tried to be patient because things happen. So I get there and no one greets me. Finally a guy asks if I needed help and I said I placed an order over the phone. I look down the line and a different guy is looking at the receipt saying no one put a pick up time on it, so my food had not even been made! At this point the girl on the phone walks up. She was more friendly in person but kept repeating my order wrong which made me worried because they were in the process of making the food she was listing off. After I’m done paying she just kind of strolls off without saying anything, no thank you or anything, and I’m watching everyone behind the counter and it looks like they are having social hour! Hardly anyone of probably the 8 or 9 employees were doing anything except talking and eating! I get my food and I leave. They messed up a couple things in their rush but nothing too huge that I felt I should call. I’m giving this place a 1 star solely because of the customer service. I love their food and I want to go back but I won’t because of how awful my experience was. Oh and I caught the girls name that answered the phone… Mayra. If you dare go here and get her just hang up or walk out right then.

Thank you to Juan at Costa Vida today for bringing in salads today! I go to Costa Vida about once a week and have their grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing. I love their fresh food and it tastes so good! Definitely a better alternative to fried food for lunch. I put my card in their drawing and won! Thanks again!

Definitely a «new age» taste to Mexican food. If you go in expecting authentic taste, you may be disappointed. The sweet pork salad is my fav

Love there sweet pork salads! There sweet pork tacos are also wonderful. The people in there are always so nice. Great coupons as well!

Went back here today on a whim for lunch.
I tried the chicken tacos with raspberry sauce, which my boss recommended… sweet isn’t really my thing, but I was actually pleasantly surprised at them.
I’ll be back to try some more stuff in the future.

To me this is another cafeteria type Mexican place similar to two other well known ‘grills’. I did love the fresh made tortillas and the sweet pork tacos that I tried, but felt the staff behind the counter was a bit too concerned with portion control.
Chips and Salsa… In order to enjoy all the chips, one must have plenty of the other, and plastic cups smaller than the chips are annoying :) I just love lots of Salsa, and I know that chopped up tomatoes with a little cilantro is not Salsa to me. We did get another side of blended salsa, but not enough for the chips AND the meal.
Yes, I will more than likely eat here again if near here, as they have more on the menu to try than just tacos.
