Fred Meyer One Stop Shopping

Overall, I like shopping at Fred Meyer, however, I find this location puzzling. The staff is friendly and courteous, but their policies do not seem consistent with their other stores.
Last weekend was one of several times recently that either the shelves were not stocked with the item I needed or they were out of sales items. For example, they are one of the few stores in the area that carry whole Foster Farms chickens but I never find them in stock here.
On this last visit, I arrived at the checkout stand and asked for a few rain checks for the things they were out of. The checker had none and had to call the manager. Minutes later the manager shows up with just two slips in hand and makes us wait while they discuss the issue. Then, the manager suggests «substitutes» for some items. Again, we wait until someone arrives with the items. One customer behind us asked if he should move to another checkout line. The manager didn’t reply. What a waste of time for all of us.
So here are a few ideas: stock your shelves and stop offering sales items that you are reluctant to stock.

Just your avg full service Fred’s. Lines were quick for rush hour. Air stinks outside. Welcome to Nampa! I’ll give it a 4:5 stars cuz the staff are so dang nice!
It does have a Fred’s gas station onsite which is good. I live the The Dalles, OR area & there’s is not.

Fred Meyers is an awesome store. I like that they have lowered there prices to be more on par with Winco and Walmart. I recommend there bakery. There breads are better then there competition. It’s baked fresh daily. There fried chicken is so good. It’s cooked to perfection. There rewards card is great. I can go online and add coupons right to my card. On most Friday’s they have a freebie, that you add to your card. I have gotten free shampoos, yogurts, protein bars. They have a great organic section to. I love there great prices throughout the entire store. They also have great customer service and there store is pretty darn clean

I’m mainly a fan because of their extensive natural foods and gluten-​free section. They have a pretty good selection of organic produce but they could do better in this area… or else they need to tell the kale groupies to calm down and limit them to one bunch a day. This Fred Meyer is close to where I live and as such it’s the place where I go for food, lottery tickets, occasional boxes of wine, greenhouses, candles, banking, Redbox, plates, artwork, and anything else you can think of. Staff is very friendly but the deli and customer service can be very slow. My least favorite part of this Fred Meyer is the deli. The staff can be standing right in front of you when you come up for help and they will look at you while talking to each other. Minutes later they will ask how they can help. Other than that, this is my first choice for a grocery store in the area

They have a great selection of gluten-​free, organic, preservative free foods! Pretty hard to find in the Nampa area without going to Bose. Prices were comparable.
