Mallows Bay Park

So glad we made the trip down there! If you are a kayaker, canoeer or overall just love the water this is a must see!
What is very interesting about this park is that it provides public access to the Ghost Ships of Mallows Bay. These are WWI wooden ships that were abandon. Creepy! The water is fairly calm and easy to paddle through. However there is alot of muck and debris so navigate accordingly. There is also one of the best Kayak launchers I have ever seen!
This is a short paddle trip and there isn’t much ground to cover, but it would be a good morning’s worth of paddling and exploring the ships. If you love watching Osprey, Eagles and Blue Herons this is the place for you.
Not a good beach or swimming destination. I would stay in your water craft. There are no kayaks to rent here, this is a BYO water craft type of a place. I would leave the SUP’s at home unless you want to maneuver through muck and sharp objects.
