Larry’s Pizzeria

There is a big soft spot in my heart for Larry’s Pizza. I’m in my 50s now, but when I was a child, and my family would travel to Nanticoke to visit my grandparents, it was a tradition to phone in an order to Larry’s Pizza, then walk down the street to pick it up. This was when the place was at its original location on Hanover Street. Decades later I stopped by the current location, which is now operated by Larry’s son … and the pizza was exactly the same wonderful taste and smell that I remember. This the quintessential small town pizza parlor, NOT part of a corporate chain, but with its own unique local identifty … and that means it’s the exact sort of place I will go out of my way to find, rather than making do with some bland, cookie-​cutter Domino’s.

Great food. Pizza, wings, Stromboli are all excellent.
