Had great food. the service was awful the manager chased down our car asking for a bigger tip. I had a large pizza and small plus two drinks almost $ 50SMH

Friendly staff! Great pizza. Only thing I would recommend is to educate staff more on wine. I ordered a pinot noir, and was served pinot grigio. Even though I rarely drink white wine, I drank it anyway. When I ordered another glass, I told the waiter that this was supposed to be pinot noir, not pinot grigio, and asked to make sure my next glass was specifically a glass of pinot noir. I was served AGAIN, a glass of pinot grigio. I was not in the mood to argue with the waiter who clearly didn’t understand; but for any establishment on Nantucket, the staff should know the difference.

Tasty pizza! Yummy salads! Affordable prices! What’s not to like? Kelly, one of the owners, is a gem.

I got a buffalo chicken pizza, and a white pizza. They were AWESOME. People gripe about prices, but that’s nantucket for you. From a taste perspective it was great. The buffalo chicken pie had just the right amount of kick to it, not over the top. Did not experience any rudeness in contrast to other reviewers. I suppose the only downside is no delivery.

The woman who runs this place is THEWORST. If you have no self-control or sense of how to interact with customers without being downright rude and insulting, then please, PLEASE just stay in your office. Maybe you can spend some time researching how to make a halfway decent slice.

One of the best pizza places on the island, though you might be surprised at the prices compared to what you’re accustomed to paying off island. Always has slices to go. Dining-in ambiance is simple but fine. Pi Pizza is a bit more upscale if you want gourmet(but good luck getting a table during summer). Faregrounds Restaurant also has good pizza, less expensive. But Sophie T’s is our usual go-to pizza place.

This is actually a reasonably priced place on Nantucket. You can sit down or do take out. I’m a fan of the steak and cheese with perfectly done peppers. I’ve also had a few different pizzas, all of which were tasty. Big fan.

Mediocre at best. You’re probably better off going to the stop&rob across the street and buying Stouffer’s. Stick with the pizza. Everything else tastes like it came off the Sysco truck.

I was vacationing on ACK when, on a non beach day, my family decided on pizza for lunch, then shopping downtown. I chose Sophie T’s, mostly because they had tables to eat in the restaurant but also because some friends had eaten there earlier in the week. By the time we got our act together, it was nearly 2pm. I called ahead and ordered the pizza so it would be ready when we got there. Going to a restaurant with a 10mo. old boy(along with 5 yo girl twins, 4 kids in all) usually doesn’t last very long before we have to go. So, with pizza we know what to order ahead of time. When we got there, almost all table were open. The place was practically empty — lunch hour long gone. **We were told that I couldn’t eat the pizza I ordered ahead of time in the restaurant.** They would not budge on this — even seeing all of my family which had already sat at a table after they said to seat ourselves. I was flabbergasted! I asked for store manager and was told he/she was not there. They had no power to help us. Absolutely ridiculous. Thanks for helping out a family — supporting your restaurant. I was then told that they would call the police if we didn’t pay for the pizza. Really? What’s the charge? With such a lavish lack of display of understanding and reasonableness, I felt compelled to say, do not, DONOT, support this pizza joint. Steamboat is better anyhow.

Let’s face it, there aren’t that many good, affordable options on the island. Sophie T’s is my go to spot when I want a slice and a salad. Friendly peeps, good place for kids and delicious pizza. Nom nom! Check it out.

I have been going to Sophie T’s for years now. A bit miffed at the bad reviews below — I have NEVER had a bad meal there. My favorite combo is a couple of cheese slices with their tossed salad piled on top. Serious YUM. As for prices: this is Nantucket, people. As for rudeness: I have witnessed many occasions when the place was packed and people would come in trying to get service ahead of others or generally being quite rude and demanding. What I saw from the staff(and on a couple of occasions, the owner) was measured patience grow into frustration in the face of being yelled at. Anyone who’s had to deal with the summer crowds knows what I’m talking about. Overall, the staff has always been friendly. And I’ve only had occasion to meet the owner once, but he was quite gracious when he came over to our table to ask how everything was. I’ve had pizza at the other locations mentioned in other reviews. All of them(including the Muse, which has suffered in quality in the past few years) do not compare for freshness and flavor. This pizza lover highly recommends Sophie T’s. Don’t let a couple of sour pusses put you off!

2012 visit proves a big disappointment. We have been customers of this pizza spot for several years. This year was our last– ordered two large pizzas for take out. First of all, we didn’t get the pizza we ordered. Second, the quality of the ingredients was below frozen pizza standards. Conclusion, won’t return.

Came here recently for a late lunch after visiting stop n shop as Pi was closed. We chose not to order the ready made(read: sitting in warmer slices) and ordered a greek salad and a fresh veggie pizza. The pizza had some nice veggies, but the sauce wasnt all that flavorful and the crust was nothing to write home about.

I’m a fan when I get brocooli on veggie pizza, and that’s what I got here. Family got the subs and they looked fantastic as well.

Sadness, I went back to Sophie T’s now under new management. For two slices of Pizza I was charged $ 9.00 yes folks nine dollars. There was rudeness from the owner and that is it for me – I can go to Foods, or the Muse or the new Pi Pizza. This is not unusual that a place will change with new ownership as will service, price and attitude. Not recommended!

Nantucket will never be remembered for its pizza. You might remember Sophie T’s though. Best pie on the island.
