Took a day trip with some friends and really enjoyed myself here. Staff was attentive(only about 6 people in the place) and very helpful. The food was good, I had the prosciutto and mozzarella quesadilla and pulled pork tacos. The quesadilla was a bit greasy but still delicious and the tacos were just fine. Great selection of brews available and they offer samples of any that you want. Tried a couple of the 9.2% from NY and they were great. I would recommend this place if you’re in the area.

If I could live here, I probably would. The manager is one of the best curators around. The place is like a museum. The majority of the taps rotate week over week. The staff is great. I love it. At some point, I hope they read this and give me my own parking spot out front.

Beer selection is awesome for the area with great turnover. Food is good. I like the meatball sliders. I understand that lack of French fried turn people off but overall the food is heathy and great

It’s really hard to find anything I don’t like about this place. First, let’s talk about the beer. As someone from NJ, I like crossing state lines because there are some great beers that sadly never make it into the Garden State because of the distribution rules. So whenever I’m craving Singlecut, Other Half, Finback, Rushing Duck, Newburgh(beyond the cream ale) or Peekskill, I usually head here. They put together quite a beer list with 22 lines. The variety is usually excellent. Flights of 5 are available for $ 12, and they will do some growler fills. The place is spotless. The vibe is low key, friendly, inviting, perhaps a touch hipster but in the end exceptionally mature. I’ve been in the place several times now and have yet to come across anybody acting remotely like an insufferable asshole. The stone and wood on the inside is perfect. I’d want it to be my basement. The food? Strong overall with some items better than others. Hard to go wrong with a peppered bacon appetizer. The thin crust bar pies are also really good. The menu seems to encourage you to split a couple of items so you can try different things. No argument here. Price is a touch higher than mid-range but still generally fair. If the place was a total dive it’d be a different conversation.

The calm, mature, top class Nanuet craft beer stop. I found the food to be very much improved since the opening stages. Bartenders, especially Chris, are highly knowledgeable and passionate«beer geeks» … Some of which are defected from that other craft beer mecca across Rt 59 with a constantly shifting business model. Quieter, softer, more intimate, and ultimately more relaxing than similar area offerings, I’m here at least once a week. Still offering nice outdoor porch area for you wild smoking beer-hall yutes, you have a choice of venue for your craft beer experience. The outside area is beautiful and like your rich uncle’s patio deck, not plastic folding sticky tables from Costco and moldy umbrellas, reeking all the while of stale beer. It’s as nice as my den, maybe nicer, just with the roof ripped off. And the service is certainly better than my den. 22 taps, two of them cask, some nitro, gives a nice broad range of styles to try. Turnover is quick, so don’t hesitate to get the good stuff right away… there might only be a sixtel to start with, and I’ve probably already drank half of it. Granted, there’s not 86 taps like BJ’s Brewjoke, but remember that 84 of their beers are watered down internal chain corporate cartoon beers you might as well buy at Pathmark or Citgo.(Not beer, but Malt Liquor!) Dennis the owner is as Irish as they come; and the attitude and professionalism closely follow what I’d expect in a proper pub in my ancestral Gailliamh. The place is spotless, the bathrooms are spotless, Chris et al take great pride in the décor and hygiene. There are also some wine and sake choices for you non-beer types, and we promise not to ridicule you. Much. Must try. Just stay out of the closed booth; that’s mine.(Housing some refrigeration and dispensing equipment that constantly vibrates the seating benches… you will have to decide yourself what beers pair well with the sensation…) Sláinte!

Its small and cozy, but has a great selection of craft beer on tap to choose from. Not sure what something tastes like but are intrigued by the name and description? – then ask for a sample. 5 small glasses/flights will cost ya $ 12, but thats pretty awesome since you get a taste of everything. There are NOT any seats at the bar, so grab a table while you can. The food menu is small, but has various things to choose from. The mozz and artichoke wrap for $ 10 was tasty and hit the spot. Sadly, there isnt much to eat her for non-meat eaters. HOWEVER, i am coming back and enjoy that dessert pizza. Ive also heard good things about their bar pies.

Is it just me or is this place a bit of a hidden gem? My husband and I were visiting the area for a wedding and looking to grab a bite to eat the night before. Found this place on Unilocal and immediately noticed the solid 5 star rating so we decided to check it out. I immediately liked the look and feel of the bar. The décor/vibe is a bit hipster but not too much so. Also, I have to say that the playlist was super fab. It wasn’t too busy for a Friday night so we stuck around to have some food and drinks. We couldn’t decide which beers to order from their giant tap list, so our server suggested we tell her a bit about what we like and she would put together a beer flight for us to share. This was such a perfect idea, and I’m so glad she offered. The bartender did a great job selecting beers that both my husband and I enjoyed despite the fact that our tastes our slightly different. The beer flight came on a little round chalkboard tray numbered so that you could easily match up the beers to the giant menu on the wall. This was such a great way to mark the beers — some places are not good at this and it’s up to you to remember all the beers in your flight. Not at Ambulance Brew House. My husband and I also shared a chicken quesadilla and a pesto bar pie(10″ pizza). The spicy corn salsa that came with the quesadilla was awesome. I highly recommend this place if you find yourself in the area.
