Wonder Nails

First time there and won’t go back. I had a girl I believe her name was kelly… She was rude and unfriendly. Never smiled. Put zero effort into doing my pedicure and gel mani. I’ve never experienced such little effort in my life. I have all polish around my nails. My little cousin could have done a better job. She was sloppy and clearly doesn’t want to work. I won’t be back and I don’t suggest anyone go either.

I’m super torn about this place. On one hand, my gel mani with Elsa («like Frozen,» she told me) was awesome. She did a great job, was quick and efficient, and very friendly. $ 20 is a good price too.
On the other hand, the salon itself is extremely dirty. The floor was actually coated in dust (from acrylics maybe?). Now that I think of it, everything seemed to be coated in dust. The garbage cans were overflowing, and the airbrush station in the back corner had paint splattered all over it and the wall behind it. I peeked into one of the waxing rooms and it looked as though the table was covered with sheets that hadn’t been changed since the ‘70s.
So I’m torn. I would definitely go see Elsa again for the great gel mani and the price, but hoping that Wonder Nails cleans up its act, literally!

Liz is amazing for pedicures. She is both strong and gentle. Gives you her full attention. Doesn’t get distracted by her surroundings. You are her sole focus.

What a disappointment :(I was excited to possibly find a new nail place after moving to the area. Staff was incredibly nice — and the 45 min pedicure I had with 20 min massage was a bargain at $ 45. But two major issues mean I won’t be back — one, it’s dirty. It looks like it hasn’t had a deep clean in a very long time. Two, she cut me on two nails while doing my cuticles during the manicure. After she poured a substance which really burned onto my nails. Before even leaving, they became swollen and red. I’ve had a lot of mani/​pedis and you don’t need to be injured… the fact it happened in a salon where I’d question the cleanliness of their tools is further concerning. Two stars for value and staff — but nothing more. Avoid.

See Cindy, she is pleasant, kind, friendly, and does great job with gel manicures and pedicures. Excellent prices, superior customer service, clean location. Today was my first visit but I will definitely be returning, she made a customer out of me.

I have UV gel and repeatedly see the same nail technician who knows my preferences, but she was unavailable. So, I booked an appointment at Wonder nails for the first time this afternoon and immediately had a bad feeling within the first few minutes. The reviews seemed really positive though so I figured I would try it anyway. I told them I had an appointment and the woman who greeted me spoke out to a man working there in another language to prompt him to give me a fill-​in. He did not have a client, but simply shook his head, «No.». The fact that someone wasn’t available or willing enough to do my nails when I had an appointment scheduled was off-​putting, but that tidbit paled in comparison to the rest of my time there.
The woman who greeted me ended up doing my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. It was a simple black nail with a glitter gradient. After picking the colors she would be using, we began. The entire time, she was stopping to answer the phone and book appointments. I understand these things need to be done, but it is very annoying as a client to have your session interrupted so often. Also, another technician took payment from a client and then proceeded to have a full whispered conversation (presumably about that client — I couldn’t tell for certain since it was not in English) to the technician that was doing my nails. Extremely unprofessional.
When it got time to design my nails, she began by putting the glitter color on my nail. I was thinking, «Okay, she must just be putting a couple of layers on to make everything really opaque before doing the black.» Nope. She proceeded to cure two thin and extremely uneven layers of glitter gel, followed by the most sloppy french tip I have ever seen. This was totally incorrect because the picture I showed her clearly had the glitter layered on top of the black gel to create a gradient look. I ended up with patchy glittery nails and thick straight black french tips and color all over my cuticles.
After my experience I googled the salon again and saw that Unilocal!does not list the two negative reviews that this salon has on other review sites. I thought that was really shady and decided to share mine and see if it ends up disappearing as well.
All in all, I only saw the work of one of the technicians there, which doesn’t necessarily represent the entire staff. However, between the less-​than-​professional interaction of the staff coupled with the shoddy work and the inconsiderate and liberal use of a language that the clients do not understand (rude), I will not be returning to this salon. The prices are on par with the salon I went to in Mount Kisco to get them fixed 3 hours later. My nail technician that works out of her house does an outstanding job at ¹⁄₃ of the price.

FIRST and LAST time going to the so called «Wonderful nails»…My experience here was NOT good. They have a horrible color selection and the people are not welcoming. This was the worst mani/​pedi I have ever gotten as it was very rushed and messy. The lady in charge of my mani/​pedi did not massage my feet/​hands at all and failed to clean my nails well. She also did a very sloppy painting job and did not clean up the paint left on my skin. I would have done a much better job painting my own nails.

Great friendly and fast. Pedicures are awesome and always new options. Clean … Tony for fill ins. He’s the best!

Wonder Nails is great! Clean, efficient, Tony is the best! He is quick, my nails always look perfect and they last! I have been going here for years without any issues! Also Tammy is great for Pedicures! If your looking for a nail place,…look no further!!!

This is the place for pedicures, acrylic tips, waxing and facials. I have gone here for years staff is very friendly and accommodating, prices are reasonable. some of the best pedicurist’s are May, and Joanne, they have a large section of spa pedicures within a range of prices. Love the selections of designs for acrylic nails and crystals they can do to jazz it up. They have something called a gel top that is unlike any other! it can only be removed with the electric file, so it locks in polish color or airbrush designs with out possibility of being removed with polish remover, so it lasts till your next fill. Great place and they are back in there normal location about a year ago they had a damaging fire so it has been under construction while they worked at another location, and they are now back in a brand newly built shop!
