If youve spent the night drinking into the wee hours there’s not a lot open after 3am. Especially if youre headed down Silverado. In the pouring rain, this was our reprieve to get hydration and fight the onset of cotton mouth of late night imbibing

I know this seems random to write a review for a 7eleven but this place is awesome for a 7 eleven. Everytine I walk in, they smile, are friendly and they know I have celiac so they always try to show me new gluten free things they are starting to carry. I also like that they have five different flavors of crystal geyser sparkling water– that’s more than the avg 7 eleven! It doesn’t seem like much but its a nice touch.

Went there to get a Lottery ticket for this coming Saturday. They sold me one for today instead and said they could not refund it. Lies! I went across the street to Shell and they told me Super Lotto can. The guy just didn’t want to void the ticket. I WILL never go to this location again. The main guy, the owner I think, was rude! I suggest if you want friendly customer service, Hi to another 7 – 11!

Worst 7 – 11 ever. Not a good coffee selection and the creamer selections sucked too.

The Silverado Trail 7 – 11 is one of the most challenging ones to enter. From the Silverado Trail, the entrance after the intersection is deceiving-it’s actually an exit. At noon, the stock seemed to be running pretty low. It’s across the street from a former funeral home/mortuary, so it’s kinda depressing. I was able to get a pint of Ben&Jerry’s at a cheaper price than The Silverado Trail 7 – 11 has the air of a frontier mercantile, on a back road before it winds into the Vaca Range.

We used to come here when no one else was open to sell beer that we didn’t need. I grabbed a stack of those auto traders that they give away and papier-mâchéd your car in the rain. We haven’t spoken to each other in the fifteen years since. I came here to buy a gatorade after biking up and down Monticello Road … or after running around the hills above this store. I came here when no other store would sell me corn nuts and cola for breakfast. Many come here to get their caffeine… their nicotine… It’s long been that kind of guillotine for our teen dream. And to think: Some of us grow up and never look back at the 7 – 11 days. They are memories that have been erased and have vanished forever, like a long gone yesterday with salt encrusted finger tips and chocolate lips and coca-cola sips. But some of us never grow up. We continue to frequent the 7−11s of the world… or at least check in from time to time out of a sweet tooth urge or out of a necessity that couldn’t be fulfilled anywhere else.
