Difficult to make exchanges at all locations. Charge you shipping with exchanges sent to your house. No consistency in knowledge of stores from location to location. Told there were 11 items of the item I wanted to exchange in Napa. Drove to Napa to find there were none. That’s when they charged me over $ 7 to ship the exchange to me. Not only did I drive far out of my way to make the exchange but then was charged to make it! Their inventory system and other technology is outdated so Anne Taylor Stores are not able to keep up with the growing population and tech world of consumerism.

Ann Taylor Factory is probably my favorite place to shop at of all of the Napa Outlet Stores. First of all, the staff is enthusiastic and there to please… and this pleases me to no end. The clothes and accessories are au currant and the prices make you swoon… there’s always a Sale going on and you always get at least 40%, 50% or 60% off the ticketed price. Also, unlike a lot of outlet shops, the clothes here are new and not picked over seconds that have been tried on multiple times. It always amazes me how little attention is paid to Customer Service in this era of high technology. Boutique Owners, PAYATTENTION! Ann Taylor Factory should be the training ground of all of your Sales Personnel! While Outlet shopping usually drives me crazy, I will be sure to frequent Ann Taylor Factory. They make shopping EASYBREEZY and there always seems to be a parking spot just outside their door. I might not go to any other Shops at the Napa Factory Outlet, but you can be sure I will return to Ann Taylor.

The Ann Taylor Factory stores in general have GREAT stuff. I can always end up with several shopping bags full on the way out the door. The staff here is friendly and efficient, the prices are great and the selection is really nice.

This is a good product line. However, this particular store people’s attitude will change 360 degree from the minute you walk in the store if they realize you are here to get a «price adjustment»(return and repurchase), even you told them you just spend a thousand dollar here two days ago. And the manager particularly told me she cannot help me to find anything since I am exchanging things. Is that how you supposed to treat your customer? With Poor management.

I recently discovered this store, and I am so very happy I did! Just walking in the door I noticed three things: beautiful clothes, great lighting and space and best of all, really warm and friendly staff! I was also happy to find that their prices are great, and they have a great selection of petites. I must acknowledge Andrea, who has seen me twice and remembered me the second time I came in. She is just lovely, a great help and a genuinely gracious person!(Oh, and she’s a Giants fan, too… which ALWAYS helps!). Also, a shout out to Tanya(sp?) who was also helpful and a lovely person, too! I will definitely be shopping there regularly!

This was my second visit to this store at the Napa Outlets, since last summer when I was a newbie. Anyway, I was excited to be back, since AT is one of my favorite brands, which I also had worked for in my mysterious East Coast past. I was greeted by a cheerful gal whom I chatted with while I began browsing through the shirts and sweaters. I made my way around the spacious store, just looking at everything to see what appealed to me. I was asked at least 3 more times by two people, if I was looking for any certain kind clothing or something to that effect. I appreciated the attempts to help me, but I felt like they didn’t quite trust me or something, which makes me a bit uncomfortable. At one point a girl tried to help me, then stood in front of me folding, as if she was watching over my every move. I was just browsing, and I like to check out the price tags, so I don’t see why they acted like that really. SInce I worked for this company before, I know all about the CS and security training, and I am not one of those women walking around with a giant shopping bag from Lord & Taylors — empty. Ahem. Anyway, sorry if I sound a bit miffed, just hate that feeling of being watched like a hawk, instead of genuine interaction, such as the associate making a helpful statement about the item I may be gazing upon, which opens up the dialogue. I wasn’t quite as enthused about the selection this time, but I did manage to find two tops that I had to buy. They actually do have a very nicely displayed layout, every top was neatly folded on tables, and the«face outs» were somewhat appealing too. I think the prices are very good here, since I like the quality and design, plus the stretchy tops always fit me quite well. They offer each style top/camisole/LS tee… in at least 6 to 8 colors or prints/stipes. There’s also a good selection of suiting spearates for career gals(I am not one at the moment), which I can attest to being versatile and great values for the quality, based on my past experience with their LOFT and AT lines. They are opening a LOFT outlet soon, so I will look forward to going there next time I hope. One last thing,(sorry to be long winded), but the gal who rang me up didn’t even look at me when I can over to the counter, and she spoke in a bit of a rehearsed manner, which I found quite a turn off. Then the other gal asked my hubby and I if we are looking for a job. Um, no, we are just visiting Napa, but thanks for asking.

This location is my favorite of all Ann Taylor stores. This seems to be the outlet of Ann Taylor outlets because the prices are so good. The store is large and has lots of good light. I’ve always found the staff to be helpful and they don’t mind when several of us share a dressing room(some stores strangely haven’t wanted me to go in with my mother or sister). I don’t make it here often because it really is a trek for me but I’m always glad I made the trip.

One of the ways in which I make up for my many husbandly faults is my skill at female clothes shopping. I bring a couple of useful talents to the game: 1. While I may get exiled from husband island for this, it really doesn’t bother me to tag along with wifey while she shops for clothes. Catch me on the right day, and I even enjoy it(it’s a bit like having your own doll that will dress itself up in clothes you pick [see below]). Worst case scenario, I’ll find a chair somewhere, sit down, and wait patiently. 2. I know wifey’s size in everything. Including the things where she’s between sizes. This makes me invaluable when clothes shopping hits round 2: trying things on in the dressing room. For most husbands, this is down time. Not for me. I’m out on the floor, continuing to look for more stuff that wifey might like. Which I can do because I know what will fit. Which means that after she emerges from the fitting room to let me see how everything looks, I can give her a few more things to try. And no, I’m not secretly gay. Thanks, though. 3. I’m not price sensitive. I have gotten over the fact that I can order a custom-made shirt for about $ 80, and it’s much much larger than anything that would fit wifey(i.e., more material), and yet somehow the cottony thingy off the rack at Nordstrom’s is $ 120. I have accepted that women’s clothing is not priced in any rational way. Ann Taylor has a variety of excellent basic work clothes for women. The kind of clothes I would make if I made work clothes for women: female versions of men’s work clothes. While this seems like such a simple concept, I have discovered it’s almost amazingly hard to find. Walk into any decent store and you will find 20 different kinds of white, long-sleeve, button-up, collared dress shirts for men. The shirts will start at about $ 30. Go find that for women. I dare you. You will go insane before you find it. And yet, these shirts work just as well under women’s suits as they do under men’s suits. Ann Taylor had a few of these shirts. And some in different colors as well. In and out in 20 minutes with 4 new shirts, for under $ 150. Everyone’s a winner.

There was a good selection of Petite clothes for an outlet store. I found a nice pair of shorts for a good price. I bought two of them. I had a difficult time with the slacks they had in the selection. The fit was a little weird. It made the backside look less than desirable. Perhaps alterations are required in some cases if you are short like me. I still felt that some of the clothes were on the expensive side. I didn’t feel like there was anything there that was an absolute bargain. My shorts cost $ 20 each after multiple discounts. Its cheap but not«CHEAP!» Its worth a look.
