I have known Brittany for several years now– our relationships started when we selected BLR as our wedding photographer for our wedding in Las Vegas in October 2009. We are based in SF but had a big, fun(yet classy!!) wedding in Las Vegas. At that time she was based primarily in Las Vegas but later expanded/relocated to Napa as well which was lucky for us as we were able to do our engagement photos in San Francisco(which are also incredible). Anyway, I digress. For us, the two most important aspects of our wedding(other than committing your life to another person of course) were finding a band that would keep our guests rocking all night long and finding that incredible photographer that was able to do more than just snap the standard wedding photos. We wanted someone that could capture us, our guests, the«magic» we felt that day. We felt we found that with BLR and Brittany, specifically. We felt she was a real person + a photographer, and felt a real connection with her. Our wedding photos are beautiful and several of them are truly captured in my mind forever– I know every little detail– because those photos capture every moment and feeling(if that is possible) of that day. We constantly are complimented on them and have had numerous requests for our«incredible photographer». We also ordered our wedding album through her and the quality is pretty unreal. I look forward to working with Brittany again– and actually we already have something lined up in Napa with our one year old. In most cases, relationships with wedding vendors will be very fleeting and limited to interactions up until that day. That isn’t the case with Brittany, as we look forward to continuing to work with Brittany as we add more to our family as well. Many of her other clients feel the same way as well. I am happy to share any of our photos/experiences so feel free to Unilocal me if you would like to discuss.

Brittany at BLR Life Photography came recommended to me via Kelly from A Savvy Event, when I was planning my wedding. I instantly fell in love with Brittany’s style after checking out her website. I was a little nervous about price because I know that great photographers can come with a heavy tag. Kelly briefed Brittany on my budget and she was able to offer me a much more affordable option for just two hours less of services for the day. After long consideration, we opted for the full 8 hours and just re-adjusted our budget. Photography was pretty high up on our priorities for the day but we were definitely thankful for the options and flexibility she had. I knew from that moment that she would be great to work with. We received a complimentary engagement session in wine country which turned out beautifully. This just cemented our decision of choosing her for capturing the most important day of our lives. We met in a park in Napa and hopped in her car. She drove us around to about 6 different locations and coached us through the whole process. Neither of us had ever been in front of a «real» camera before and she definitely knew how to make us at ease. Some of the different places didn’t look that great in person but she reassured us and showed us her favorite shot right there on her camera. It was nice to see a quick preview and of course she was right every time. On the day of the wedding, Brittany’s husband & business partner, Eric, assisted her as a second photographer. They were a great team and we were so lucky to have them there with us the entire day. Brittany even came to my rescue by helping alter my dress! When I put it on, we realized that one of the sewn in bra pieces was awkwardly pulling the fabric on the outside and it just looked off… She quickly grabbed some tiny scissors and snipped the unruly piece of thread that was causing the strange tugging of fabric. How did my alterations lady miss that? Throughout the day, they not only captured beautiful pictures of my husband and I, but of the whole bridal party, and a ton of our guests which was so nice. During the cake cutting, I can’t remember if it was Brittany or Eric, but one of them actually stepped in to help when we were floundering trying to figure out how to hold the knife and cut the cake together. They quickly popped in, placed our hands on it the right way, and popped out of view. Where was my day-of coordinator? It’s like they’re some sort of photography ninjas doing everyone else’s job AND theirs! I’m surprised she didn’t hop behind the DJ stand and start mixing music. As the end of the evening approached, Brittany reminded me to get together with any guests that I may have missed taking photos with. Another cool thing that I hadn’t even thought of, they took pictures of the amazing spread of food courtesy of Alex’s Catering. The food was amazing and I’m sure we would have remembered that it was good but having photos of the deliciousness was such a great idea and reminder of it all. It’s the little details, you know? To top it all off, I couldn’t even begin to count the amount of complements that we have received on both our engagement and wedding photos. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Brittany again for the most important day in my life.
