Hours stated 8 – 5 today. Called and woman answered… didn’t announce her name or company. After asking her if this was garage door repair company she replied with a yes and then awkward silence. All along her tone seemed irritated and bothered that I would be calling for repair services today. She even asked in an annoyed tone «and you need services today». Duh??? My garage isn’t opening! If you don’t want to work today… change your business hours. Website said they provide service throughout bay area and once I told her my location she said oh… we don’t go there. Mind you I’m less than 10 miles away from there location. Hmmmm? Hope your experience is better than mine and she even goes as far as booking an appointment. Had high hopes based on other reviews :(

Epic service. We managed to break (or realized we had broken) our garage door AFTER 10pm and happened to see Dennis’ sticker as we stood there and scratched our heads about how we were going to get the cars out of the garage in the morning for work! I was getting ready to call-​in when we saw that his sticker said 24-​Hour service.
We got in touch with Dennis’ wife who let us know that he could be here soon. Dennis showed up and went straight to the garage and went to work with purpose, he replaced both springs in under 30 minutes and it’s 11:30pm now and he’s been gone for long enough for me to write this review. Very fast, very responsive.
This kind of service makes other home service companies look like chumps. I would highly recommend Elite Garage Door to anyone.

After the earthquake I had a problem with my garage door and I called Dennis out of the phone book. He came over that same day and fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. When a similar problem occurred Dennis came over quickly and found another problem which he fixed for free. I called him again 9 months later as my opener wasw on its last legs and had him put in a new opener. His work is work is excellent and he cleans up after himself. Cost is reasonable and I recommend him highly.

On a Sunday evening, of course, my door came off it’s hinges and could not be closed, period. Found Elite by searching Unilocal.The wife answered and asked if I would mind if they finished dinner and would be right over. Yikes, how nice! Dennis, the owner/​operator, showed up and got the door working and the price was minimal. The door was original and showing signs of age. We discussed it for a while and I decided to replace the entire system.
Dennis gave me a quote on the spot and showed me different styles. He came out exactly at the agreed time (by himself) and removed the old system and installed the new. Quality of work is excellent and cleaned up very nicely. He is very amiable and easy to work with. Would and will recommend Dennis and Elite to anyone!

My garage door came off track and I called Elite to come fix it. Both Dennis and his wife were super friendly and Dennis showed up on time and fixed my door in 30 mins. Cheap and a quick fix, I really appreciate it. Thanks Dennis!

It’s nice to read the glowing reviews. I’m just trying to figure out why he doesn’t return calls to schedule work.
I met with him when I first purchased house he gave us a verbal amount. We told him it would be awhile.
I called his office spoke with his wife. She told me he would call the following week to set something up. 2 weeks went by I called again left message. To this day I haven’t heard from him or his wife.
My thoughts are — have the decency to call and say we’re too busy or we just don’t want the work.
It’s unfortunate that now my friends and family know that he’s the guy who flaked!

Dennis repaired our door often for years until we decided to buy a new one. He was patient and helpful until we made all the decisions of style and design for the new door. Installation went without a hitch. He is punctual and professional. We are 100% satisfied and know that he will be there to service our door if needed in the future. His product is high quality and he offers everything a big company offers and more.

The owner Dennis was extremely nice and helpful. Not a scam artist like most garage door companies out there. I was told by another company i needed a new door Dennis was able to fix my garage door 3 months ago and haven’t had a problem since. I like that he is in contact and does the work himself to make sure it is perfect. Great job definitely recommend.

I’ve used this guy twice now in Benicia. The first time I figured it might be a fluke, but the second time around confirmed that this guy is GREAT! Very reasonably priced, knowledgeable, timely, and professional. What’s not to like! And I guess I am not the only one who has figured out the best of the best. When I called him, he was on his way to an appointment in San Francisco (Nob Hill). I am pretty fussy when it comes to getting any kind of service. I have high expectations, and usually know a little bit about what they are doing… so am not easily fooled. This guy exceeded by expectations in every facet of what he did (replace garage door opener, tuned up garage door). Give this guy a chance and you will see what I mean. By the way, he is not a big company. As far as I can tell it’s a two man crew (owner and helper).
