Local donut shop on my side of town. Donuts are made daily on site, you can see the ladies in the process as soon as you walk inside. You might want to arrive early though, as they do close early and run out quick. Overall, nice small neighborhood stop to grab yourself a morning treat.

Simple perfect donuts. I’m especially fond of their maple glazed donuts.

This amazing donut shop is seriously to close to our home. While we cant smell the aroma of frying dough, we can easily walk to the shop and pick up some of their killer donuts. Location aside, Happy’s is as good as any donut shop I’ve tried if not better than most chains. Their donuts offer a nice balance between sweet and greasy fried goodness. They offer your standard glazed raised, cake/old fashioned donuts along with huge fritters and bear claws. My favorite is the fruit spiked apple fritter. The edges are crisp and oily while the inside stays moist and fluffy. Its the donut among donuts. Happy’s is cash only so plan accordingly. A dozen of mixed fancy donuts(including 1 cinnamon roll, 1, fritter, and a mix of other donuts) is $ 13.95. Or just get an apple fritter, $ 1.95. Its huge and so satisfying. Do it!

If you need to be up early in the morning, Happy’s Donut Tree is the place to go. It’s cheaper than Starbucks, and they have a full line of pastries made onsite. Their filled jelly donuts with powdered sugar topping are excellent, as is their Farmer Brothers vanilla hazelnut coffee. The service is friendly. It’s a popular place for people coming to order in quantity– it’s typical for customers to be ordering a dozen at a time. The caveats is that they’re cash only&they have limited hours. They open early(6 am) and close early. Like the donuts, be an early riser!

I was very displeased with Happy Doughnuts, i went in there and picked out my dozen and went to pay, I had my debit card and then the man tells me that they dont accept anything but cash, Seriously, wow, and then he went on to be more rude, he then put the boz of doughnuts on the back counter and said to me, There is nothing i can do about it. Wow wtf with pure attitude. I rather go to buttercream atleast they dont give u attitude and there doughnuts are so much better anyways, i am a very unhappy customer that will not return there.

I drive all the way across town to get their donuts. Go early because they do run out. The best donuts in all of Napa County.

We LOVE Happy’s Donuts! Seriously the best donuts in Napa, even Buttercream Bakery doesn’t even come close to the fresh and fluffy donuts Happy’s has to offer. This place is more about quality versus quantity, and their fresh donuts definitely show it. Our favorites are the crumb cake donut, the blueberry donut, the maple bar, and the apple filled bear claw donut. The owners are very consistent and I’ve never had a bad donut. The prices are very reasonable as well. Tip: Cash only and come early! I mean early! They only make a limited amount of donuts and they usually run out pretty early, especially on the weekends. But they’re worth it!

I purchased a few dozen for my students. You know what they asked me… If I got them at 7 – 11. Ok, guess they weren’t too impressed.

I went for the donuts — the sign on the inside of the door read: «Out of Donuts». Would have been nice if they posted it outside so that I didn’t have to waste my time trying to find parking and then make the walk up to the store front. I guess I better go next time at 6am. I will give them another try.

About six months later, I decided to come at an earlier time to give this donut shop another chance. I underestimated you Happy Donut Tree Too! Your donuts are fluffy as hell, and it’s no where close to oily! I’m pleased. :) The donut shop is easy to miss. It’s hidden behind Carl’s Jr. and a Mexican restaurant. The lady at the front looked exhausted, but she still made an effort to be friendly and patient while I figured out what I wanted. Regular donuts are about $ 0.90 while twists and other goodies range from $ 1.35-$ 1.75. There are also some deals were you can buy an assorted package for about $ 13.00. They also serve coffee and other beverages for your donuts. However, I recommend that you come around 6AM-8AM if you want more variety of donuts. It seems like they make their donuts FRESH daily, so whatever they sell that morning will be gone fast! First come, first served! Remember this place only accepts cash, so if you have debit or credit, you better find an ATM machine fast!

I judge a doughnut shop by their glazed, raised donuts. Theirs are as good as anybody’s. In fact they are all good, being as that is just about all they make. The shop is a little hole in the wall at Riverpark shopping center. For you travelers it is just off the freeway on Imola. It is not fancy but it is clean. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is cheery early in the morning. The coffee is hot. It is the perfect stop if you are headed out fishing or getting on the road for the trip home. Just get rid of the doughnut bag before you get home or you will be in trouble.

Best Doughnuts in Napa. Hole in the wall place, can easily be missed;it’s behind the Chevron, in Riverpark plaza. Bigger doughnuts then most. Best Apple Fritters, and Buttermilk Bars. Cheap and larger then most doughnuts these days.

Pros: — They have a wide variety of fresh donuts — The coffee isn’t the worst ever but not the best. However they have a variety of sweeteners and whole milk, 2%, and half&half in the little fridge next to the counter — The bagels! I like my bagels soft and pillowy with just a slighty toasted crust. I always get a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese and the sweet lady who works there slices, toasts and spreads cream cheese on it for you. Cons: — Not the fanciest place — A bagel with cream cheese is $ 2.45, which is not necessarily expensive but not cheap either — Coffee refils are $.50 cents each and a medium coffee is $ 1.40

Take a Krispy Kreme donut. Multiply it by 1.5 in all dimensions. You now have 3.4 times perfection for $ 0.80. While I historically have not been a huge fan of the donut, I’ve had to feed a lot of people at 6AM this harvest and I’ve made the rounds(buying donuts or equivalent 7 days/week for 6 weeks). Hands-down, H.D.T.T is the nastiest-good place in all of Napa. And even if the donuts sucked(which they don’t), the name alone would compel me to try it. Oh, and the couple that work there are super-nice. Oh, right, the coffee sucks. I almost took off a star for this because the coffee is kind of lame and they only have non-dairy powder stuff. However, that’d be like taking off a star because I didn’t like their shoes. Grease, sugar, flour — the triad of early morning nirvana. Go.

Love this place– very small and tucked into the plaza you can easily miss it driving by so be careful because it’s really worth the stop. I am a bagel person– I am always on the lookout for the freshest and softest I can get my mitts on and this place has it! However– you have to work hard to get them because they don’t make many so you want to get there before the rest of the savvy few do. Their donuts are very good and smell amazing(as I said not so much my thing but they are light and fluffy inside and have a very thick frosting and glaze selection). Best in Napa– without a doubt!
