Shabby chic with a high price tag-all perfect décor for my dream cottage in the woods. Ivy, Twig & Twine is down near the newly constructed river front shopping and dining and is an absolutely delightful little spot. It’s also relatively high priced so go in with some tempered expectations. They carry a darling array of woodland themed decorative items, candles and small garden statuary. It’s fun to walk around and day dream about a forest fairy wonderland space. However, the price point is a bit higher than I’d like to pay, although the pieces are high quality and unique. Minus a star for the sullen service-we walked in and weren’t greeted. There was a sulky looking teenager at the register who didn’t say a word to us. Otherwise, I recommend stopping in for a bit of whimsy.

What an awesome shop to explore! It is a very large compliment to say that Ivy, Twig & Twine reminds me of the speciality boutiques you find in Carmel-by-the-Sea. A charming mix of hand-crafted décor items, mixed with some unique boutique-y stuff that you find at the house of your coolest friend, like napkins printed with black & white peacock feathers, or candles that smell like coffee, coconut and tobacco. The proprietor definitely caters to the seasonal crowd, and even on November 2, the store was still lined with awesome Halloween décor. Many hours and dollars can be spent here. Definitely give yourself some time to really look around here — even though the shop is cozy, there are treasures hidden in every corner.

I am such a sucker for a whimsical, sparkly, full of fun and enchanting things type window display, and this place has it in spades. Full of stuff you don’t need but want, it’s a great stop for gifts, or seasonal décor.
