I took my Chevy Silverado P/​U to get smogged and I showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment. I was taken right in and the Customer Service was top notch. I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. I highly recommend this place for smog tests.

Great experience! Friendly and efficient, I was in and out in 15 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon. I will be sure to visit them again.
The gentleman who tested my car even took the time to note that my AC belt was cracked and in need of replacement. Good customer service, considering it’s a test-​only center and they don’t perform any repairs.

Great all around shop, was in and out in 15 minutes. Going to get a smog test is a lot liking going to the denist… your nervous at what they are going to find wrong and how much it is going to cost you.
Kim at the front desk did a great job of explaining the process and keeping a conversation as I waited for my results.

McGrath’s is tucked away off of Soscol, the main thoroughfare that runs North-​South through the town of Napa. It is not hard to find and well worth the visit (from Soscol turn west onto Vallejo and then the first right is Action Avenue; it’s near the end of that short block on the right). McGrath’s is a Star Certified smog test-​only facility, which means they can test and certify the broadest range of vehicles possible — even that old Honda you bought out of state. The staff and tech are the nicest people, very knowledgeable and super careful with your car. The waiting area is clean and nice, as is the test bay. Fast, friendly and efficient, as others have said.

Super nice, super fast and super efficient. Nice people to do business with! I took our new used car in for smog, late morning, after I finished the paperwork I figured I would have at least ½ and hour if not more. I was driving away in less than 15 minutes! They made it very simple, they were very pleasant, they were FAST!

Hello… I have been getting my cars smog tested at McGrath’s since they have opened… Paul n’ Kim are very efficient, quick and professional. Just recently I experienced a problem with evap passing. Paul pointed out the issue, I took the vehicle home, replaced a couple of hoses all within an hours time. I brought it back and passed with flying colors. Highly recommended this shop, very clean and they offer water and soda.

McGrath’s is the best smog-​only shop in Napa. In the unfortunate event that your little beater car needs to get her breathing tested, the owner Kim will take excellent care of you the moment you walk in the door.
I am not sure how much I can write about a smog-​only station because, well, they only do smog and they do it well! 5+ stars!
