We’ve driven past this place so many times. Glad we stopped by… good beer and cool«local bar» setting.

Napa Smith Brewery is the definition of a man cave. From broad games, to a large sized jenga, to darts along with some good IPA is definitely my type of scene. Before heading to dinner, my friends and I stopped by here after going to a few wineries because we’re all beer drinkers. As we entered, I already knew I’d love the atmosphere because of the music they were playing and how laid back this spot was. I also really appreciated the bartenders for taking good care of us. I love their beer flight sampler which was $ 12 for 10 of their IPA. I really enjoyed their Golden Gate IPA. Napa Smith Brewery is probably one of my favorite breweries beside Russian Brewery. Highly recommend this spot to anyone because they’re one of the best beer joint in the city of Napa!

I just enjoy this place. No fancy meals or ‘cocky’ cocktails. Just Napa Smith Beer. Definitely delicious beer. I’ve heard some customers come in & buy 10 cases of their beer! That’ll be me someday ;-)

My boyfriend and I stopped by since he loves buying their beer from the local stores here in the Napa valley and one of the Brewers that works here is from our favorite brewery, the Silverado Brewing Company, which is unfortunately closed now. My boyfriend got the flight tester and I am not really impressed. Not thoroughly impressed with them but they have decent to okay beers I like sweeter beers and their Golden Gate IPA was good for people who like the sweeter aspect. I tried the 16 ounce west coast wheat and it was good. If you like strong wheat tasting beer, you will like this one. I liked it but the wheat was too strong. I loved their Scarecrow saison beer with blood orange. That was tasty and the blood orange gave it an interesting after taste. The guy we had was good and he seemed knowledgeable enough and seemed to know what to give us based on what we described to him what we liked. The only other thing I was confused about was that I saw a fee reviews on here that said the food was disgusting but when we asked, they didn’t have a kitchen to serve food. I get it, I grew up and live in the Napa Valley, middle of wine central where every 200 yards there is a winery offering tastings, and the idea of having a beer tasting room is totally cool. BUT I don’t get why a brewery does NOT serve food too(yes, I know what a brewery is, they brew beer and alcohol). I’ve been to Silverado Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada brewing company in Chico, California, the North coast Brewing Company in Fort Bragg, California Mt St. Helena brewery in Middletown, Bear Republic Brewing Company in Healdsburg, California(known for racer 5 beer) and a couple other ones, and they all had a menu or full out restaurant for you to enjoy beer and food, so unfortunately that docked a couple stars in my opinion.

Very friendly people. The beer was ok. It would be nice if they had a sour. Outside is a huge, open garden-like expanse… But seating is only limited to a small roped off area with no view… kind of odd. They don’t have food here, so we didn’t stay very long.

Really friendly staff, fun environment and great beer. They had a few drinking board games and even let us bring in our own game of Jenga. They had a giant Jenga also haha.

Since RS Lipman has owned Napa Smith everything is going down hill and fast. The beer is getting worse, the service worse… just not good at all. There are so many better beers out there and so many better places to go in the Napa area for food and beer and wine. Don’t do it. RS Lipman is just a white trash company that makes white trash products. I know some of the salespeople and they are just the worst… cheeeeesy and classless. Stay away. I feel sick just thinking about the beer and food we had… ouch !

Good price for the tastings at $ 12. Dog friendly as well and friendly services. Only issue is the the beers are not that tasty. Some were decent, but nothing stood out unfortunately.

The venue itself is nice, but as far as service and beer, we were generally not impressed. The service left a bigger impression than the beer, which could be both good and bad for either part. There was only one beertender at the bar, and while only one person was seated there, she seemed to be in a frenzy. When we got her attention, we asked for a flight(the sampler), and were told it’d be awhile because all the glasses needed to be washed. This seemed odd as there were maybe two groups of four, and the one guy at the bar. We weren’t in any hurry, so no big deal. I saw the size of the sampler when it was done, and it was then I noticed nothing on the menu has a price on it. I’ve no clue what this monster cost. A few minutes later, my fiancée asked about a bowl of snacks. It took minutes for the beertender to notice her at the bar(which was still practically empty). She was asked what the name on the tab was, but was never told how much the snacks would cost. Why aren’t there any prices? In the end the total wasn’t unexpected, but that«blank check» feeling isn’t a great one.

Zero stars being owned by lowest level cheap booze brand R.S. Lipman. You know, the makers of all-time classics like Heroes Vodka and Old Hickory Whiskey(or may have seen the empty bottles underneath bridges, high school parties, etc.)?? Two stars for beers. Most are forgettable and not interesting. Four stars for service as they do a good job slinging what they have to offer. Had I known the current owner I would not have stopped by in the first place. Probably a cool story originally but bought by a cheap, crap, street drunk liquor brand. That being said their staff was pleasant. Would much rather go to Russian River, Lagunita’s, or Drake’s if in this area.

This is a good place for me to stop after work for a beer with some coworkers. I see how this place can be out of the way for some people but it works great for me. They have a good selection of beer there is something for everyone(if you like beer). The people that work here k ow there beer. I do wish they would bring in different beers more often just to try something new. There is sometime someone cooking food outside, the food smell amazing I’m sure it’s very good, unfortunately for him when I come here I’m here for one reason and it’s not to eat, maybe I will try some of his food.

Great place to go for some excellent, local craft beer when you’re all wined out. $ 12 for a 10 glass flight… and $ 5 for a full glass? What a deal!

This place was very nice. It was the atmosphere that won me over. The food was okay. $ 12 for a brisket sandwich, not bad, but I won’t crave this one. The beers were pretty good. Good variety. my fave was the hop n java. Very interesting, never had one before. It was as if an ipa slept with a coffee stout, and their spawn was the hop n java beer I had. Pretty good. reasonably priced taster flight. I got the whole lot for $ 12. If you’re I. the area, give it a shot!

Napa Smith Brewery is by far the best brewery in Napa. We love to stop in on our way into Napa for a good beer. In the past we have purchased growlers to take home and would fill them up every time we stopped in for a visit. Unfortunately the last few times we came in I haven’t been too impressed by any of their beer. I don’t know if their quality has gone down or what… The beers used to be rich and full of flavor but now I feel like they’ve become more mild. I still love their location and ambiance. They bartenders always seem to give quality fast service!

Napa Smith has a great selection of beers. Today they had a great selection of food to order.(Smelled great but just had lunch.) It was the busiest we have ever seen it and was a bit noisy. We had the organic IPA a friend tried the sampler. The Organic IPA is our favorite and tasted great. Another friend had the Hop Java on nitrogen which had an interesting taste. Always a nice stop when you need a Little break from wine tasting. They have a pinball game, darts and other games to play. Staff is always friendly when not so busy as today.

Before we headed back to Sacramento, on 6÷12÷2015, my parents, my sister, her bf, and I were heading to Napa Smith Brewery. Since the city of Napa is the home of wineries, there’s the only one place that has a homemade premium quality of craft beers. As we entered, the bar atmosphere is very laid back and quite. Much peaceful and friendly than some depressed bars across the U.S. There’s two dart boards plus a large sized Jenga too! The bartenders are much appreciated and approachable as they recommend the beer flight sample. The beer flight is a collection variety of homemade beers from light to dark. The Pale Ale and Cool Brew are my favorite beer choice. Very refreshing. To conclude this segment, Napa Smith Brewery is definitely the best beer bar in the city of Napa. Highly recommend this place!

Napa is a city, and county, that is all about wine. This is all well and good, but what if you want a beer, and a good place to drink it? Say hello to Napa Smith! Low key brewery with very friendly people and, oh yea, DAMM good beer. They have 6 — 8 craft beers on tap, room to throw darts, hang out with a group of fellow beer fans, or just sit and try some truly good beer. My personal favorite thus far is an Imperial Porter that was OUTSTANDING! If you are a home brewer, craft beer enthusiast, or need a good place to take a Coors Light drinker to educate them what beer REALLY is, this is your place.
