Went to Paraduxx totally by chance. Just driving by and decided to stop. So glad we did! As many wineries are becoming more and more snobby in Napa, this is not the case at Paraduxx. While tastings are by appointment only, we pulled up to the winery, called them(haha) and asked if it was ok to come in for a tasting. Joanna on the phone was super friendly and said to come on by! Which we did, in 30 seconds :) LOVED the tasting experience. The weather was perfect and we sat on one of the many couches in their«backyard», which is just gorgeous!!! View of the hills was so nice. My husband & I split a tasting, as always. The wines were great and I especially loved their Syrah. Ryan, who was bringing our wine and telling us the stories behind each wine and the history of the winery, was really nice and friendly, and knew a lot about the wines, which made our tasting experience wonderful! Highly recommend Paraduxx!

What a beautiful, modern location for wine tasting. I personally enjoyed the Rector Creek 2012. An absolutely wonderful and friendly team working there. It feels like they are inviting you into their home. Thank you to Jeffrey for the great wine tips. Oh and the holy cow cheese is legit.

Best cabs I’ve ever had: full bodied, smooth, and delicious! The best part of Paraduxx is their bottles are found in Chicago! Great vineyard for cabs and chill vibe.

I was genuinely impressed with Paraduxx. My family have always been a fan of duckhorn living across the street and had always discounted Paraduxx as the weird less than tasteful cousin. We visited Paraduxx because we wanted to buy a bottle of the canvasback red mountain Cabernet. At Paraduxx we were warmly greeted by John our wine educator. At most wineries you stand at the tasting bar and awkwardly make polite conversation with the person pouring. At Paraduxx the tasting is very relaxed similar to drinking in someone backyard furniture. John immediately came and sat down to talk with us and talk about the wine. For me half of a winery is in the wine and the other half in the wine experience. At Paraduxx you receive the complete package of very good cab and zin blends as well as a great ambience and friendly staff. My mom joined the club and I am sure we will be back again soon.

This was our last stop of the day and we were so glad as we left Napa with a big smile on our faces. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting experience here and were able to sit in their vast outdoor gardens.(As a side note their indoor tasting room is very spacious with plenty of tables. Feels like you are in a restaurant) Lots of space to roam outdoors and take in the sights. Their presentation with the varietals of wines complemented with the cheese & meat tray was absolutely perfect. Our wine specialist Barbara was so warm and personable and spent a great deal of time with us explaining the varietals. And she was so sweet to offer us a few others. We absolutely loved their reds which wasn’t a surprise since they are affiliated with Duckhorn and Decoy. We will always visit this winery when we are in Napa. Thank you Barbara for making this a wonderful experience!

We made reservations at Paraduxx for this trip based on our memories of our visit a few years ago when we sat on the patio and enjoyed the wines and view. Unfortunately, the hot weather this time kept us inside. Still, we had a table by the glass windows and still had the view. We bought the optional charcuterie pairing plate to go with the tasting. This trip matched the memories of the previous. The wines were excellent and ended up buying a case of wine.

Casual tasting with complimentary cheese pairing. $ 30 for tasting. We shared and it was enough. Very informative staff and suggested some great places to visit what let here in Napa!

Unique wines, great service, and a beautiful location to sip and enjoy. I had called in to make a reservation a few weeks ago, but when we arrived day of they could not find our reservation. Fortunately, they figured out a way to accommodate us despite it being part of a busy Labor Day weekend. Service was amazing: our server was appropriately attentive, was very knowledgeable about the wines(as well as super friendly and easy to talk to), and even gave us an extra sampling of wine to try(so 6 tastings for $ 30 apiece instead of the usual $ 5). This was also one of the few places which served(small) snacks(cheese and crackers), which definitely helped given this was our third stop of the day! Paraduxx specializes in blends, mostly reds. They are definitely unique and drink very smoothly, but do cost a pretty penny. That said, it was one of the few places we seriously considered purchasing a membership at, given how special their wines are. Location was of course lovely, and we were seated outside in shaded lawn chairs. Overall a great experience at a beautiful winery with very unique wines.

Nice winery. Has a nice area in the back with nice patio furniture that you can sit and enjoy the wine. The staff was very informative and gave us a lot of info. I loved their cheese plate with fruits. Highly recommend.

What a great find in Napa! We had this winery as our first stop driving from the city, and it was ‘just what the wine maker prescribed’ — a glass a day… Wait, was it an apple a day? Anyways, they have a great tasting, but also a very nice cheese platter — enough to give us some food and strength to continue the tastings. The service was very attentive and friendly. Each tasting try had cards describing the wines on the tray. I always feel intimidated and find it hard to remember everything when they bring the tasting, call out wines and leave… I am typically left guessing — what was that one — the third from the left??? So, cards came in very handy. However, this experience come at a $. Was over 80 for two tastings and a cheese platter, is that a bit too much?

I knew I was going to enjoy Paraduxx when I walked outside, and they were playing Kaskade on the outdoor speakers. This place is hip and is very accommodating to a younger crowd. I would highly recommend this winery while you’re in Napa. My wife and I enjoyed a flight of wines along with a cheese plate. Make sure to grab a few grapes off the vine and enjoy them with your cheeses. We were never pressured to join any wine club or make any purchases while we were there. The staff was friendly and not pretentious whatsoever. They didn’t try to bog us down with a lot of technical jargon and make us feel like novices. I believe that our main server’s name was Josh, but we were waited on by several different individuals. Overall this place is a real class act.

Your best wine please… and put it on my bill!(Insert drum here) This was part of the the delightfully punny moments we encountered at Paraduxx. Stopped on a whim in between appointments and I wasn’t disappointed. The staff is really great and extremely accommodating. Our server was funny and made us feel extremely welcome.(I’ve never seen someone so excited when he found out where I used to work). The tastings were generous and tasty(you know it’s a good place when I’ll buy a bottle)!
I would definitely come back and bring friends

We absolutely love this winery it is one of the best in the St. Helena area. We are wine club members and the tastings are always very generous and they are always very attentive to all of our needs when we show up and refer to my wife by her first name(not that she is a wino) LOL, the property is beautiful and the accommodations are first class and the wines are excellent they have a great Rose but are known for the red blends I would highly recommend making this a stop if you’re in the area, they are part of the Duckhorn group, and if you need a great place for a business get together or intimate party they can accommodate you for that as well.

We happened to stumble upon Paraduxx the weekend that we were in Napa. We were sitting at another winery, trying to figure out our next stop, when we realized that we all liked Decoy wines but didn’t remember seeing if they had a winery nearby or not. A quick visit to their website and a call to their office got us hooked up with a tasting at Paraduxx, which is known for its red blends primarily of the cabernet sauvignon and zinfandel varietals. Paraduxx was my favorite tasting-only stop. They welcomed us with a glass of white wine to start and we sipped on it as they walked us to their outdoor tasting area, which had several separate seating areas, great for groups or couples. It helped that it was a gorgeous day. Our sommlier(is that the right term?), Johnny Bond, was great… he kept up with our high fives and made great conversation in addition to doing a fantastic job explaining the differences between the various blends we tried. My favorites were the Z blend and Rector Creek red blend. When we told Johnny what we liked, he also brought out one of the Goldeneye Pinot Noirs, which was by far our favorite! Unfortunately, I can’t remember which one it was, but it was so incredibly drinkable. One of us ended up joining the wine club(and I totally would have if I had more disposable income). I can’t wait to share a few of those bottles… regardless, I will be coming back to Paraduxx on my next visit to Napa, and will be sure to buy many Decoy family wines between now and then.

Paraduxx Winery wasn’t on our original list of wineries to visit while we were in Napa Valley but I’m so glad that we stopped. We didn’t make a reservation but they didn’t give us any grief and just told us that the outside tastings were booked with appointments but we were welcome to grab a table inside and they’d help us. I cannot remember our host but he was a young guy with dark hair and he was FANTASTIC. We shared a tasting since we had a full day of tastings ahead of us but the pours here are quite generous. We tried a Z-blend, C-blend, Howell Mountain and Rector Creek wines. All were good depending on what your palate was looking for. We didn’t do the premium tasting but the basic still comes with cheese and crackers. All in all, I really liked this place. The people were friendly and we enjoyed our mellow yet very talkative tasting with our host. We’d return.

One of my all-time favorites in Napa Valley. Just writing this review makes me long to be back there. I’ve been here several times, but my most recent trip in March was my favorite experience so far. We did the«Enhanced» tasting, which is a fantastic value as far as tasting experiences go. We sat outside, under the big trees in the comfy outdoor seating area. We had a wonderful host, who gave us lots of info, as well as plenty of time to visit. Needless to say, the wines are fabulous. I think we did rosè, Z blend, M Blend, and the Howell Mountain, as well as one other I failed to write down. We also added the charcuterie plate, which was the perfect little snack to help keep us from feeling the effects of the wine too much. They added a bonus taste. Definitely call ahead so they get you the best spot they can. I’m looking forward to coming back soon and doing the«Elevated tasting» and getting a more behind-the-scenes glimpse.

One of the bit more expensive tasting flights on our biking adventure around Napa, but with good reason — I can safely say that I enjoyed their wine as a whole the most. In this case, you’re paying for quality, I suppose. They took our large group without a reservation, which was great! We were seated at a table outside. Our server gave detailed descriptions of each wine and really seemed to know his stuff. I particularly liked the little cards that came with each wine — they were a nice touch and good souvenir. We started off with the 2013 rosé. The flight itself consisted of the 2011 Z blend, C blend, Rector Creek, and Howell Mountain, all on one tray, which allowed for easy comparison. We were also able to try some of the 2012 Goldeneye Pinot Gris since a bottle was just opened. My favorites were probably the rosé and Pinot. The C blend was very very light and the taste almost instantaneously disappeared from your mouth, which could be good or bad depending on how you like your wine. Howell Mountain was an extremely smooth and easy to drink red wine. For the most part, though, all of Paraduxx’s wines went down smoothly, some with more lingering taste and rich flavor than others(i.e. Z blend, Rector Creek). I liked this aspect a lot. Later that day, we drove back in order to pick up the 4-pack of wine that we bought earlier, but didn’t realize that they closed at 4pm… however, we called the number on the sign and thankfully someone picked up! He opened the gate for us and brought our wine out. Awesome! Bonus points for Paraduxx. Looking forward to partaking in the rosé that we purchased!

Reserve tasting for $ 30. Went here for wine tasting to kick back, relax and enjoy the Napa scenery at this vineyard! The reserve tasting consisted of the 2012 Paradox V, M, Z, C blend and 2010 Rector Creek. It started from the light red wine tasting to the stronger red wine tasting. The wine server, gave us a brief overview of the history of the vineyard and the specialty that the wine provides in taste. They provide tidbits of cheese and crackers with the flight of wine. It was a pleasant outing and the outdoor patio, provided a great view of the vineyard itself. They added the Winemaker Series 2010 as a plus and we finished the flight, marvelously. I enjoyed it here! You won’t be disappointed!
