Simply The Best Cleaning

We don’t like to give bad reviews, but feel perhaps our experience with Leilani will help others avoid a bad situation.
We met Leilani at our home before she came to clean our home. She told us the rate would be $ 30/​hour and that she would complete the job with someone else in 4 hours. I asked her to repeat her rate so my husband could hear, «$ 30/​hour». She spent a lot of time talking about all of her well to do clients, and how hard it was to find trustworthy help, and how hard it was to own and operate your own business. We ourselves own and operate two businesses so we nodded and agreed.
She came to clean on my birthday for the first time. She was 45 minutes late. My husband stayed home from the office to let her in and to keep our dog out of our way while I was at work. After 4 hours, she came out to tell him that she couldn’t finish cleaning our home in the allotted time and had to leave. She said she’d be back tomorrow to finish the job. And that the cost was $ 60/​hour. Or, $ 240 for the 4 hours. My husband paid her, because he didn’t want to make a fuss, and it was my birthday. What she had failed to mention was that it was $ 30/​hour *PER PERSON*.
I got home and noticed she did an admirable job in the rooms she cleaned, leaving stickers on the toilet paper rolls and chocolates on the sides of the beds. Very cute, but then I noticed that our daughters’ lamp was broken.
The next day I got a text saying that she was unable to come and clean the rest of our house. Could she come two days from then. Keep in mind, I would have to pay an additional $ 60/​hour for the job she couldn’t complete the first time. I mentioned very politely in a text that the expensive lamp was broken and that we were under the impression the pricing was different. I wouldn’t be writing a negative review at all if I hadn’t received the most unprofessional series of texts I’ve ever gotten. In fact, it was the most unprofessional conduct I’ve been treated to ever. In all caps, she told me that it was my fault for not understanding the pricing, that she did not break our lamp (no apology or any kind of explanation, even though it had been working perfectly that morning), and that we were the unprofessional ones who didn’t understand how difficult it was to pay someone to do a good job, «and how many rich clients she has who appreciate her and understand».
I’m all for paying someone to do a good job, but she didn’t even finish cleaning my house! Chocolates and stickers are nice, but that wasn’t what I was paying her to do. I could not bring myself to her level with a reply.
We found a lovely woman and her friend by referral on the Napa Mom’s Club who for $ 30/​hour (for the both of them) does an AMAZING job, and they always finish cleaning our house, including laundry of our sheets, in under 3 hours. You can do a lot better than Leilani, and without the tardiness, attitude, and unprofessional demeanor.

I highly recommend Simply the Best Cleaning Service — Leilani and her team has been cleaning my home for nearly one year now and I am so happy with the service and how fresh and wonderful my home looks when they are done. She has a system that includes everything — even the things I wouldn’t think about cleaning! ! And she was kind enough to teach me how to work my carpet shampooer when I bought one and gave me tips on what to look for so I got the best possible results.
I am flabbergasted by the couple of reviewers whose only complaint is that she arrived later than «scheduled». I think they missed the point — She stays until your home is clean to her high standards and that may take longer sometimes. Isn’t that preferable to a service that only gives you a particular amount of time with no consideration of how thoroughly it’s done? Duh!
I have used other cleaning services and they give you a «window» of time they’ll be there… as do movers, contractors, and just about any workers that come to your home.
The truth is that we are the lucky ones to have her! It is not the other way around!

Leilani has been cleaning my house every week for a while and she has consistently delivered impeccable results. She pays attention to every detail. The corners of the mirror, the baseboards, the little places under the rug where most people forget– she cleans them all! I have been through a few housekeepers who started strong and then got lazy as the weeks went on, but not Simply The Best Cleaning. Leilani cleans my house and still manages to impress me after many months of service. I look forward to my cleaning not just because she does an amazing job but also because I love her personality. She is always happy and positive and cleans with a genuine smile. I have 3 kids and a very big dog that sheds like crazy and no matter what state my house is in, she walks in with a smile and makes my house so clean that the whole family loves it when she’s here. Also, about the comment on her timeliness, she never leaves a job until its clean-​sometimes a house takes longer, sometimes not as long but she never leaves because she has to rush to the next job. I appreciate that and can understand that it’s a time slot, not a dr appointment, so I expect her around the same time but if she’s a little late it doesn’t bother me because I understand and want the same attention paid to my own house. She’s great and I trust her with my most precious things. One more thing, since I have small children I so appreciate that she always uses all natural cleanser and always is very sweet with them. My kids love her and we can’t live without her! I recommend her to anyone, just not Friday mornings because Leilani is all mine!!! Seriously, she’s amazing.

Leilani is a truly gift for people like me! I’m about ready to give birth to my 4^th child (the oldest being 5 ½ years old) and my house has seen better days. Over the last 4 years the clutter, debris, dust, and disorganization had become overwhelming for me. She flew in for a weekend organizing extravaganza. Her energy, vision, and efficiency enabled her to move room by room offering deep cleaning and much needed organization. We plan to have her down again after the baby is born when we can do a phase #2 of her masterful work. Side note, her fashion expertise and sense of interior design are clearly seen and felt in her organization!

Leilani is simply the BEST! Simply the Best Cleaning has been professionally cleaning our house weekly since Oct 2011.

Oh my gosh, Simply the Best Cleaning is highly recommended! Lelani is very thorough, and she genuinely cares about the cleanliness of a home. Pricing is definitely fair for all the terrific work put into each room. We tried different cleaning services, but there was always this concern about someone being in the house while we’re at work. Lelani’s warm «aloha» spirit really shines through, and she has proven herself to be a trustworthy professional every time. It’s absolutely a time-​saver to call Simply the Best Cleaning first.
