The comments about the poor service and good sandwiches are correct. I stopped by mid morning to pick up a sandwich. I was the ONLY one in the entire place. After placing my order with the young man, I looked around the store for a beverage. When I came back to the sandwich counter, the young man who was making my sandwich, asked if he could help me. I told him he already was – he was making my sandwich. After a couple more minutes, he turned around, and asked me AGAIN, if he could help me. Really dude? Is your short term memory THAT bad? Finally, I got my sandwich(on some what stale sour dough bread– but good just the same) (Maybe I shouldn’t have changed out of my Superman, Ant Man, Captain America costumes, every time his back was turned).

Just came in here with my husband and sister-in-law from out-of-state to grab some sandwiches. To our dismay, we waited for a long time, watching other customers who ordered after us receive and finish eating their sandwiches. When I inquired about our sandwiches, the response from the young woman at the counter(wearing a red shirt) was short. Basically, she could care less. No apology, no effort to show any empathy. It was more of a, «What’s your problem?» kind of look. Later, after more waiting, I went up to the counter again. She pointed to the young guy slowly making our sandwiches. «He’s in training.» Then she turned back to me and said, «If I were making it, I’d be faster.» But no effort to help him in any way. Finally, another young gal(in a black shirt) came to help slice the sandwiches. She was actually very sweet and had helped me earlier with questions about the bathroom. I’d given this place zero star had it not been this helpful woman. Will not be back.

We stopped early yesterday morning for sandwiches to take on our hike at Moore Creek Park. We were pleasantly surprised in the short time it took to make two delicious sandwiches with a side of potato salad. The #4(Portobello mushrooms & roasted red peppers with provolone) was delicious. My wife really enjoyed her sandwich as well, the breads were really fresh & tasty & the price was very reasonable. We ate half at Moore Creek Park & the other half at Lake Solano later in the afternoon. Keep up the good work!

This place is great! I stopped here for lunch while visiting some wineries in Napa and I loved my sandwich here. It’s a small sandwich shop/convenient store and they have a variety of different sandwiches and salads as well as the ability to make your own. I got a turkey sandwich with a side of fresh fruit and it was absolutely delicious. It was also very affordable(especially for California) and large bottles of water were very cheap as well, which is key when you’re hopping from winery to winery. I definitely recommend this place for a good lunch!

What a nice place to stop over between wine tastings at local wineries. You can get bread cheese wine. Take it to the front patio and enjoy the olive trees. Girls at deli counter and cashier will take car of you –perhaps a bit nonchalantly.

I ordered four box lunches for pick-up the following day(not within the 24 hour cut-off) and Bonnie was more than accommodating. We had no trouble parking and our food was ready at 12:30 as requested. These box lunches seem expensive but really, it is enough for TWO meals so it isn’t expensive at all. We didn’t finish our salads so we took those back to the hotel to enjoy later. The store is nice. There is a large drink and snack selection. The ladies at the sandwich counter and also the cashier were very friendly. It rained off and on that day so I was glad to see indoor seating. I will definitely order from Soda Canyon Store again and also pass along their information to friends and family!

As a local and native of Napa Valley, I am appalled that anyone would give this place anything other than 1 star. First and foremost the health department needs to pay this store a visit. The employees constantly touch their face and blow their nose and then prepare your food! I have personally experienced someone coughing into their hand and she wasn’t going to change her gloves until I asked her to before she made my sandwich. She proceeded to give me a dirty look, like I was crazy for asking her to change her gloves before she touched my food. I did not eat my sandwich and felt bad that I actually paid for it. My other observation is the customer service; the phone is constantly either off the hook or someone is placed on hold and forgotten about and so others can’t ring through to place an order. I find it disappointing that they are representing a local business that is clearly not operated in a family owned business fashion-it appears to be more of a free for all than anything. I do not post reviews unless I feel it is warranted, good or bad. I hope the owners can step it up and offer better service and improve their food handlers with a mind for health and safety for the good of their customers.

Quick spot to stop by and grab a latte for the road or a sandwich for lunch. I usually call ahead and order because the wait time can get a bit long. They also serve breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches.

I had a great experience here! Wasn’t happy about my $ 7.25 turkey sandwich until I ate it and it was amazing! Just so fresh and delicious! Worth every penny and really cute atmosphere… staff is young but we’re friendly and worked quickly. Next time I’m in the area I’ll be back for another yummy sandwich!

I stopped here while on a winery tour. The service was a little haphazard, but the turkey sandwich I ordered was outstanding.

Got lunch boxes delivered to Freeman for lunch during our trip to Napa. Loved the sandwiches, side salads, fruit and cookie! The bread was good, flavors good, huge portions; however, they did forget to deliver one of our sandwiches. The good thing is the sandwiches are so big, we were able to split them! Got THEBESTSANDWICH and loved the fig spread with the turkey!

Wow. I was not able to buy salami from them because they have a huge maybe 5 lb salami on display and wouldn’t cut it for me. Extremely miserable staff. Don’t bother.

As cute as this place is I will NEVER set foot in here again! I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere. We stopped at this cute little store for a quick lunch. The atmosphere is nice and the outdoor picnic tables out back are by far one of the cutest spots to eat. There are a few picnic tables shaded by some low trees on a small grassy area. A great place to eat our lunch and let the baby run in the grass. The sandwiches we ordered were fine, not mouthwatering good and definitely not worth $ 9.25, and the sides went uneaten. I don’t care for cool whip and both the coleslaw and potato salad were swimming in it. They were out of several kinds of breads and the rolls our sandwiches came on we’re so dry I couldn’t even tear a piece off to save my life. They also took incredibly long to slap a few pieces of meat and cheese and a slice of tomato on a roll, 30 minutes longer than I anticipated. But the SERVICE! Oh my god. I have never felt more awkward and less likely to return to a place before. The young man that took our order FAKED not being able to speak English just to watch us struggle to convey our order. For 15 minutes! We stood there while he blabbered on in Spanish clearly not understanding him and trying desperately to scrape together a couple of words in Spanish and ended up resorting to pointing. It was humiliating and I felt bad that it was so hard for him to understand us and us to understand him. That is UNTIL he made us feel stupid by finishing off the whole conversation in PERFECT English telling us to «please take this ticket up to the cashier at the front and she will ring you up.» and laughed loudly at our confusion as we walked away. He then spoke English to the customers in line behind us with no problem, all the while giggling with the other sandwich makers. What he heck?! I don’t know if this is some ploy to deter tourists(which we are not!) or just something he thinks is funny but I intend to tell everyone I know about how horrid this experience was. I will gladly encourage them to take their business elsewhere. I feel disgusted! It really got to me. I hope the owners take action because this little«joke» will cost them business. Its ridiculous that such behavior is allowed to go on.

A solid stop if you need a «drinking base» while visiting wineries or a quick lunch, but there’s nothing over-the-top about this place. This deli has a counter near the back of the store stocked with Dietz & Watson lunch meats and an array of homemade salads: macaroni, potato, egg, cole slaw. They have a variety of sandwiches and breads to choose from, but no gluten free options for sandwiches. I ordered a garden salad with balsamic dressing. It was a salad; the veggies were fresh, the meat and cheese was deli sliced, and the dressing was a mixture of oil and vinegar. I recommend salads when they’re not rotten, and they hit the target during our visit! The service was slow, and they didn’t appear to have a system to keep track of who was next to be served at the counter. Fortunately, there was a lot of honest people at the deli with us that kept a respectable order to things, averting chaos and the need for California to declare martial law in the store. This deli is good for what it is, a solid lunchtime stop. They met my expectations and nothing more.

Great place to stop by for a quick lunch while touring Napa — I got the BLT and it was quite delicious. Definitely a good way to get something salty and filling in your stomach before you continue with your long day of tastings. Life is so hard, right? ;)

The ONLY place I go to eat lunch in the valley! «The Best» sandwich is the only sandwich I have been getting for the past 5 years when I’m there on business. It consists of turkey, a fig and olive spread, Gorgonzola cheese and lettuce on a fantastic sourdough roll. MUST try when you are out in the valley on a round of tasting! Definitely a hidden gem for locals, and I know that their other sandwiches are phenomenal as well. Customer service is always extremely friendly!

I have stopped here several times for a quick breakfast burrito and coffee drink. They have burritos ready to go or they will make them to order. The service is quick and the food is fresh. The picnic area in back is nestled amongst some trees which helps to drown out the vehicle noise from the Silverado Trail.
