Mary hosted our tasting. It was fantastic. The story is so incredible and all the wines were delicious. Will absolutely tell friends about the wines and will be back.

We paid $ 65 per person for a 90 minute tour. The estate and history was very interesting to hear as we walked about the pros tasting different wines. The porch is beautiful overlooking the vineyard. We tasted a variety of wines ranging in price. We purchased the 12 falls and necad malis to take back to the east coast. I enjoyed my time here, but I wish we got something a little more for our buck. Maybe some light food pairings or possibly have been able to or been informed to bring food on the estate property as you do not want to leave its so beautiful! If you join their wine club you are able to come and play games, hang out in the garden, and bring lunch.

This winery is a complete FRAUD. They sign you up for a membership in their online store and then without notice they are charging your credit card without your authorization. The wine club is under the pretenses of special promotions, not almost $ 200.00 charges on your credit card. NEVER do you authorize them to charge your credit card or agree to ANY terms outlining such. You email them several times and they only reply with«You signed up for the wine club on 12/20/2015.» For a vineyard with wine that is not cheap, this scam and customers service is appalling. Although their product is good, the fraud they are committing puts a very sour taste in my mouth. At least American Express can straighten it out as Stags’ Leap customer service is completely useless. BUYERBEWARE…

A friend visited here and purchased their Malbec. When they got home, the box was filled with the wrong wine. I was coming to Napa so she asked me to pick up the correct wine after arrangements were made. I unsuccessfully called over and over again to set up a time(horrible phone system or they don’t know how to use it). I emailed and received no response. I decided to just show up and surprisingly they had it ready for me. I should have checked what they packed. Yep, once again, the wrong wine was packed. As long as other wineries exist that are much more invested in their customer, these big productions just aren’t worth it.

Granted we were not aware that there are 2 Stags’ Leap Wineries. this one and Stags Leap Cellars. Google maps is misleading, and hopefully can be fixed soon as others were lost as well. But we are open to all wineries. We drove many windy roads to get here and no one approached us as we tried to make our way through their construction to see where the tasting room was. Finally, we approached a man in a tent who had just finished doing a tasting and he was very rude to us. He said obviously you are looking for the other Stags Leap because«WE» only take appointments. I do understand some of the wineries don’t take walkin-ins; however, no one was there and a ton of wine in front of us. Only being two of us we asked if we could please pay for a tasting and he refused, and was very rude about it. So please when you are trying to go to Stags Leap make sure you go to the right one. They are within a mile from one another. Refer to my review for Stags Leap Cellars, which turned out to be one of our best experiences!

This winery is NOT to be confused with Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. We unfortunately made that mistake and did not realize until we arrived at the winery. The man who greeted us was not friendly. To add insult to injury, the tasting is expensive at $ 55 per person. We tried to get a refund for the full amount as we did not intend on making the reservation there(rather, we wanted to check out Stag’s Leap and their amazing wines!), however the winery did not want to refund us anything for our mistake. Don’t get yourselves confused! Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars is where you want to be!

I did a tour of a winery once. And while learning about the wine-making process was interesting and all, I really just wanted to get to the end(when we got to taste the wine). That was six years ago, and I haven’t done another tour since. BUT the tour of this winery is different! You get to sip substantial pours of good wine during the tour! And it’s a beautiful property, so you’d much rather be unchained from a tasting counter anyway. More importantly, the tour involves fun facts about Stags’ Leap’s history, so it’s not like you’re listening to a 90min lecture on bottling. Truly enjoyable. Don’t hesitate to put this tour on your agenda!

We did the morning tour. The grounds were beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgable, I really enjoyed the history behind the winery. I was a little bummed that the Manor House wasn’t open since it’s under construction and won’t open til Janurary 2016. The wine was great but the pours during the tour were very small compared to the tastings we did at next two wineries we visited that day. I don’t think I’ll be back at Stags’ Leap Winery again.

This winery has a genius marketing plan: the air of exclusivity around it(they only do two 90 min tastings per day for around $ 50) makes you assume it’s the better of the two Stag’s Leap wineries. We had tasted an amazing bottle of the Artemis and assumed this was the correct winery(even the Unilocal reviews led us astray). Unfortunately this is not that winery. That one had an apostrophe before the S. Doh. $ 100 and 90 minutes of our time later(in the sweltering sun) we realized our mistake… and drove to the right winery 30 minutes before it closed.

Splurged on tour and ended up joining the wine club. Loved the estate and grounds, and most of all, the history of the place. Could see myself spending a relaxing afternoon here with friends, eating great food and drinking delicious wine. I usually stay away from chardonnay but their offerings are not as «oakey» and are end up quite refreshing on the palate. Also would recommend Cade and Scribe vineyards.

While not cheap, the tasting tour is informative and a nice way to spend some time. The pours were generous, the wine was good, and the tour ends inside with crackers and plenty of water.

We stopped by to try some wine. Mostly because we drank their delicious wine at a restaurant a few days before, so we wanted to see what else they did. When we arrived, we looked for the tasting room. Surprise! They don’t have one. Instead you have to book a 90-minute tour of the vineyard and try wines all for the bargain price of $ 55. They only did two tours a day. Unfortunately, when I’m Napa, I don’t want to go on a 90-minute tour. I want to try some delicious wines and move on to the next winery. Especially when I’m driving. So now I have to pay $ 55 to go on a tour of the winery and not drink the wine? I don’t think so. It’s unfortunate, because I’m sure they have great wine. I just don’t like being forced into wasting my time on a tour I don’t want. Just let me try your wine. I might actually buy some if you did.

Excellent pairing of delicious wine and customer service administered by Mary. This place is a little challenging to find without the address, so use your GPS. Located on a wonderful property, you will enjoy your visit.

I decided to come here on Easter as they were about to close, Mary decided to let us in and gave us an amazing tour of the estate. This has been the best tour I’ve taken in Napa and Mary was amazing at describing all the details and presenting all the wine. We were very pleased. Great winery to visit(ask for Mary).

To start — this winery is not for eveyone. Which is exactly why we so enjoyed our recent visit. No crowds of bacherlorettes or busses. Just small groups of people looking to taste some high end wines. First of all it is pretty pricey — $ 55 per person but when you consider that during your 90 minute visit/tour/tasting you are going to savor 8 or more fabulous high end wines in cluding their viognier, rose, malbeck, cab, petite syrah, merlot and more it is not such a bad deal. And the pours were pretty generous with plenty of wine for all and since we started at 10 a.m. it put us in a good mood for the rest of the day. The tour itself is very memorable. You will be show the beautiful historic house and hear all about its interesting history dating from the 1800s. Your will walk and taste wine as your tour then settle in at the end for a more complete tasting. Our tour guide, Bonnie, was a fountain of information and historical stories. It was the perfect way for us to start our visit to Napa.

Hadn’t been here in years — lovely setting and friendly knowledgeable staff. We arrived right at closing time but were graciously welcomed into the tasting room for a tasting. Turns out we were given the tasting comp –not sure why, end of the day«treat» perhaps. Their wines are lovely though a tad pricey for my budget. But if you are a lover of fine cabs, definitely stop here!

The people here are funny and kind. They really made the experience enjoyable. Oh, and there is a big difference between the Estate wine list and the other cheaper one. Wonderful wines.

I went here with my family for my mom’s bday. We booked the 2:30 tour, which at $ 55/person was a little pricey, so I was a bit concerned by the other Unilocal reviews and by all of the emphasis about how Stags’ Leap Winery is not Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. However, I loved this winery and had a great time. The tour focuses mostly on the history of the beautiful old estate which was built in the 1880’s. Bonnie, our guide, told us about how the estate has been a private family home, a luxury resort reached by carriage, a speakeasy, a post office, and currently a winery with an artist in residency program. The grounds were beautiful, and it was fun to hear all of this history while walking around and sipping delicious wines. The tour finished inside with crackers, water, and more wine tasting, and honestly most of our group didn’t really want to leave. I definitely considered joining their wine club just so that I could come back and picnic and play bocce, unfortunately there wine club is out of my price range.

You need advance reservations for wine tasting and tour. We had none yet Bonnie he Hospitality Specialist welcomed us in and made our 12 year anniversary that much special! This winery is full of great history.

Decent wine, fun staff, and great vineyards and history. Not too far off the beaten path, and definitely worth a visit. That’s all I can really remember from my tasting — so yes… I guess it was a good trip!
