Best place for beads in town. They have rare, vintage and ethnic beads. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. We love to go in to see all the beautiful beads.

Smart, involved owners, doing the job they love. The artifacts on their walls is a mini museum, that I could imagine in my home. Their prices are great, and their selection of beads is also pretty cool. I was inspired to get all kinds of good stuff, but I had to limit my purchases to something that I’d wear. If not, then I’d have bought beads for a full body necklace with animals, feathers, vegetables, and all kinds of rocks to rope them all around. Man, this place was great for letting your imagination run free.

I visited The Beaded Nomad last year on a vacation trip to Napa Valley. As a professional Bead Artist, I react immediately when I find a bead resource where there are truly unique materials of quality. At this store, not only was my first and foremost criteria met, but I worked the first day with Peggy, the owner of the shop and then the second day with another woman whose name currently escapes me. Both were incredibly helpful and knowledgable about what was in their store and were also really fun and kind too. I especially love the trade beads I bought there as well as the Italian Sterling and Enamel beads, but even the Czech glass beads I brought back to my studio were something that after a whole year visiting bead stores and trade shows, have not seen again. The prices are a little higher than I’m used to paying but still completely within reason. And I completely understand that they are located in a very high rent district. If you live in or are visiting Napa and want a great place to create unique jewelry, I cannot recommend The Beaded Nomad enough. Even if you are a professional beader and cost is a very important component in purchases, I strongly urge you to stop by. You will likely find things there that will blow your socks off.

Peggy and her husband Craig are wonderful! They always help with what ever project I am working on and their selection is awesome! I rarely leave without something new from their store! I love their selection and their semi precious stones in their glass case are AMAZING!!! Always ask questions as they are very knowledgable and if they don’t know they will look it up in their gem book. I love this place!

This place is great! The owner hand picks everything from multiple sources. People India come in and sell their pieces. A guy from Afghanistan sold some handmade brass pieces. I made this really great brass skull necklace/bracelet with bone beads and brass disks. (Photos included) You cant find the things made here anywhere online. I had initially came in to look at rocks, but ended up spending 73 $. Don’t regret it.

Wow! Found a gift certificate I’d received when they were still in Napa. I sheepishly came in and asked if I could redeem it. The(I believe owner) woman at the desk laughed and said that of course she could and that anyone who could find an over five-year-old gift certificate deserves to use it! Giggle! Of course I’m endeared to them now and left with a gorgeous ring and loads of beads. And, the bead selection is VARIED and AWESOME!

This is truly one of the many little gems of Napa. Always has a beautiful selection of mysterious and fascinating beads and other objects of unknown origin. Peggy was incredibly helpful also. Apparently they have classes that they offer as well, which I would very much like to attend.

WEMISSYOU in Petaluma. Folks, this is the best bead store I have ever seen in the USA. The people are extremely knowledgeable and they haven’t been stringing beads for just a couple years. They really know their materials and they know what they have in stock. Just ask Peggy and she shows it to you. I guess I have t make a list of materials and then I get to take a trip Napa. Traveling like a Beaded NOMAD. Jade of Divine Design

I love this bead store. I was a patron of their Napa store, and saddened when they closed. Recently I learned that they had moved to Petaluma long ago, and set about to visit. The selection is nice — good variety of beads in nice colors and materials. Most important, they have an awesome selection of focal beads, pendants, tribal, and gemstone items. This is what I’m here for. Sure you can get cheap seed beads online, but it’s hard to find a truly stunning focal piece based on a photo. At Beaded Nomad, I can bring my own beads and spend hours finding the perfect match. The shop’s prices are reasonable, and the staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop!

I agree with the first review. I recently found this place and created a wonderful necklace for a good friend who is having health problems The staff members there helped me pick out some stones with metaphysical properties that could help my friend.

I love this place. I repeat, LOVE this place. Best jewelry and art collections around. Do you need an 18th century Afghan ring, don’t worry they have it. Want a leather African pregnancy mask? They have that too. And just in case you need an antique ear cleaner, they carry a few at all times. LOVE it. While the main part of their inventory is bead stock, the jewelry they carry is unmatched. Their good pieces are pricey, but one of a kind and usually antique. They have quite a bit of silver, massed produced, but they tend to buy the best variety I have seen. I have to skip coming here every other trip because I tend to leave with BEAUTIFUL pieces and nothing left in my wallet. Oh Nomads, how you break me.
