The Paw Spa – Napa’s House Call Groomer

My 13 year old Shih Tzu Gordo has been «banned» from many grooming salons for being aggressive. We reached out and thankfully they accepted our offer to groom him. He looks amazing. I think the biggest benefit is being able to have your dog stay in your home while groomed and you can help them through process to understand your dog. I highly recommend The Paw Spa. They were absolutely wonderful!

My dog gets extremely stressed being taken to a groomer. The Paw Spa’s in-​home service is terrific. We have only used them once so far, but based on that experience, we will continue to. Nicole spent a lot of time the first visit getting to know our pup. She is very efficient, my dog liked her immediately and the grooming was stress free. She did an excellent job and really listened to us.

Like everyone else said, Nicol is great! She doesn’t have a fancy van, but that’s even better because she’ll make sure your pet and you are comfortable with everything. She does a great job with cuts. You can see some of her stuff on Facebook. She let’s you wacth so you can be sure it’s cut to the length you want. Highly recommend her.

If you are looking for a great groomer in Napa Valley look no further! Nicol is absolutely the best! She has been grooming my cockapoo for the last few months since I moved to the area. She bathes and grooms your dog right in your home which is extremely convenient! Even if she didn’t come to my house I know that Nicol would take care of my dog as if he was her own! She is such a sweet person and dogs absolutely love her! My dog is five and has had many haircuts but Nicol had given him the best cuts he has ever had! Every time he leaves her he is happy and has a great new cut!

Nicol is wonderful! My dogs love her and they look (and smell) amazing when she is done. And she communicates efficiently so no waiting around for 1 – 2 days for a return phone call.

Nicol is absolutely great with all my pooches! She’s caring and patient and she takes great care of them. she’s very knowledgeable and will usually help me pick the best options for my dogs. I bring 3 furry little pests in everytime I go there, with one of them being blind and she is always aware of their needs!

I would highly recommend the paw spa. Nicole was really nice, gentle and had a lot of patience with my two baby bichions. It’s also covenience if you are really buzy at the house and unable to take your dog to the grooming. I’m so lucky to have found a groomer for my doggies for the first time. Nicol and her husband are an exceptional team! My fur baby, Mugen, has always come back happy. Also of great importance, he comes back smelling great and looks more and more handsome with each visit. Whatever shampoo they use is ridiculously good because the clean smell lasts for at least a week! I also love the nail trims they do because the nails are never sharp and my pup no longer sounds like he’s trying to tap dance on the tile floors.
They take great care of their clients. On one of our visits, Nicol found out that Mugen doesn’t like to have his face blow dried after a bath (I had no idea that he didn’t) so she starting drying him with a towel. I really really appreciate attention to details like that!

Nicol did such a great job with my Chewie! She was able to get all his matting out so I can leave him long and fluffy for the winter She also cleaned up around his eyes and got rid of all the tear stains… She even dropped him off at work for me when she finished him up! I had been gone for a few months due to work and left my Maltese-​Yorkie with family friends. When I got back her fur was completely matted and she was a little ball of mess. I felt so terrible because I couldn’t imagine how uncomfortable she was. I called The Paw Spa and got an appointment right away. She took her time taking care of my baby and safely removing all of her mattes. When I got my puppy back she was a completely different, happy dog. I absolutely recommend The Paw Spa!

Nicole really took care of my pups. I took them only once before to Petco and they did not take enough off. I didn’t realize how cute their faces were underneath all that hair. When I picked them up they were transformed. Thanks again Nicole!

Nicol just groomed my Margaux who is a standard poodle. Her location is convenient. Nicol was very welcoming, and caring with my girl. She is very knowledgeable about grooming poodles, and did an excellent job! Will definitely use her again.

Had my dogs nails trimmed and got some great advice on how help my dogs shedding problem.

On the evening of 4^th of July, my boyfriend and I found a dog running on a highway in Vallejo frantic and nearly being hit by cars. 30 minutes later we caught him and brought him home. He was severely matted and dirty. Not sure if he is a stray or someone’s pet but he needed care. After taking him to the Humane Society of the North Bay to be scanned for a microchip (no success) we decided to foster him until we either find an owner or he is put up for adoption but first he needed to be groomed! We didn’t want him to have to be covered in a matted coat for one more day. We found Nicol’s Dog Grooming on Unilocal and she was the only groomer who could take this pup in on a Sunday. Not only did she accommodate him on a Sunday afternoon, she accepted the challenge whole heartedly of removing his mattes, bathing him and making him look like a whole other dog! And it took hours. He is beautiful now and turns out he may be a purebred mini poodle. Nicol was incredibly sweet, compassionate and professional. Her husband and kids happen to be at her location and were so nice as well. This was a group effort of us AND Nicol to rescue this dog and make him comfortable. We highly recommend Nicol and thank her so much!

We have a large dog with hip problems. Nicol was kind and caring, sensitive to his needs. She did a wonderful job and he looks very handsome now. She went above and beyond as his hair and skin needed special attention. She gave us some good suggestions on food choices based on his age. She also gave us some websites to check that were helpful. Her love for animals came through and we will be using her skills in the future.
