5 stars for having it so conveniently placed in Napa, easy to get in and out of. –1 star for all the beeeees. The guys were super helpful. Word to the wise, crush all your cans and bottles beforehand to get the optimal amount. Keep them separate also so you can just dump them in the bins. I feel like I saved up for so long just to get $ 13… so save up as much as you can before heading over.

**DISCLAIMER: THISREVIEWISBASEDONTHESELF-SERVICERECYCLINGMACHINE** Tomra Recycling Center can be easily missed, so you have to be on the look out by constantly reading signs. As soon as I found the location, I noticed cars were parked behind each other in a straight line while people unloaded their bags of recyclables to have them weighed. I, on the other hand, tried the self-service recycling machine for the first time. It was an quite an interesting experience that tested my patience. The instructions on the recycling machine was self-explanatory, so I loaded my cans and bottles I collected at home into the machine one recyclable at a time. I don’t recommend crushing your aluminum cans because the recycling machine won’t able to identify it. There will be a few times you have to be patient because it takes awhile for the machine to identify your recyclable. However, sometimes the machine won’t be able to accept certain bottles because it’s unfamiliar with the size or shape. On the other hand, you can recycle as many cans and bottles in the recycling machine as long as it’s refundable under $ 19.99. After you finish all the steps, you sign the voucher and viola! There’s your recyclable refund! It was a fun experience nevertheless. The guys working there were friendly and kind to help me out, but I’m still bummed the machine didn’t like my wine bottles or some of the Gatorade bottles I collected.
