He is really nice, caring, and exceptionally good at acupuncture. I would say he has his own method of doing acupuncture and while at first I was skeptical and afraid, he is one of the two acupuncturists I trust. I always feel better after seeing him and I like listening to his stories. His wife is very sweet and funny as an added bonus.

I went to Tsang maybe 20 yrs ago since I had a spur in my heel, that a regular Dr. said he needed to operate an be off 6 weeks or more. Dr. Tsang cured me in 2 months, Never taking 1 day of work off. I swear by this Gentle Man. He is Awesome an his wife who is the receptionist is very sweet. If he can’t help you he will say so. I am ready to go back since having stomach troubles rather him than some Practicing Dr. poking with no answers.

Okay, the place is in need of an extreme office makeover, but Dr Ho is amazing! And his lovely wife, Ai-Ling, who runs the front desk, is Lovely! A little personal history: I took Dr Ho’s «Intro to TCM Class» many years ago at Napa Valley College as a break from all my biology classes. Wow, what a detour that provided! We’d meet every Wednesday from 6−9pm and he would lecture about some aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine, while Ai-Ling would be busy on the sidelines, preparing a fabulous feast based on whatever foods/herbs he was covering that night. She also did a LOT of translating for Dr Ho, as his accent is a bit thick, to say the least. Dr Ho’s story is fascinating, but his work as a practitioner of TCM is miraculous. Throughout the semester in his class, we heard numerous personal stories from our fellow classmates, many of whom were patients of Dr Ho. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I finally went to him myself, seeking help for my 10 year old’s asthma. My son had been diagnosed with asthma 4 years prior and had been taking the usual stream of asthma meds. Controlled the asthma, mostly, but not completely. But the worst part was the horrible«sick» headaches he got nearly every 5 days while he was on the stuff. It sucks to watch someone have a «migraine», but it’s heartwrenching when it’s your own kid and there’s not a lot you can do when he’s begging you to just shoot him. Seriously. So, a couple summers ago, we finally weaned him off the daily stuff, just keeping the emergency inhaler around, «just in case» and went to see Dr Ho. After the first visit(okay, after I begged, bribed and pleaded with him to go in and get stuck with needles), he didn’t have a headache – or need the inhaler – for the week after. We went weekly, every Saturday morning, for the first month or two, which was kinda expensive at $ 60 a visit. Then, it was every other week, then eventually once a month, then a couple times a year(for a few weeks at a time). I can’t tell you how relieved my family is that our boy rarely has these headaches and that his asthma is practically non-existent. His pediatrician has been supportive since he has had such an improvement in both the asthma and the headache situation. Perhaps even a little chagrined. Well, I don’t rub it in. Anyway, I’m finally going to see him for insomnia this week – after 3 years of everything else except pot. And major narcotics. I just don’t swing that way. I’ll have to post an update after my own experience. But if you are hemming and hawing over taking the plunge for your chronic pain or your unsolvable medical situation, I urge you to give Ai-Ling a call and just go in. You probably won’t be able to understand much if you do not speak his native language – at first – , but you can always ask Mrs Dr Ho to come in and help translate. It’s very important you do whatever he tells you and especially that, when he asks you about your symptoms, do NOT just give him a medical condition. Tell him what hurts or that you can’t poop or that your ears are always ringing, but do NOT try to tell him you have arthritis or Irritable Bowel Syndrome or tinnitus, because he will say, «I am the doctor, you are the patient. Tell me your symptoms – I will do the diagnosing…» He’s authoritative like that. And a bit gruff, but also very sincere and completely confident in his skills to help you. You should know he also has a Western Medical degree from Hong Kong, as well as having been a professor in TCM there. Dr Ho and Ai-Ling? Good people, good medicine.
