So so so bad! I have never not paid for a meal, but four of us went and literally would not eat our meal. There was absolutely no flavor in any dish. The gnocchi was rock hard… we all put lots of salt and it was still in edible. We returned it and ordered a pizza from filipi’s! That was good.

Loved the atmosphere if this place. Had good service and while we only had dessert, the entrees looked amazing and our dessert was delicious. I would totally come here again.

Came in not to dine, but to dance. The live entertainment was cool because it was kind of Motown-live music. A lot of the old-yet wise folks got to get their groove on but its refreshing as a 20-something to jive to some classics once in a while. Especially since I came in with a family member, it was good to get a nice clean girls night. Especially, some good old fashion dancing! That’s right, dancing… not freaking! The bar was a buzz and it was hard to get the bartenders attention. They don’t have Newcastle here either… meh. So I got a White Chardonnay. I don’t know why I got a plastic tiny cup when everyone else got a legit wine glass. Bahh… for $ 10 I don’t think it was worth it but hey, anything to get my buzz for dancing. Lighting is bright and people around are also having dinner. Not sure, I’d do dinner here once the place is a blaze with dancers but maybe lunch or early dinner(I saw a brushetta that looked mighty tasty) like before 9PM. –35+ y.o. definitely ruled over the bar and the dance floor but I still had a good time.

Unfortunately, we didn’t make dinner reservations anywhere on a Saturday night in Napa, so we picked the closest restaurant with the shortest wait. Bad idea :(The service was horrible! The waiter didn’t take our order until 30 mins. or so after we had been seated. Additionally, this Italian restaurant ran out of bread!!! Thankfully they gave us some Bruschetta on the house, but we had no bread throughout dinner! I had the Risotto which tasted OK, but my friend had Gnocchi which wasn’t cooked all the way. We would’ve been better off just suffering through the long wait at one of the higher rated restaurants nearby.

The ambiance here is good but my entrée was disappointing. There were four of us dining together, two of us ordered the quail. The two plates of quail looked completely different and the portions of each component were totally off. My plate had a ton of artichokes and two grapes, my friend’s plate had a ton of grapes and two artichokes. My quail looked like it had been dragged through a car wash, his still looked like a bird. I had about two tablespoons of mulfati, he had about ½ cup. The gnocchi were stiff and overcooked. I pointed this all out to our waiter and he sort of rolled his eyes at me. I wouldn’t go here again, it was just okay. I did hear the woman at the table next to us say that her cheesecake was the«best cheesecake ever,» and if I had enjoyed my dinner a little more, I probably would have stuck around for dessert. Their loss, I guess.

Not sure why this place has so many low ratings. I’ve visited the place twice: once in the summer 2012& right before Christmas 2012. Both times I’ve had good food and service. I’m not rating this place for how it compares to all other snobby Napa restaurants, but rather how does it stand in a category of it’s own, a simple restaurant with good ambiance and food quality for a price. The first time I came it was a busy Friday night. I had a salmon and the person I was with ordered a special: Tri-tip slow roasted on a mesquite grill. I thought salmon was well prepared and melted in my mouth, that is until I tried the meat — it was exquisite; I with that was one of their regular dishes. The second time I came in I had lamb chops and they were of good quality and well prepared. Both times I had servers that were knowledgeable. While the service was not the fastest I’ve seen, it was within reason. The ambiance and décor are very inviting and cozy. I would definitely eat here again.

A bit late for my review but better late than never! 0n 7÷29÷12 I was exploring the town with 2 other friends when we decided to have dinner, it was about 5 pm. Walking around the main street Tuscany caught our eye. The ambiance looked great. We were seated by the host, the server immediately came over and greeted us and asked if we would like to start with something to drink. We ordered. Our drinks arrived with 5 minutes. I ordered the lamb chops, as did my second friend. The third friend ordered a salad. After waiting 15 minutes or more before the order finally arrived, both lamb orders were over cooked & dry with no flavor. Our server was no where in sight, we waited for 10 more minutes before we hailed him as he did not come over to ask us how everything was. We mentioned how the lamb was over cooked & dry, he said that’s the way it should be. When we return to Napa some time in the future, we will definitely avoid Tuscany.

Our«adventure» at Tuscany started with the host who had far more important things to do than show us to our table. Luckily, we had time to consider our lack of understanding of his life, aspirations, and frankly, the impact of our impertinence on his karmic well being, since our waiter didn’t make an appearance for over 10 minutes(when our drink order was taken, much to our relief). Well, since we’re slow readers and incredibly indecisive, the next 15 minutes of solitude were spent reviewing the menu and formulating a list of questions. When next our waiter miraculously appeared, he snatched up the menus and asked if we’d made up our minds. And then… he said something to the effect of «um, gotta go» as he sprinted away without our order. Our drinks did arrive though and we were able to order without menus(«um, the last pasta on the list, and the one above that?»). The carpaccio was very good, building up our hopes and appetite for the salads we’d ordered! Much to our surprise, the salads didn’t arrive, but the entrees did… Hmmm… I wonder where that bottle of wine got to? I had the Spaghetti-O’s, you know, the tasteless stuff that comes out of a can? Whatever it was supposed to be(cappelini?) seemed to be missing that key ingredient of most pasta dishes — flavor, despite the dried green stuff sprinkled on top. My GF’s pasta(?) was cold and frankly, looked like a dog’s breakfast on a cold and foggy day. It was only then that our waiter came back(and by now, we’re literally an hour into this train wreck) with a GLASS of wine and the admission that he’d forgotten the salads. Duh. Since we were in a hurry(concert around the corner, and had already missed the opening act), and the food was practically gone, we weren’t too fussy — at this point, it was laugh or cry — so we drank our $ 126 bottle of wine as quickly as possible and got out of Tuscany before the roof fell in… Fell in anymore. Um, and please know that anyone who gives this place more than 2x stars is either an employee of Tuscany, has family members held at gunpoint in the basement as hostages, or Tuscany’s owner has photos of them being inappropriate with a goat. There was one bright side to this nightmare — we had a fun time on the drive home talking about the review we’d write on Unilocal… To summarize, if you can find a Round Table Pizza somewhere, go for it, you’d probably enjoy a meal there more…

This place is just okay. The scallop appetizer was meh. The pasta I tasted was meh. The service was meh. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend Allegria across the street! Their pasta is tasty!

I’ll give it two stars for ambiance. :) Okay, let’s start with the positives that ranked it a whopping two star rating: The ambiance really is great. The restaurant is a open ‘great room’ style restaurant — high ceilings, cozy décor, open kitchen. The acoustics are designed for extra noise, which does add to the décor. After a few drinks, people begin speaking louder and louder and it actually gives the restaurant a lively feel. Another positive, I’m told the ‘Dirty Larry’ cocktails are pretty darn good. They look good, maybe in a few months, I’ll go back and try one. The appetizers were great. We had bruschetta and capaccio. Both were executed well. They are not large appetizers though. We were a party of 5 and the bruschetta came with four pieces. The ribeye steaks were good, so long as you ordered them properly prepared — like medium rare. BUT, it’s hard to screw up a ribeye when it is cooked medium rare. Someone at our table ordered theirs medium well and it wasn’t so appealing looking. But perhaps that is appropriate punishment for doing that to such a fine cut of meat. The quail is wonderful as well. The service was great. Despite the room being full and boisterous, the waitstaff was perfectly attentive. The company I was in was fabulous. The restaurant could have served dog poop on a stick, and I likely still would have had a great time. That’s how it works amongst friends I think. Now here is were it falls a bit short — As many of the review suggest, their pasta SUCKS. It is thick, rubbery, sticks in your throat and quite flavorless. The same applies for their gnocchi. Everyone who ate it agreed(well, save for one connoisseur, but that just had to be a joke, I think). One of my fellow guests actually returned it. Out of the whopping FIVE pieces of butternut squash ravioli she was served for an entrée, she only managed to choke down two. So, they recooked the THREE she had not consumed and brought them back to her. Well guess what? They still completely sucked. The dessert — How on earth is it possible to screw up your ‘special’ dessert for the evening? My boyfriend ordered the brownie and it was burnt. I don’t know if it was the brownie itself, or the chocolate sauce that had been burnt, but he tried to get me to take a bit and I couldn’t even try it because the smell of burnt chocolate was so pervasive. Now, despite the fact that the service was great, we had two guests who were not happy with their meals and couldn’t eat them. You would think the restaurant would have comped these meals back, right? No, they don’t do that. So, for a party of five, we had a total bill of a little over $ 450 — and two of us could not consume any alcohol!!! $ 450 for what? Great appetizers, apparently pretty decent cocktails(although a couple of drinks brought to the table were too strong or overspiced to be consumed) and hit and miss on the dinners. It’s way too pricey to be appreciated for a dining experience. All the complaints about food put aside, they had a live band which wasn’t too bad(a bunch of old farts playing an awful lot of Van Morrison slightly under the right tempo) which definitely added some fun to the night as well. So yes, if you want a few cocktails, a few appetizers, and to enjoy a lively and casual evening with your friends, this could be a great place to go. I wouldn’t recommend this for anything else though. Sorry Tuscany.

Well this was a disappointment… it started off great. Our hostess was extremely helpful and receptive… our waitstaff was ok… I ordered the fried calamari to start(it was ok)…had to ask for the bread… Ordered 2 entrées because I didn’t want to choose(salmon with Risotto and quail) and ordered a pasta dish for my son… the pasta I was told is made in house so my expectations were elevated since I frequent Oenotri… I ordered the quail with spinach malfati and butternut squash gnocchi… my son’s pasta was yummy… the«malfati» and«gnocchi» were so dense and lacked flavor that I needed to call my waitperson over to verify what I was trying to chew… she said«that’s how they are… it’s a love hate thing…» I’m not sure what she meant by that… but the texture of what I ate was dense and gummy at the same time… inedible and shouldn’t have been served… that is NOT what malfati or gnocchi is supposed to taste like… instead of trying to figure out how to improve the situation my waitress went on a smoke break and I had to flag other staff to box up my son’s pasta and get the check… I won’t be back…

The experience I had at this restaurant was probably the worst service I have ever had– even before considering the average price of $ 20.00 per entrée. I was traveling to California on a corporate off site and made the mistake of taking our team out to dinner at this location. Our waiter started our night off by mocking some of the diners at our table for ordering drinks such as the«blue dream.» He looked puzzled as we ordered a round of cocktails off of THEIR menu. After a few minutes of no cocktails arriving he returned with the answer that they didn’t have the ingredients to make the drink. Next, appetizers arrived one or two at a time and one was forgotten all together. Entrees were no different, arriving one or two at a time. My ravioli dish had broken while it was being boiled and some of the raviolis were empty. I notified the waiter and was not offered another dish and it was not taken off of my bill. A bottle of wine we ordered was not available so the waiter brought out two half bottles. It was almost comical how something went wrong at every point in the meal. I could go on about the night but I’d rather not relive the frustration of poor service, indifferent management, and a couple hundred dollars down the drain.

The maitre d was warm and welcoming but our waiter was a young kid who was totally clueless. We started out with the scallop appetizer, but it was overwhelmingly balsamic and drowned out the subtle flavor of the scallop. The Caesar salad was good, but not exceptional. My wife had the roasted pork loin which had been brined and was very tasty. The mashed potatoes Lon her plate tasted watery. I had the filet mignon. It was cooked appropriately and very tender. It had been wrapped in bacon which was mostly raw and I had to send the bacon back to be cooked. The young man who was our waiter was almost adequate but certainly not attentive or well trained. Overall, this restaurant does not quite have it together. It doesn’t appear that anyone is in charge of the wait staff and the front of the house, and the chef has a difficult time of getting his Mexican cooking staff to follow his instructions.

I came here one evening after wine tasting. We were in the mood for pasta but their menu offered nothing promising. But we decided to stay a bit anyway. So I ordered a sprite and tried to find something to order but it was a complete no go. So we decided to go elsewhere, and that’s when it got interesting. The server forced me to pay for the stupid sprite which I didn’t take a sip of. Being a stubborn Taurus that I am. I politely told him to call the police if this will be an issue and I will see him in court. And we left. Point of this review is: they have horrible selection. Even horrible-er customer service with wacky ass employees. Just don’t go here. Ok thanks. I eat at places like this as much as I need a shot to the foot. Fail Tuscany. Big time.

First off — let me be clear on this — NEVERORDERANYSTEAKSTHERE! Okay here is the take: a. Ambiance is fantastic, nice, relaxing b. Service excellent — Audrey was wonderful Now the Food My wife opened up with a beet salad which she liked and I had the mussels in a tomato saffron broth. It was okay, not awesome, but they give you a lot of mussels, which was nice. For dinner, my wife had a chicken with gnocci and loved it. The chicken was moist and the dish well dressed up. For me, the disaster began with the Top Sirloin. Usually I do not order a Sirloin, unless I’m eating at Outback, but the server recommended it. When it came out, I thought to myself, «DEAR G-D, this doesn’t look like a steak, it was huge, much more than a typical size one. It was also super tough to eat. It looked like a piece of roast and not a steak. They took it back and then asked me if I wanted something else– I agreed and asked for the Ribeye — big mistake. I love Ribeyes and know the difference between a great piece of meat and something that should be served to my dogs. What I got is being served at this moment to my dogs. It was big, but did not look really like a Ribeye. Sure it had some marble with the fat, but it was not top tier meat. Again, somewhat tough and after a bit, I said no more. For the entire fiasco they gave us dessert. We got the brownie — fantastic and the ice cream equally yummy. Then the bill came. I thought they may take off some cost for that narly steak scene, but ahh this is Napa and they did not. Total cost, which neither of us had wine — $ 86, before tip. So, basically a $ 103 for below, below average. I surmise they made a 250% profit on that piece of crap they called a steak. Oh, the people next to us, had the T-Bone and I saw them make unhappy faces too. So, I went over and talked to them. Her T-Bone looked like a round steak and the woman said to me it was disgusting. Again, I know what a T-Bone should look like, and that was no T-Bone. What was really disheartening was the owner is also the chef. If he can’t tell the difference between good meat and crap, you are in trouble, unless you want solid dog food.

A very nice option for italian food in Napa. Good service and resonably priced. I had my usual linguini with clams that has been my standard option at italian resteraunts recently. The clams were a bit small but plentiful and very tasty.

Be aware, my review is for the bar area only. Came here in search of a chocolate brownie with ice cream. They have it!(and it is delicious). Ate it in the bar area while my husband enjoyed the wine and I tried a Russian Mule(highly recommend it). Excellent bartender– he basically acted as our waiter(we were seated near the bar, but at our own table). Very friendly.

I didn’t eat the food here but I definitely enjoyed the live music that was playing inside and OUTSIDE of the restaurant. Outside meaning through the speakers, where they are able to attract their customers from across the streets to come inside their venue. That’s what happened to me! After dinner, we decided to drop by here to enjoy some live music. We grabbed a couple of drinks and sat at the bar side, where it was packed! The owner was very nice to us since he was at the bar. We ended up getting a mojito and a glass of cabernet sauvignon for the night. The décor was nice. I liked the brick walls. It gave a certain look for the restaurant and the fireplaces in the back. Live music is always a plus! Maybe I should of gone for dinner here instead: P
