I heard about this establishment while listening to the radio. I’ve been here twice, about 5 weeks apart. Sarah was my stylist both times. I secured my appointments online at the 18|8 website. This business is conveniently open 7 days a week. Sarah is masterful with her Oster Crewmaster and her 0 through 1−½ blades and she blends/tapers the cuts from the top down to prevent developing a line… that’s «Fade» lingo if you don’t understand. Make an appointment with Sarah if you want the tightest fade in Naperville.

This place is worth every penny! This place isn’t the cheapest spot for a men’s haircut but they do an amazing job! The minute you walk in they offer you water, coffee, tea, etc. They have special shirt-robe things that you wear and leave your shirt in a locker. I love this, because I can leave after my cut and go about my day without irritating hair all over my back and neck. My cut was perfect. Kelly listened to what I wanted and did it better than I explained. The warm towel and straight edge neck shave are a really nice touch. I’m so glad I found this place.

I just stopped in here yesterday and got a hair cut from Sam. The layout here is nice. New facility and everything seems upscale. As a former Sport Clips customer, I really felt like this experience at 18⁄8 was much more centered around getting me the haircut I wanted and that they were concerned with my satisfaction more than just getting me in and out of the chair quickly. They did the first time cut upgrade for free(can’t remember which package) and it was nice. I got a wash before and after the cut, a razor shave on my neck, and a light neck massage. Will probably opt for the basic package on future cuts unless I feel the need for the additional items. It looks like they are setup for a ton of different services(MAN-icures etc) so I’ll have to check those out in the future. I’ll definitely be back. The best part is that I couldn’t have been happier with my cut. Sam nailed it. Perfect!

I didn’t review at first but now I feel like I need to. First and foremost the haircut was awesome. My stylist was great and I got probably one of my best cuts. The receptionist was beyond horrible. She was beyond clueless. I was going to let it go as just a kid with no idea what she is doing. On this past Wednesday I get a phone call and this girl is trying to tell me I have an appt at 3pm. I had to ask her 3 times what company she was with because you can’t even understand the gibberish coming from her. I finally had to google the number. That is annoying to begin with but I specifically told her that I would call for my next appt. Which she obviously ignored. That is an inconvenience for myself but also bad business. Wasted appt spot that they couldn’t fill.

Very professional salon for men. I’ve been going to Sport Clips for a while(only because it is right my house). I am very impressed with 18|8. Beth was the stylist who took care of me and she did a great job. She is the only stylist to ever cut my hair the way I’ve asked. I will definitely see Beth from now on. I found my regular salon. — Henry

If you want a sexy haircut from a talented stylist, this is it. I had a cut from Nikki just 10 minutes ago and couldn’t be happier. They are open late too! Bravo!

I just got done with my haircut and headed next door to Naf Naf which I love to eat at and is the reason I found 18⁄8 salon because I was going there for lunch. I wouldn’t have noticed it otherwise but it said Fine Men’s hair salon. So I’m like hmm… Let me check it out. I called that day to see what it was all about and ask for the price of the haircut. On their website they have it listed as buy one get one free so it’s $ 39 for two haircuts. So I’m like if its okay then I am paying what I pay at other places so no harm no foul. I paid $ 39 plus 20% tip and it was worth it! Granted it’s not a cheap haircut if you compare to Supercuts or Sports Clips etc. I usually pay about about $ 26 plus tip at the places I go to. But I will tell you! It was worth every penny! From when I walked in they offered me a complimentary beverage(they’re trying to get beer too! I wouldn’t mind having a glass of wine instead). The haircut I got from Sarah and overall guidance about which products I should use and how often I should wash my hair, a shampoo before and after my haircut(and isn’t have to leave hair and walk to another chair for hair wash all in same chair where you get a haircut) which I haven’t seen before it’s usually once but here they do twice which was a nice touch so I don’t have hair all over me when I leave, a neck and shoulder massage and the cut that she told me was a technique they were trained by American Crew(I thought they only made hair care products but I guess they train salons on technique on how to cut) in addition to her other experience at other salons she worked at she told me when I asked. I honestly came in for a buy one get one special but I might not have gone in otherwise but if I didn’t I would have missed out on a great haircut. They said if I get the package which is pre-paid haircuts I get 7 for $ 33 instead of $ 39 or something like that along discounts and free neck cleanings and ear trims in between cuts. So I think it’s a value for what that package is. The girl at the front desk Shelby was super nice also and cute and knowledgable which is not what you always get. The other stylist and Sarah and Shelby all seem to get along well and Sarah told me that the owners care about everyone there and want to keep the stylists happy. So if they are happy to work there they will take even more pride in their work. When I leave a salon I usually think okay nice haircut. It’s fine. $ 26 and it’s okay. But I did double takes and got compliments also on my hair. I don’t work for these guys or get compensated by them in any way and don’t know them except for getting a cut there which was by accident. I use Unilocal a lot and like getting insights into good places so when I like something I would love any honest opinion. If you say what’s the downside. Honestly only the price and that’s if you compare with a Sports Clips. But I’ve been to Halo downtown Chicago and I paid $ 45 there and some high end salons charge more. Now they just brought that quality of cut to the burbs for guys! I’ll definitely be going back for my free haircut along with a free trim and cleanup in between in two weeks and then buy 7 package deal as it’s worth it to save that $ 6 per haircut. I can only speak about my stylist Sarah but I’m sure the salon hired equally good talent. But if you want a sure thing try out Sarah!!! Then try out the other person and see who you like. Oh yeah, I had my dog with my mother in the car as we were picking up dinner from Naf Naf(yes I love that place too!!). They asked to see Barfi so I brought him in. They are dog people so that was very nice also as I could bring him in. Next time I’ll bring home along when I get my cut. Not sure if they allow that but my guy is small so maybe that was a one time thing but it was nice that I could even then.

This salon is AMAZING! Sarah is the BEST! From sitting down with me and talking about what I needed and she took it from there. The shampoo and scalp massage felt really good and the products she recommended were right on point. When I walked out of there my hair looked and felt great! Thanks Sarah!

Great place. Makes you feel at home super friendly and definitely high standards. Not like any other men’s salon out there.
