If I could give zero stars I would in a heartbeat. Waiting room is big enough but outdated. The receptionist seems a little lost on how to bill or deal w insurance for that matter. She asked me what our insurance charges… she attempted to charge me for our copay for a specialist when really our insurance covers 1 free yearly exam AND an OBGYN is not a specialist… nice try slick. I originally started coming here for my yearly exams. I found out my husband and I were expecting a few months after my first exam with them. Everything was fine. Typical procedures for early pregnancy. I was about 9wks pregnant and i started bleeding. The on call at the time didn’t seem concerned and wanted to me wait it out. The following day was worse so I called again and they had me come in. At 9wks we were having a miscarriage. As most people we were devastated. Dr. Bodowski came in after the ultrasound tech and said«baby is dead» and closed the door. Yes this may be an every day occurrence for the practice however this is an awful bedside manor. After having the miscarriage I had to go in weekly to make sure my levels were coming down. They never made appointments regarding those. No one informed me that there’s someone there everyday to draw blood. Not a normal protocol for a dr’s office to NOT need appointments. Needless to say we have switched practices. Just stay away.

Dr. Badowski examined me for a rash on my breast in conjunction with breastfeeding. He spent less than two minutes with me and his diagnosis was, «Eh, it’s nothing. Put some hydrogen peroxide on it.» It turned out that it was eczema, and the hydrogen peroxide just made it worse. I spent a month in pain before returning to see the nurse practitioner, who actually took the time to look at it and refer me to a dermatologist.

The lack of compassion is staggering. What a huge dissappointment this Dr is.

I have been going to this practice since mid-way through my 2nd pregnancy, in January 2009. They are indeed a very busy office, but that is to be expected when they are so popular. I have not had any bad experiences, although I do have to wait a fairly long time on occasion(this should be expected, though, when you are scheduled with an on-call doctor. If you cannot wait, be sure that each appt that you make is NOT with the on-call doc of the day). Dr. Badowski is friendly and laid-back, but he is not going to treat you like you’re his best friend(that’s not really what I am looking for in a doctor. I want friendly, but most of all, knowledgeable.) A few weeks back one of the docs forgot to order a blood test for me which helps detect pre-eclampsia. When I went for my follow up appointment he was very apologetic about it and made sure that I got the test done very quickly at the hospital(right across the parking lot), rather than sending me to the outside laboratory to have it done. The nurses are VERY friendly, as is the ultrasound tech. I have yet to have had anyone treat me rudely, as another commenter reported. The front desk staff is always very busy, but they are extremely friendly and patient. Check-in can sometimes be slow, but they apologize about the wait. The office itself is not glitzy, but it is adequate(except for the fact that the exam rooms are not very sound-proof, so I can usually hear the details of the appointments in the rooms around me – good thing the doors are closed to protect privacy.) I sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic in the waiting room if it is a particularly busy morning. They do not use electronic medical records(at least not yet – don’t know if they intend to switch over to it at some point.) The practice delivers at Edward Hospital, which is a very nice hospital and not overwhelmingly big. Their Labor & Delivery unit is very close to the North Entrance, so it is very visitor-friendly and convenient. Parking is free. Baby #3 is coming in a few days, so I will update my review after I have a chance to reflect upon that experience.
