I had the unfortunate experience of dealing Peter Liu, an agent for Charles Gutenberg Realty, when he was a showing agent for a rental property. After making us fill out 2 complex rental applications, he let us know we were approved for the property and that he would work with the property’s owners and tenants to determine our move-​in date. I repeatedly emailed and called Mr. Liu to figure out when we would be signing a lease as well as get the move-​in date. He ignored my communications for OVER TWO WEEKS. He finally called to inform me that the current tenants agreed to pay the higher rent that we were going to pay. Essentially, our application was used as a bargaining chip to force the current tenants to pay more rent. So we were left hanging in the wind why these negotiations took place. To add insult to injury, Mr. Liu took OVER TWO WEEKS to refund my application fees. He was unprofessional, evasive and incompetent.

I have personally worked with Charles Rutenberg Realty, and spoken with many agents about them as well. Apparently everyone agrees that this is the place to be! They won an award in the Chicago Tribune last year being named one of the top 100 companies to work for in the Chicagoland area. My experience is nothing less. The Broker is also very knowledgable and always available to help his agents. Top Notch!

I recently contacted Julie Doss because my husband and I are moving to Naperville and did not work with a buyer/​renter agent. I have been contacting listing agents directly, to find us a home, and have had many experiences with all kinds of realtors. Then I met Julie when I called on one of her listings, and wow! She was so accomodating, to work around our hectic schedule. She was honest, professional and had wonderful insight for us.
