Elgin Clock Repair

Fantastic experience @ Elgin Clock Repair in Naperville. Citizen EcoDrive watch stopped working abruptly. Alicia spent time trying to troubleshoot and when not entirely successful left detailed notes for owner to look at. Came back in to pick up and the watch was as good as new. I did not purchase this watch here, but I will absolutely purchase my next one here. So friendly and helpfu, I felt like I was a family friend for years. Best customer service I have received from any business in a very long time. Great selection of watches and clocks.
I will be back.

Just went into Elgin Clock Repair to have a watch battery replaced. After opening the case and testing the battery, I was told the battery is fine and didn’t need replacing. After checking the gasket and looking over the inside under magnification, the watch was handed back to me with a plausible explanation working just fine. NO CHARGE!?! Who does that anymore? Thank you Elgin Clock Repair. I will be back

Lugged a very large wall clock in whose hands had come loose. The owner was able to reattach the hands on the spot and showed me how to fix it if it happened again. Didn’t even charge me. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

They change any watch battery; even ceramic watches! Super nice employees. I go here every time I need a watch battery now! THANK YOU!

Things get a little hectic around the holidays. I was walking around for 4 days with my watch stuck at a fixed time. It needed a new battery and I was directed to this wonderful little shop.
The gentleman was extremely helpful and we had a nice chat, while he worked on my watch, about how some children are no longer being taught to tell time and have absolutely no concept of what «clockwise» means. Sad, but true. The chiming of a clock is a ²⁴⁄₇ at our house, well, every 15 minutes really,
The shop has all kinds of clocks that not only chime, they play seasonal songs, dance, open up, change colors. I was smiling while I waited.
This is, obviously, a clock repair shop and I learned there are only 17 master clockmakers in the United States and 2 of them work for this company and will repair your clock. Because of this demand, repair times can run 2 months, BUT, you can bring your clock in, receive your estimate, and then take your clock back home until it is your (clock’s) turn for repair. Works for me, I have a clock that still tells time but has stopped chiming.
So, if you are not of the digital age and have a clock or watch in need of repair, this is your spot.
