I would have given zero stars, but that isn’t an option. We contacted Ken about painting a few rooms and installing laminate flooring on our first floor. His quote was very reasonable and he even offered to pick the flooring up for us which he did and dropped it off 2 days prior to the start of the work. He was hoping to start on a Thursday with the following Monday being the absolute latest. This was fine for us as we were out of town. Monday morning at 8:30 Ken emailed to inform us he couldn’t start because a customer had flooding and he had to get in before mold set in. My wife emailed him to get an idea of when he would be able to start, no response. I emailed and called the following day to try and get an answer and he emailed back saying he was looking at getting someone else to do the flooring because he wouldn’t be available for 2 weeks. Again no response. One more follow up email the following with no response again. If someone backs out of a project the customer should not have to chase them down for answers. Ken’s actions were totally unprofessional and have left us living amongst boxes of flooring as we scramble for someone else to do the work. I don’t recommend anyone hire Ken for even the smallest project.

If I could give zero stars I would. He came to my house, quoted the job, and we agreed upon a start date. No show, no call. After some excuses about a family emergency, it turns out he was just lying and backed out of the job. Very unprofessional. Commit, lie using family as an excuse, then belligerent because I expected more from him. So glad no after reading reviews of his actual work (if he shows) that he actually didn’t touch anything in my house.
