I love this hidden gem! Opened yesterday under new owners as the original owner retired to FL. Green beef curry is delish! So is the fried rice. So flavorful. Best thing they have — PHO!

Walk in about 4:30 for dinner… 3 older woman leaving. The waitress didn’t address us so we sat down. She grabbed menus from table and flipped new ones on the table with out a word. I assumed she switched to dinner menus but for a place to be completely empty for evening and not even address us not even a Hello was pretty unimpressive to say the least. but start with the décor seventies puke green carpeting on a bench the entire length of the restaurant. Typical fast food Chinese décor. the salt and pepper shakers were so filthy with old food I could actually see fingerprints in sweet and sour sauce on them. They were disgusting almost as disgusting as the green carpet seat. the waitress finally approached and asked if we were ready we ordered 2 appetizers to drinks and she stated that they did not renew their liquor license. how disappointing as they advertise to this day about the beers they sell. I have to admit though the menu looked fabulous not your typical Chinese food when you want Thai. this place was also recommended from somebody that I actually trust and eats out almost every day. Finally we placed order and ordered the cashew delight and something else that I cannot even find on their takeout menu. It was beef with noodles and fresh veggies with oil. The food was insanely salty but fresher than expected and very flavorful. I love that it’s not typical Chinese food but actual Thai with a lot of basil and garlic. They adjust the heat to your liking as well. As odd as this may seem this is definitely a go back just for the fresh food and the decent menu. don’t expect much of anything else. Just enough food per serving… Not unreasonable but a tad high prices for what you get.

I’m so disappointed at the changes at this place, a previous favorite of mine. The food quality is way down and the prices are way, way up. My most recent order– orange chicken — was deep red in color and almost tasteless; there was not one hint of orange flavor. A total ripoff at around $ 14.00 plus tax. This is the third time in a row I feel ripped off. I hate to say it, but I’m done with this former favorite.

I’ve never written a bad review before, but this place was just so disappointing. It smells like a greasy diner. The waitress was odd. Instead of showing us a table she just said«Sit here», and granted the place isn’t that big but she didn’t say where. She was curt even though there was only one other table there, and the food was less than mediocre. The rice wasn’t even cooked all the way, and the pad Thai tasted like ketchup. If you are looking for Thai, Le Siam is way better.

I was so impressed with Lemon grass! Very authentic taste. Exactly what I am used to in Asia. Love love loved it. If you like Thai food/authentic Asian its not going to disappoint. Its fairly priced as well I would say.

Terrible food and slow service. Worst Thai food I have ever had in USA.

I have to admit, I never thought this small little restaurant was going to be as good as this. A combination of both Thai and Vietnamese cuisines, it has a fairly large menu and it was all very good, The Chicken Puffs were incredible light pastry puffs and were very tasty. my favorite was the Vietnamese Egg Rolls, with shrimp and pork, that were light and crispy, small by egg roll standards but so good. Both entrees were excellent, though they were out of soft shell crab we originally wanted to try. They have many stir fry veggie combinations that you can add your protein with or just enjoy as is if your a Vegetarian. Mine was the Ginger stir fry with chicken, and possibly one of the best I have had. If your passing thru Naperville, do yourself a flavor stop by and enjoy this great little place. No Booze, but awesome Thai Iced Tea.

I’m going to keep this short, because I don’t want to wallow in my own self pity and disappointment, nor do I want to drag all of Unilocal with me. I had lunch here on a weekday. The restaurant was mostly empty — so empty that it was almost awkward. *crickets* I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and asked for spicy/medium. When it comes to spice levels, I stick with«better safe than sorry.» The Pad Thai was not spicy at all — the heat was like a mild generic salsa. The noodles were extra oily and greasy and drowning in sauce. This dish was edible but not very good. Lunch specials($ 7.95) come with soup, salad, and an «appetizer of the day.» The soup was plain chicken broth with rice. I didn’t touch the salad, it was just a handful of iceberg lettuce with a few splashes of a neon orange dressing. The filling in the crab rangoon was less than the size of my thumbnail. I would have gladly paid $ 7.95 for great Pad Thai WITHOUT the pathetic extras. The service is fine, and I received my food very quickly. The Thai Green soda(cream soda) was good and less sugary than other sodas, but I don’t plan to come back here for a $ 2 beverage.

Ordered take out for the first time. I got the pad thai and hubs got the pad kee mao(crazy noodle) And the crab rangoon for an app. We will not be coming back! Once I took my first whiff and bite I knew it was off. Then upon closer inspection I saw the burned charred pieces of noodle that were spoiling this dish.(also was way too greasy) So since we live nearby I gave a call and told them. I got a prompt apology and offer for credit or new food. I opted for new food as I could not choke this down. Long story short, twice burned! My guess is they never washed the pan. Ick!

This was an interesting experience for us. We had never been here before, and found it mainly off of Unilocal, which stated they were open so we went to check it out. We pulled in, bright neon open sign was on, walked in and were great by a waitress you immediately said they were closing in 15 minutes. Which was very confusing, we asked if that meant we couldn’t eat, which she said we could. I then asked if that meant we had only 15 minutes to eat, which she said we didn’t. We were sat aft that and I was left wondering why she even brought that up. I found out a bit later in the meal, as we felt a bit rushed throughout the whole meal, but the food we got was very tasty. Good curry, good noodle dish, good rice dish, good apps. I would do this again, but probably for lunch.

This hidden gem in the burbs is worth the trek! I couldn’t believe how delicious everything in this little restaurant was. It was all tasty… I tried the eggplant basil, curry fried rice, and vegetable panang curry. The golden triangles are pretty common, no need to try it there if you’re looking for something special. What you MUST try is the fingerfoods appetizer(yes, that is what it is called). They are bite size pieces of pastry that you pop in your mouth and the perfect blend of sweet and savory-peanuts, cucumber, lime, cilantro, red onions, ginger and jalapeño. Yum. I would drive the 45 minutes just for this! Service was friendly and the restaurant is cute with nice décor. The one drawback is that they close really early… at 9pm. We were the last ones there while the staff was vacuuming around us and clearing off tables. So if you’re going with chatty girlfriends that you haven’t seen in a few years then you should arrive really early or go elsewhere if you want a longer night. Also another Unilocaler pointed out that they weren’t really savvy with the checks… we had 3 credit cards and wrote down the amount and the last 4 digits of each but the waitress majorly messed it up. We spent another 10 minutes with food coma brain figuring out the math which was pretty annoying. But it wasn’t a huge deal as the food was worth it.

Decided to give this restaurant a several tries after looking at a lil over priced menu. Well, i wasn’t impressed much with the quality and the taste with the food. In facts, it was very disappointed. The food was completely not authentic(i know what its like). The taste of the essentials part of thai food, the RICE, was very poor; it was not jasmine rice! some kind of indian rice or cheaps or whatever that don’t give Jasmine rice taste. One thing I hate the most about Thai food is when they cook very raw meat! It’s UNRIPE! Despite the fact that I’m not hurry type customer that wants the food quick, they could have taken time scald my chicken thoroughly. Taking few more minutes to do so, improving a bunch of food quality for me would be a very good idea. Thinking about price that I think its a lil expensive and the food. I’d stop coming to this restaurant.

I have been here for lunch a couple of times. Both times, the food has been unremarkable. This time, I ordered pad khee mao with tofu and veggies and it was soooooo greasy! I don’t mind some oil, but there is no reason for a dish of veggie noodles to have a big grease pool at the bottom of the dish. I was pushing my food to the side of the plate so as to let a lot of the grease drain. Yuck. The service this time was really nice and friendly, but there is much better Thai food nearby, I’m sorry to say. I don’t think I’ll be back unless others are picking the place.

I went to this restaurant as a team of 7 for Lunch. Not much of a wait time. Just one waiter served us and she was really helpful. They have a special Lunch Menu. Soup, Salad and an Entrée for $ 7.95. Its really fantastic. I ordered Cashew Chicken. Food was really yummy and healthy. It satisfied both my tongue and stomach. lol! My team has 2 vegetarians too and they had Red Curry. Even they loved it. Location is not so obvious but have good parking space. I will definitely visit this cuisine next time.

Once, in college I really liked this girl. She introduced me to Thai food. I liked it so much I ate it all the time. Then I got fat. And she started dating this skinny hippy dude with dreadlocks. True story. My coworkers and I came here for lunch. We all ordered off the lunch menu. Service was absolutely atrocious as it took 15 min for our drinks to arrive and another 30 for the food to come. I don’t really blame the server, however, as there was a hefty crowd and she was the only one serving. With lunch, you get salad, soup and a crab rangoon. All were really really good. I had the Crazy Noodles. It was OK. There was baby corn in it. Not only did it not really go with the dish, it tasted NOTHING like a baby. Again, I felt really bad for the server who dropped off our separate checks, attempted at deciphering who’s card belonged to whom, gave up, dropped them on the table and goes, «I…I…I can’t do this.» I can only assume she locked herself in the bathroom afterwards, cradling her knees and rocking back and forth on the floor. I don’t blame her. I still tipped her 20%. I blame whoever manages the place. Also, I was all set to try their Phở despite the reviews on Unilocal. However, the fact that it is $ 4 more expensive than the average Phở price around here quickly changed my mind. tl;dr — SLOW lunch service; OK food.

I’m going to give this place another try eventually(once I move here), but in general I found the meal I had(basil fried rice) to be quite dry. Maybe their curry is better?

Ok, I love any food that isn’t American(no insults, just want to broaden my pallet) and I have been eying this place for some time mainly by the name associate of another Thai restaurant in Rock Island. Finally, I decided to pull in because gosh darn it I was craving some Thai food and I wanted SPICYGOODNESS! I walked in and mind you this place is small so coming in during the lunch rush and sitting or waiting for your carry out might take a while(which happens at any place during lunch time). Luckily I had the fortune of waiting little to no time because no one else was there(success) and since it was my first time I had absolutely no idea what to get. So what does any person do when they are blankly staring at the menu? I asked the lady who was working there and she first asked me if I liked spicy. Ahem, see what I said above and I obviously said yes. She was going to recommend a rice dish, but I was craving spicy noodle goodness and she suggested CRAZYNOODLES. Oh my gosh, my ethnicity has nothing to do with this, but I’m 100% Mexican and I’ve lived on spicy my whole life so I should have some idea on what spicy is. This stuff was spicy! Not the kick and then melt off, this was like bang, kick, SPICYGOODNESS. Exactly what I wanted and I received it. I only gave this place 4 stars because I tried only one dish, but this one dish really made me want to come back again and try more! To finally end this long story, I have to say the lady who recommended the noddles was very kind and sat chatting with me until customers arrived to sit for lunch. Very kind and I can’t wait to stop in again!

First Time Caller, Long Time Listener. I’d driven past this place many a time and never gone in for whatever reason. I think I had seen the not so hot Unilocal reviews and stayed away. Today, I finally caved and tried it since it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away from my med spa. After my chemical peel, I stopped in, grabbed a menu and scurried back to my car in case I didn’t like what I saw. After a quick look-see and checking out their vegetarian egg roll special, I decided to call in my order… from my car, much like a stalker. The guy on the phone was super friendly… so much so that I decided I would wait inside the building. Once inside, I really liked how cute the place was and decided to add to my order so I’d have enough food for Lunch, Dinner, and Lunch again. The young guy working there was very friendly and appeared to be manning the whole front of the house. The food came up quickly and they gave it to me with big smile. As soon as I got home I opened the bag couldn’t decide what to eat first, so I ate a little of everything. The veggie egg rolls were good, Tofu soup was good, the Tom Yum soup was great, and the basil eggplant with tofu was pure perfection. I enjoyed my food and will def be back for a sit down meal soon.
