Me and my sister usually attend Oberweis once and sometimes twice a week because we love getting dessert. The place is combined with That Burger Joint and I love how both of the restaurants contrast and go well together! The colors inside the Oberweis are very bright and remind me of a 50s diner. They have many different flavors for shakes and have various sundae and ice cream flavors to choose from. I personally love the apple pie shake and the peanut butter sundae is something to die for! The staff at this location are super friendly and know how to do their job thoroughly. Definitely come tot his location for great service and a killer dessert!

They have hands down one of THE best ice cream I have ever tasted! Its so, so creamy. Very good quality cream. The only downside is the PRICE. A double scoop will cost you a little under $ 5! During the winter season, they usually have specials on their half gallon ice cream. Buy three and get one free. That is when I stock up on their ice cream! Its definitely worth it. My flavor of choice is their cookie dough, my son loves the cookies and cream, cake batter is also great and so is Vanilla(a freezer staple in our household).

Never knew about this place until we received a mail coupon. Decided to give it a spin and went in for an afternoon ice cream run. And boy. was I happy I did! The best vanilla ice cream of my life! There is a wholesome taste to the vanilla ice cream here that I don’t get in any high quality ice creams out there. I have even started buying the Oberwies brand quart size pack at departmental stores. I hear good things about their organic milk and so presume that the ice cream quality is top class because of their famed milk. I recently bought a chocolate cake slices at this store(generous portion!!). I have always hated chocolate cakes. But when I tasted the cake here, I have started getting their chocolate cake whenever I visit this store. They also give out chocolate milk for tastings. Try it. If you like chocolate, you ll probably appreciate it. They have That Burger Joint connected from the inside. I have never eaten there. Burni think it is a cool place to grab a nite and top it off with an awesome dessert. The staff is friendly. The store has chess tables. So if you like chess, you’ll love this place. They gave out helium balloons for kids, so ask if you happen to visit. Bottom line– great vanilla ice cream, good seating, welcoming staff. Will be back!

I love oberweis! I have been going here ever since I was a kid. They have the most creamiest icecream and it is so yummy! The employees are the sweetest and make sure u get a lovely experience. You need to get there frozen mocha coffee and there hot fudge brownie. But if u want a simple scoop of icecream get there espresso caramel chip and cookies n cream

I’m down with the ‘weis. What this location completely lacks in ambience(ah yes, let’s go for a «sterile white» palette. Reminds me of milk and hospitals. –the oberwise guy), it makes up for in decent dairy products and a fun family diversion. Yes, their stuff is more expensive, but have you had their ice cream cakes? They are indulgent treats from heaven. Ice cream is good, milk is great too! Plus they hand out balloons to the kiddos, which I can never hate on. Just don’t release your balloon into the wild and choke a turtle! That’s just unkind.

It’s your traditional ice cream shop. Their big selling point is that all of their dairy products are produced locally. For about three years, my parents bought milk solely from Oberweis. The milk is fresh, and you can tell that it is good quality. The only other product I’ve tried is the ice cream(duh). If you want a heart attack, this is your place. I’ve had many of their sundaes, shakes and ice cream flavors. While they’re cool, creamy and delicious, they’re really not that special. It just tastes like any store bought ice cream to me. It’s a nice, but pricey place. You’ll see insane lines during the warmest days, with people hanging outside or playing chess indoors. It’s good for a once in a while treat, but be prepared to feel awful after.

A little pricey just like any Oberweis, but still pretty good dairy items. I found that they have Iced tea(which I am a big fan of, by the way) and so I tried a small 8 oz. bottle before I committed to the 2 quart bottle, and I’m glad I didn’t take the plunge. The tea tastes a little too much like Lipton brand instant tea for my liking, so if it didn’t come from a cow, I’d take a pass on it. Otherwise they are good to go!

Do you want to be greeted with a blank stare? Would you like your ice cream with side of attitude? No? Then this isn’t the location to visit.

Oberweis Dairy is a great place for some high quality ice cream and milk products-there’s something here for everyone. I’ve taken my girlfriend who’s from Colorado here multiple times, and she always loves their hot fudge sundae. I always get a chocolate malt, which is quite delicious. This place gets a ton of foot traffic from being off 59⁄95th in the heart of Neuqua territory. You’ll see a lot of families here which can be both good and bad. I’m all for bringing the kids to get ice cream after dinner, but for those on a date, or just want a quiet place to sit down and enjoy your treats, it may not be the best place. On multiple occasions, staff have asked parents to leave if their children were running around the store, or to control their loud children from disruptive complaints. There’s no outdoor seating, so I guess a simple alternative is to go next door to Caribou Coffee, get something, and use their atmosphere. But I shouldn’t have to if others are disrupting me. Cleanliness can be an issue-but not always. The unspoken rule is that you place your dishes in the dish cart adjacent to the door, so that the busboy can come and empty the cart quickly, freeing up tables. If people leave their dishes on the tables or don’t wipe up after themselves, this takes away a usable table; it’s not restaurant style where you can expect to be cleaned up after your dessert. When this happens, it takes a while for the busy staff to get to the tables and clean up. But like I said, it’s not always the case. The bottom line: They make great, high quality ice cream(and tasty chocolate milk too), and you’ll be sure to enjoy your treats. However, when eating in store, your experience can easily be affected by others; families in particular. This also extends to the cleanliness which admittedly is hit or miss. The prices are decent, slightly on the higher side for premium ice cream. Don’t let the negatives deter you from a visit, but have some patience if you do. P. S. Keep your personal biases about politics out of a review :)

Oberweis is a little more on the pricey side but it was a hot afternoon and we were looking for a treat. We tried the Original Strawberry and Caramel Sundaes. Both were thick, creamy, and smooth, with just the perfect amount of sweetness to top. I’m a fan!

I don’t get it. Oberweis was once a little dairy with a great product and delicious ice cream. Now that they are expanding all over the state and into the greater midwest, their ice cream is about as rich, flavorful and dense as Edy’s. Home milk delivery runs you $ 2.50 per delivery, plus $ 2.65 for a half gallon of milk. I’m fine with getting gallons of organic milk from Whole Foods or Costco for less money. And yes, it’s true, I have a problem with Jim Oberweis’ xenophobia.
