So, I feel really bad about this review, but I gotta be honest. The young woman who took our order was exceptionally nice. She engaged me and my girlfriend about the Univ. of Il, where all three of us attended(at different times). She still took our order and I appreciated her ability to multitask. We waited no more than 10 – 15 minutes for our food. I watched through the kitchen door as the cook prepared everything fresh(relatively. I think the chicken was pre-breaded). I was very pleased with their efficiency and was looking forward to getting home and trying them out. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, Szechuan chicken and a large shrimp fried rice(no eggs). It smelled amazing and was still pretty warm after a 5 minute drive home. It still looked appetizing after being unboxed. Alas, everything was mediocre at best, with the fried chicken being greasy and a little salty. The rice was pedestrian, not bad but not great. The Szechuan chicken was the best. It lacked chicken but they heaped on the veggies. HEREISTHEMAJORISSUE: within an hour of eating, my pregnant girlfriend suffered from loose bowels. I mean, it came like the running of the Bulls. I thought maybe it was something she had eaten earlier in the day, until I was awakened at 5am but the bubble guts. I sat on the thrown for a good 20 minutes, emptying my belly of Sun Wong. I don’t know what they did, or what we have a digestive aversion to, but it did not go over well. My thought is the excessive grease… Two stars…

This is a typical neighborhood Chinese take-out restaurant. The food is what you’d expect, quickly prepared, tasty & fresh. Very professional service. Of course, it’s not gourmet – it’s home cooking, but you’re also not paying high prices either. Our total for 3 very LARGE dishes was $ 22!

Really delicious food for a god price! There’s not much to say. If you love Chinese food, you’ll love this place.

Absolutely loved this place! I ordered a small orange chicken and a small lemon chicken. One small is enough to feed 2 people and it was decently priced too! I’ve tried Taste of China and Yen’s but this one is my favorite by far on quality/quantity of food and price. To top it all off they were fast at making my order as well!

Totally worth it! A terrific value for the family. This is your typical neighborhood Chinese take-out restaurant. The food is what you’d expect, quickly prepared, tasty & fresh. Very professional service. Of course, it’s not gourmet – it’s home cooking, but you’re also not paying high prices either. Our total for 3 very LARGE dishes was $ 22! Other similar restaurants would charge $ 35 – 40 for exactly the same order. Sun Wong, you’ve saved me on my busy nights when I don’t have time to cook. I hoping that you’ll be around a long time!

I usually don’t stop some place that doesn’t have any reviews yet but coming home from work late, didn’t want to cook and it was on the side of the street I happened to be driving on — I thought«why not». I didn’t check Unilocal until I was waiting for my order. I’m glad I wasn’t «Wong» about my decision. Ordered 2 egg rolls — well cooked, not greasy but were nice and crisp. They were the normal Chinese restaurant variety — nothing spectacular but still good. Shrimp fried rice — requested no MSG. Was kind of disappointed as it was quite bland. Nice amount of shrimp and egg but not near as much green onion as I prefer. I would try again with more onion. Beef and green pepper — by the time I got to this, I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at how wrong I was! This was awesome — good amount of tender beef, small chunks of green pepper and onion in the perfect amount of sauce. And the steamed rice was better than average. Service was fast and friendly — I will definitely go back and try some more of the menu. General Tao’s Chicken is my favorite — I’m curious to see if they can measure up to my favorite place for this dish.
