Boy oh boy, for years I had been wanting to check Tango out but for whatever reason I never did. On a late Saturday night we found that it was difficult to get in anywhere without a reservation. I called them not feeling too hopeful but we were told there was no wait for a party of two. Yay! We walked in and were greeted immediately and we were taken upstairs. The downstairs was very crowded. The upstairs area was not as busy but there were quite a few people up there, including a party of about 15. Our server came right over and explained the menu. She was very friendly and informative. We ordered a pitcher of the white sangria and we were very pleased with it. For our dinner we went with tapas. We ordered some cold dishes and some warm ones. Everything we tried was delicious!!! The steak tapas and the seafood ones were my favorite. I can’t remember exactly what we ordered but it was all fabulous! One dish that stood out to both my boyfriend and I was an asparagus salad, OMG, refreshing, delicious, the flavors… My mouth is watering as I write this. Only thing we didn’t care for were the empanadas which the server so graciously took back. By the end of our meal I was full I thought my jeans were going to pop open BUT I couldn’t resist dessert. I ordered the crème brûlée, it was good. Our first experience with Argentinian tapas was a success. We are already talking about going back to ordered one of their steaks.

I came to tango 2 years ago, it was great or I was naïve. Upon returning last week, the best that I can say is that food was served. While the sangria was tasty, the waitress visited the table once for the order and once to drop it off without so much as a smile. Also, the tapas al came out at once. quite strange for this style of meal. The food was on par with bar food at best. For the price, one would expect more. The fried calamari was spongy, chewy, and entirely unseasoned. So far from crispy. The goat cheese was entirely stingy on the cheese to sauce ratio. The bread was not warm, not sure where that came from. The empanadas, again were unseasoned. The tasted like dough and the dry chicken they contained. Not flaky. Not warm. Not delicious. The garlic potato salad lacked in garlic and(surprise) seasoning. Something awful happened to tango. Maybe it’s great if you like bland, room temperature food. We complained and they gave us a 10 $ coupon FORTHENEXTVISIT. we left it on the table. Never coming back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been here once, and my experience was extremely short. I went at 8pm on a Saturday night. According to Unilocal, the hours posted on their door, and the open sign, they were open. My boyfriend and I walked in and noticed a few tables with some people. A guy, whom I assume was a server, walked up to us after we had been standing at the hostess stand for about five minutes. He began to scream and swear at us saying«Get the f**k out! We are f**king closed!» After that happened, niether of is had an interest in returning. After we left, I decided to call and inform a manager of this employee’s vulgarities and hostility towards two customers who came in planning to spend a substantial amount of money. I was greeted on the phone by a man woth an entirely different voice. I asked to speak with a manager, which he then replied to by saying that he was the general manager. I began to inform him of the issue, which he immediately responded by saying«Honestly, I don’t really give a s**t. You people clearly are not f**king welcome here, we don’t need your f**cking business!» I highly recommend staying away from this place, as they clearly show no respect to customers.

This Argentinean steak place is simply fantastic. I’ve frequented the establishment many times and have never been disappointed. To start, they fill up fast, so get here early or make reservations. They have two levels, including the downstairs bar area. If you order the sangria, they make it fresh at your table. They have a fine wine selection to boot. They boast being the home of the longest steak. It’s a flank steak rolled up, and it doesn’t disappoint. But be aware, it’s impossible to finish all that goodness yourself. They also feature a grand selection of tapas, both hot and hot. I highly recommend.

Wow 10÷30÷15. I take my girlfriend to this restaurant. I found it on Unilocal, and I love tapas. We had reservations and were seated briefly. A hispanic waitress with glasses came up to us and was rude when I asked, «what was good here?» She was definitely having a bad day. Then we ordered the pitcher of sangria the calamari, ceviche, and chorizo stuffed mushrooms. Ceviche — Was bland, basically medium shrimp with bell peppers mixed in… They didn’t even add lime. Ceviche is supposed to be an explosion of citrusy delight. Chorizo stuffed mushrooms — My friend said after tasting it «…this is not bad.» When you eat something you want to hear«yum».or «that is good.» There lack of flavor and was salty. Calamari — Was actually good. I mean, it’s calamari. It’s fried so that is kind of hard to mess up. The Sangria — Was good for $ 20 Food: over rated, disappointed Service: rude waitress Next time I’m trying Macarena Tapas!

It’s located in a great area. However, I don’t think I’d come back. I thought it was pricey for what we got. We left because if we stayed we would have spent even more money on tiny portions. Portion sizes were smaller than what I saw on Unilocal pictures, so idk if they changed them. Food was kind of bland. Basically, we left because we were hungry and wanted some good.

Great place wish they still had the tapas, The menu is great anything you order is superb. I would recommend going here, it’s not usually packed but make a reservation just in case. Try the upstairs. It has a romantic feel to it and a casual classy atmosphere. Pricey, but worth it.

I was visiting a girlfriend who lives in Naperville for the weekend and she wanted to check out this place. We sat at the bar and the service was stellar. The gentleman that served us was very attentive, but we were the only people sitting at the bar. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria that we both really enjoyed. We also shared the Baked goat cheese, pollo pesto, and tequila orange shrimp. The baked goat cheese was very heavy on the tomato sauce with a very small dollop of goat cheese. If it had more goat cheese, we would have enjoyed the dish more, we left half a platter of sauce. The polo pesto was good, not amazing. Not as flavorful as I thought it would be. The tequila orange shrimp were flavorful, but very small. Overall, this place was just ok.

I have visited this place twice and was seated immediately with out a reservation. I would strongly suggest to sit on the rooftop. There is a nice relaxed ambiance. The food is good and they have a wide variety of Tapas to choose from. The service is fast and the waiters are polite.

This one’s easy. We looked everything we ordered and we ordered quite a lot. Bacon wrapped scallops, avocado and hearts of palm, shrimp in tequila & orange. Chicken with artichoke hearts, salmon and a nice beef dish. We ate upstairs and the décor is nice, light and open. Our server was attentive and prompt.

Won’t be going back. Hostess and waitress were polite; however, service was slow. We were two of only about ten people on a Friday night and there was ample wait staff just standing around. Stuffed mushrooms were overcooked and too salty, calamari was overcooked. Peppercorn strip steak was tolerable, but nothing to write home about.

Went here for an afternoon lunch adventure with my family. There is a dish for everyone here and it was expertly prepared. My favorite was the steak and shrimp skewer. The sauce was refreshing. I definitely recommend it!

Service was very slow. Food was okay. Skirt steak was very chewy. Plantains with bacon was good. Empanada was good. To me, It’s not worth coming back. Place is over priced.

Rooftop bar is a must! The tapas go so well with their refreshing drinks. Definitely try the mussels and the skirt steak tapas with a Mojito or a Moscow mule.

I am always surprised that this place is not packed when I visit. Don’t let the unassuming storefront fool you, Tango has amazing food at good prices. I’ve been here for lunch, brunch, and dinner. I’ve sat inside and upstairs on the outdoor patio. I’ve always enjoyed my time here. This Argentine steakhouse has a lot going for it-I’ll mention a few things here. First of all, the lunch specials here are some of the best in downtown Naperville-huge portions of delicious food for like 6 bucks!(Try the burger). The sangria is some of the best in the area-definitely get a pitcher and find someone to share it with. You can pay for unlimited tapas if you like-or just buy a few plates-some standouts are the stuffed mushrooms, spring rolls, and chicken pesto skewers. The steaks! Cue the drooling. The steaks are soooo good. They are ALWAYS cooked correctly and the flavor is wonderful. Try the signature steak(it’s apparently the world’s longest steak-it comes rolled up, no joke). They have recently added smaller steak portions to the menu, which I appreciate because I can’t polish off those huge ones by myself. The sides are great too-get the plantains. This place is more like 4.5 stars, the only reason it’s not five stars is because sometimes service can be slow and they can be understaffed. The staff, however, is always pleasant and accommodating. The food and welcoming staff keeps me coming back again and again! Come check this place out!

Tango is an authentic Argentine restaurant right in the heart of downtown Naperville. Knowing that the rent must be sky-high for them, they have to make really good food to survive. We went on a Friday night and it was terrific. Did the tapas thing: sausage, stuffed mushroom(a must eat!), fried calamari. Ordered the traditional Argentine steak. Very great meal. They lose one star for the ‘no gun’ sign in the window.

Three words. Ice cream sangria. Sounds wrong, doesn’t it? Nope. It sure isn’t. The fine folks at Tango will stand table side and whip together some of the tastiest, frothiest, most delicious sangria to ever hit your tastebuds. And then you’ll want to order a second pitcher because whoops, where did that first one go? Many a time have I wobbled out of Tango after celebrating a birthday or having a get-together, with a full belly and a lighter head. Make sure to designate a driver, folks. Maybe a younger person who isn’t old enough to enjoy that delicious, delicious sangria. Oh, and food? The hardest choice you’re going to have here is whether or not to order tapas or one of the regular meals. The eggplant rotolo is excellent, and I’ve made it through the tastiness that is the«world’s longest steak» a delicious grilled skirt steak that will have you ready for surrender after eating about half. There’s a plethora of tapas choices that I love too, but do yourself a flavor and sample your own. Everyone can find something they like here. Tango on over to Tango for a delicious dinner and even better drinks!

I would give 3.5 if I could. We came for $ 23.95 unlimited tapas. Plates come with 2 servings for two people. I was extremely warm in here, it would have been nice to get the air flowing. The décor was pretty plain, cement floors and old school chairs. **WARNING-DETAILEDREVIEWAHEADOFALLUNLIMITEDTAPAS** All ratings are on a 1 – 5 scale with 5 being the highest. Papas Ajillo– 5. Their take on potato salad. Really garlicy, really good. Palmitos with Avocado– 2. Hearts of palm are so plain, they need more than avocado to jazz them up. Bruschetta– 2. Really crappy. Dry bread, flavorless tomato, super boring. Avocado Shrimp Wrap– 2. Again, really plain. Basically bland guacamole on a piece of lettuce with a third of a shrimp. Crabmeat Bechamel– 4. This was good, not too crabby. The bread could have been warmer. Baked Goat Cheese– 1. This couldn’t have been more disappointing. There was a pea-sized dollop of cheese atop crappy marinara on a piece of bread. TOTAL disappointment. Grilled Steak Skewers– 4. Although this was extremely peppery, I really enjoyed the tenderness of steak. Asparagus Con dos camisas– 3. This was also very peppery, but I love asparagus and this was really good. I had more bacon than steak, which I was ok with. **Bacon Platanos-5. These were AWESOME. I would almost save them as a dessert. The apricot sauce takes it to the next level. We ordered two of these** Stuffed Eggplant– 1. Blah. This was tasteless and boring. Ricotta, spinach and eggplant are so tasteless and nothing added flavor to this dish. Spring Rolls– 4. These were really good and would be a great choice for a vegetarian. Stuffed Mushrooms– 3. This was another disappointment. The chorizo was a bad kinda spicy. Almost tasted burnt. I love mushrooms though. Pescado Frito– 4. These were really good, and I don’t like fish. They were like an upscale fish stick, and the tartar sauce was great! **Peppercorn Skirt Steak-5. This was so good. Everything was perfect on this dish. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. ** **Flat Bread Gorgonzola– 5. I was worried this would be as crappy as the goat cheese bread, but this flat bread wasn’t lacking any cheese OR mushrooms. Tasted like a delicious pizza!** Empanadas– 2. We tried all three. Chicken was dry, steak was ehh but the ham is worth a shot. Pollo Pesto– 2. Another disappointment. Pesto was bland. I think this deal can be worth it when you find a few tapas that fit your tastes. OR go hungry and try them all like we did. You don’t feel bad for finishing a plate since you can’t take leftovers home anyway!

I love this restaurant. Macarena Tapas in Aurora is on my no visit list since they put me near the kitchen like a punished child every time I go even on their down time. Macarena Tapas Aurora has bad customer service. .if you re not a party of ten there then you dont deserve a good table. Sit by the kitchen and they won’t work with you on something you might like They’re waiting for that big group and that’s who take precendence. I left Macarena and made it to Tango tonight. I got a nice center table and my server was receptive and engaging. Cold and warm tapas options at Tango and the margarita menu is to die for. I love the Very Tango Martini. Sugar rim and the citrus is so light. Ask for less garlic and onion on your food otherwise it’s way too spicy. It is Argentinian food after all.

What a lovely hidden gem in downtown Naperville! Having grown up in «the ville» I thought I had been to pretty much any place worth visiting in my hood. Oh, how I was wrong… My mom planned my bridal shower which was held at Tango. I went in knowing nothing about the restaurant space or food and was absolutely lucky in love! We had rented out the upstairs room of the restaurant which was complete with rustic looking brick walls, classy tables and a brunch buffet line-up that was out of this world. I love the fact that Tango is centrally located in the always happening downtown Nape, but also has a very private secluded feel to it. It looks like a small restaurant from the outside, but don’t be fooled; It has a downstairs dining area, a really nice upstairs space AND a rooftop patio(which may I add is hard to find out in the burbs — hence being a hidden gem). It’s a great place for a date night, brunch with friends, or for your next event. The best of all worlds in my book. The food truly speaks for itself. My bridal shower brunch buffet included anything from tilapia, to french toast to pasta and everything in between! The variety was great for such a large group. I will definitely be back to enjoy the rest of their menu and their unlimited tapas on Mondays and Thursdays! Roof top party anyone?
