We enjoy coming here any time of the day. We’re not picky about the time of day we consume our wine. We’ve been for mimosas and brunch, as well as for wine and a cheese plate after work. Sometimes the service can be a little spotty(I mean… it’s not that big. They have to notice when someone new walks in…), but not enough to prevent us from coming back. Last time we were in we bought a bottle of red wine at the retail price and we were able to drink it while sitting at the bar; they’ll also package it up for you to take home if you don’t finish it. Their beer selection is great too. Lots of local brews to try all in one place. Overall, great place for a class of wine or a beer.

Great vibe, friendly wait staff, sushi is always fresh but they got rid of the smoked salmon sandwich which was seriously what I always ordered, So delicious! Wish they would bring it back.

Just dropped 3 figuere$ yesterday at the cube… the classy restaurant of the Standard Market. Who would have thought. It’s an excellent date spot! We missed the memo on being able to buy liquor, and drink it at your table. Therefore we paid way to much for 3 glasses of wine. The grocery store is very expensive as well, but it looks like they have some high quality produce. This was made evident by the amazing Sopressata. the Prosciutto was also good, however these 2 meets, +3 cheeses, equate to a $ 24 board… We shared the 16oz Ribeye which was to die for, and also around the $ 25 price point. The waitress made a point to said they prefer to cook it medium rare, though it appeared to be very medium, and we both would have preferred it more rare. The Brussel sprouts came out way overcooked, literally blackened. We should have taken a picture because it was almost a joke how crispy and oily they were. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll be back, abusing the beer wine purchase program, and savoring another Ribeye ;-)

Love this hidden gem! Wine flights, cheese boards, craft beer, delicious food, and big screen tvs combine to make a place my husband and I can both enjoy together. You can also buy wine or beer off the shelf to drink at your table, also awesome. All in all, one of our favorite places to go!

I’m a huge fan of specialty grocery stores when done right & Standard Market does it right. The Cube has great food, a great staff, and they take the time to share what they know with you. The cheese plate was perfectly paired with my beer and there was a TON of cheese on the board. I opted to go for 3 cheeses & it was well worth the $ 15. Great place.

I’m so glad we found this spot. We decided to try this place for a late lunch and went with a charcuterie selection and the mussels. They have prices for single serving, 3 selections, 5, and I think one more. We went with five because we were hungry and so often restaurants will kind of skimp on the portion size of a charcuterie board. Not here. Holy crap was that a lot of cheese. Not only were the meats and cheeses all delicious, you literally get a nearly full wedge of cheese plopped on the board for each choice. So, I’d say for the prices(I think $ 15 or so for 3, and $ 24 for 5 selections) it’s an amazing value. Meat portions were not as generous but I haven’t found any other place in the area that serves Olympia Provisions meats. The mussels were also delicious. My wife’s a bit of a mussel fanatatic and said this is probably in the top 3 mussel dishes she’s had. Service was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being too overbearing. We ordered drinks off the menu, but you can also purchase a bottle of wine or beer from the grocery right there at retail price and drink it in the bar. Definitely will be coming back here.

Due to my car being serviced at the Infinity dealership down the block, I ate at the Cube and had some decent tapped beers for about 2 hours. The sea bass sushi was really good, as well as the sashimi. Cold and delicious. I like the fact that if you do not like what they have on tap you can grab a single bottle and drink it at cost. Aaron the chef is very distasteful in the fact that I ordered quite a bit of food by myself, but he let the ‘men’ around me sample some of his dishes, while ignoring me that probably spent more then the others that were around me, making me feel alienated. The mussels must have been over cooked because the mussel was so tiny inside. All in all, a good experience.

Love, love, love this! It’s a go-to spot! You can buy a bottle of wine to share with friends at the **grocery store** price and they will serve it to you for no extra cost. You can order food off of the Cube menu or get«take out» from the Grill — but they’ll just bring it to you in the cube. I highly recommend this! Only caveat — they close about 10pm, which is okay but a small downside to being IN a grocery store. Fantastic wait staff, excellent all around.

I am a fan of the Cube — the wine list and cheese selection are amazing and the staff is fabulous. Always so attentive and truly out to please the customer. I’ve been to a few of their events too — and they are fun. I will definitely be frequenting this establishment for years to come!

The reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the menu is limited and once when I ordered macaroni and cheese, it didn’t taste very good but I didn’t complain and I ate it … but I didn’t care for it. HOWEVER, because I tend to find what I like on a menu and stick with it, I keep going back for the wine and the rainbow sushi roll! It. Is. Amazing. The Cube is a GREAT place to go to watch sports without a sports bar feel and it has great wines and, aside from the macaroni and cheese, which is just my opinion, has a very nice menu. The service is good and the atmosphere is trendy and classy casual. I feel that if Frasier and Niles ever had a bar they frequented, The Cube would be it!

Excellent food! Great outdoor patio. Great find. Ordered pork chop special and meatball-both primo! Chocolate Molten cake-fab! Great service. Pick up a bottle of wine in their store and they serve it! One problem-NO COFFEE!

Such great bites of food. Grab a bottle of wine off the shelves and drink with some small bites. The cheese platter and charcuterie is also a great starter. The fig jam they serve it with is delicious. The service is great. I listen to their recommendations and let them select the cheese and meat and have always been happy with it. Nice hideaway in a grocery store wine and cheese section. PS. Don’t get this mixed up with the Standard Market Grill. Two different places, different menus, and different ambiance.

The service was horrible. We waited forever to get a simple cheese board. They forgot my wife’s sandwich order. Waited over an hour for her sandwich and ended up canceling. Seems like a group of college kids running around without oversight. Who is in charge here? The cheeses are good, the wine is excellent. The service is the worst.

Standard Market The Cube — outstanding concept, great environment, good service. Wine & beer options are wonderful. Really like the ever changing menu, but the best trick is to go pick out anything else you like from the store(I recommend the tuna salad) and bring it into The Cube and you can eat it at a table with wine.

I had the attached terrace(which is separate from the Market Grill patio) all to myself. Jazz music on the PA, directly adjacent to a pond with fountain(retention pond with aerator). Very pleasant environs on a holiday weekend Friday afternoon. I ordered the Chirashi sushi bowl that came with miso soup. The rice was perfectly seasoned with the right balance of sweetness. The fish and cucumber were also well done, but don’t expect Itamae-San level knife skill. All in all a very nice dining experience and The Cube @ Standard Market Naperville will definitely become a regular stop for me.
