We couldn’t resist stopping for dinner at Fernandez the Bull Café with Fernando the Traveling Bull! Hubs and I shared a yummy Cuban Sandwich and savory Ropa Vieja player with sweet plantains and black beans with rice. The boys had the kid’s mini burgers from the kid’s menu and loved them. Our oldest couldn’t stop saying how good the buns were. LOL!

Terrific food as authentic as I could ask for The pork was outstanding and the Cuban was terrific. Daniel was my server and he was on top of it. The tres leches was awesome all around great food good service was excellent! very in expensive so it’s a must try for Cuban food. You would be happy to pay reasonable cost for a 5 star place in my opinion.

Excellent food, we got ours Togo in Naples and even Togo the food was great! We got: Cuban sandwich 5* Roasted Pork 5* Chicken sandwich 4* Terrible fries///////:( Cuban Nachos 2* — they were really boring and uninspired. We think overall they know what they’re doing.

I was recently in Bonita Springs for a business conference and was dying to get some Cuban food while in south Florida(when in Rome …). Came here based on reviews and location and it did not disappoint. I had the lechon asado which had a strong but pleasant lemony flavor. Yuca fries were excellent however the tostones had a «green» rather than starchy flavor to them and seemed to be lacking … something. Overall I’d give the food 4 stars. The service was spot on. Our waiter was exceedingly patient with our table and explained many things on the menu. He even brought out a sample of mamey to our table as none of us had heard of it(being from New Mexico). Service gets 5 stars. Prices seemed high but hey it’s Naples. Overall I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking to fill a Cuban food craving.

Best Cuban sandwich. better than Calle Ocho in Little Havana, Miami. fantastic! So tonight I went for dinner and had their famous grilled skirt steak. It was an OMG experience. I’ve been at top notch steak houses and I really don’t think any compare. the steak is char grilled with a sauce that has garlic. Plus the tostones(fried plantains) dip in the lemon garlic sauce. My salad had garlic in the dressing and the wonderful cuban bread is grilled with garlic. It was worth it. I’ll smell for days I know but the sauces made this an umami experience. Now I have to try the pork chop next.

Solid Cuban food. Their hot sauce is amazing, as is their flan with the coconut sauce.

Friendliness: 4⁄5 Ambiance: 3⁄5 Food: 2.5÷5 Service: 3⁄5 Had the lechon, pulled pork was not the most tender or flavorful I’ve had. Worth a stop if a local but not the hype for out of towner, wager elsewhere.

Ingrid is a saint and the food is heavenly. Best Philly in all of Naples goes to the unique creation that is the pork Philly from Fernandez; get it with the cheese sauce and the homemade hot sauce. That’s all I have to say about that, Lenny W.

2fer drinks available on week nights. Reservations are usually not necessary. We sat outside on a not quiet, but not too noisy sidewalk outside the restaurant which is situated on an access road running parallel to Imokalee. We shared 3 appetizers among 5 people: tamales, yuca bites and pork croquettes. Our main courses were surf(shrimp) and turf((skirt steak), a Garbanzos Salteados and Fernandez Cuban Sandwich. The best sides were blacks beans and sweet plantains. Tres Leches was best of breed. I strongly recommend trying this restaurant.

I love the Cuban sandwiches here. They’re the best ever. Always ask for an extra container of the white garlic though. It’s that great. I generally do take out here but I’ve eaten in the dining areas several times. I’m not a huge fan of the outdoor area since it’s too close to the parking lot but it is a lot quieter. It’s a little on the pricey side for Cuban food but this is Naples. Nothing is reasonable here. Especially during season.

Cuban fare stylized to the 5th Ave Naples crowd. But hot damn is it killer! I simply could not bring myself to keeping the signature $ 11 Fernandez cubano — a metric ton of their house roasted shredded pork, sliced ham, American cheese, pickles and mustard, pressed on beautiful Cuban bread — completely intact. Adiós American cheese, hello Swiss. Normally, I feel awkward about menu changes and support the kitchen’s vision. But this is my favorite ‘wich, and we’re not talking about«A Sound of Thunder”-esque ripple effect from such a minor change. Justified. And if this persistent smile and expanded waistline is any indicator, it was a proper decision. What a feast! Every component is expertly prepared, and if there was one pro/con I could report: the massive amounts of scrumptious shredded pork flavor-dominated the meal. If you’ve a lighter appetite or crave that harmony of classic cubanos, opt for the traditional — it’s on the menu for a buck less. If you’ve room, do not skip the tostones. Their smashed, fried and seasoned green plantains are amongst the tender-crispiest I’ve eaten, and dunk marvelously in the garlic lemon dip. Or the onion-dense hot sauce The Bull makes in-house. Or motor oil. Nothing is softening that fry(thankfully). Grab a patio table, eat indoors or grab and go. However you approach the bull, do it with reckless abandon and an empty stomach.

Fernandez the Bull has a new location at Livingston and Pine Ridge rd. It is the best Cuban food in town. If you don’t know what to order, try a Cuban sandwich with black beans. Add the rice and ask for there specialty hot sauce. It’s not to hot, more tang than hot. Nice small surroundings with friendly staff. I will be coming here often!

Out of control amazing. Fireworks for my taste buds, basically. Naples is going to be the death of my figure if I keep it up at this pace. The dining is phenomenal here. So the first time I went, I had the Lechon Asado. The pork was way tender and the lemon garlic sauce was a great addition. The sauce wasn’t overpowering, it was just the right amount of flavor. I got a side of the plantains and they were thick. I don’t know how to describe them really, other than meaty. They were awesome. I also had the side of rice and beans. For dessert, I got talked into the Flan. It was REALLY sweet, so you have to like sweet things. Luckily, I do. I found the coconut flavor and sweetness, just incredible. I almost forgot… the flattened, butter fried bread… WOW. They give it to you with your entrée. It really was my bread heaven. It’s served with hot sauce. The hot sauce is great. For lunch today, I tried the Fernandez sandwich. YUM. I love this place. The sandwich is huge. I am having the other half for dinner, so yay! My bestie is in town visiting this weekend and I’m taking her… looking forward to it :)
