Gene’s 5th Ave Florist

My parents live in Naples, and I have been ordering flowers from Gene’s since they started snowbirding there in 2002. I am consistently impressed with the service and quality I get from Gene’s, and so is my mom! Their arrangements are beautiful. I especially like that the photos of their exclusive arrangements are clear and pretty accurate– I never feel like I’m getting something different from what I ordered. They’re also happy to make substitutions (my mom is allergic to stargazer lilies), and their flexibility and quality keep me coming back to Gene’s for every occasion that calls for flowers.

I came in on Friday to order flowers for my grandfather’s funeral on Saturday. The flowers were waiting for us at the church in the morning and were absolutely gorgeous! I received numerous compliments on the variety and color combination. Couldn’t be happier with Gene’s.

I’m from a family that grew up supporting independent Mom & Dad shops. That’s how we made a living– hands on– knowing our customers.
My parents now live in Naples, FL and I swear by Gene’s Florist for all the family Holidays, Birthdays & Thinking of You moments.
They recognize my parents address (thus me) when I call. They know what Mom & Dad like. I can order through them (& they are a Teleflora member) online & then phone a human I know can actually see the creation.
They answer emails and were able to accommodate a special order to get Mother’s Day flowers delivered earlier than their usual window.
– & this happens with fresh flowers. My (Mom’s) only complaint EVER was an arrangement a year or so back that didn’t age well. Barb had it replaced ASSP. And Upgraded!
My parents as Naples locals use and recommend Gene’s. I, as their grown child, trust them with confidence to get my parents the gorgeous flowers they deserve.

Gene’s did a marvelous job with my daughter’s wedding this past December 2014. Christine was so nice and helpful to work with prior to the wedding day. The bride’s bouquet was amazing– prettier and more lush than any picture. Even though the wedding was the weekend following the Christmas holiday our customer service/​delivery was exactly as we wanted it. I would highly recommend Gene’s 5^th Avenue Florist of Naples, Florida.

I am sorry to write this review but i am doing it based on their customer service and the way they treated me during my appointment. I didn’t do business with them because i had an appointment scheduled for a wedding consultation and the lady never even gave me her name. she spent about 10 minutes talking to me (when these appointments usually last about an hour) and clearly wasn’t interested in doing business with me because i had a budget of $ 1000. she gave me a few tips on some of my ideas that i had, but she still made me feel like i was a waste of her time. she could have just been nice to me and i would have considered raising my budget if it was really necessary. i am a very nice person so i tried my best to be friendly with her but at the end of the appointment, she didn’t even give me any papers or anything with some sort of info that i could go by. they should have just saved me the drive and let me know they weren’t interested in my business before scheduling me. I had two other appointments with florists and both of them were extremely nice and didn’t have a problem with the price I told them I wanted to stay at. Basically, if your not willing to spend at least $ 3,000 for decent customer service and the most simple floral arrangements on your wedding day, i don’t recommend genes on fifth.

I just hung up the phone after ordering some flowers on the phone. The woman who took my order was very rude. I asked what the bouquet would be like for the price range I ordered and she named,. in a bothered tone, some
of the flowers they carried. I just felt she wanted the call to be over. After the call was over she neglected to hang up and I over heard her discussion she was having with another clerk about my call criticizing my method of ordering. I was calling from California and chose this florist because of its Unilocal ratings and praise that it got for” being friendly” on the phone. I don’t think so. I came away feeling mistreated

Lots of places can arrange and deliver flowers well. The best among them understand the importance of service. Gene’s 5^th Ave. Florist gets it!
We called a few days before Christmas to ask if there was a way to add a grocery store gift card to the centerpiece arrangement we wanted delivered to my husband’s mother. I’d buy the card and have it awaiting pick up at the market. Could the florist swing buy, pick up the card and tuck it into the arrangement?
Barb cheerfully said «Absolutely! We’ll pick it up today, deliver the flowers and gift card tomorrow, and send you a confirming email so you know it’s all taken care of.» For a small service charge, Gene’s made this happen — even at a super busy time of the year.
Wow! Now that’s service! Next time I need flowers in the Naples area there won’t be any question about who gets my business. Thanks, Barb!

Super friendly and fast on the phone!

It’s always difficult ordering out of town florals but I would like to thank the staff at Gene’s 5^th Avenue Florist for doing a spectacular job. I ordered a very large center piece for an event being hosted at a home and wanted it to be fabulous. Sometimes reviews are all that you have to go on and I am thrilled with the florals that were delivered.
Thank you for everything. I will definitley be using this florist again in the future.

My step-​mother was in the hospital in Naples (I am in Delaware) and I searched on-​line for a florist with good reviews. I found Gene’s, placed an order and had an arrangement sent to the hospital. She absolutely loved the flowers and the beautiful butterflies that were attached to her basket. She was so happy with the flowers, she usually leaves the flowers with a caring nurse but she couldn’t bear to part with the arrangement when she was discharged. My father emailed her Christmas list to me… guess what was on it? You got it, an arrangement from Gene’s. Thanks for doing such nice arrangements; she is really difficult to buy for. I will definitely be ordering her a Christmas arrangement– thankfully you deliver to Marco Island.

I placed an order with Gene’s and it didn’t arrive at my Mom’s apt. on time — there was an issue with the address — needless to say, they were WONDERFUL about re-​delivering and providing me with a full refund — even though it could have been MY error when typing in the address — they never said a word and immediately resolved the issue. I will definitely call them again in the future. They have the best customer service I’ve ever seen.

I called and ordered an arrangement for my mom’s birthday this morning. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone and delivered the flowers a couple of hours later. I immediately got a phone call from my mom that it was the most beautiful arrangement she had ever received. Would definitely use them again!
