Lakeside Dairy Bar

I am absolutely in love with this place! All around such a great ice cream place. The service is incredibly friendly, the place is always clean, and the ice cream is completely delicious. I think this is the perfect location off of Long Lake in Naples, especially since you can pull up right onto the dock at Long Lake Marina.
Some of the flavors are incredibly unique and taste like nothing you’ve had before! They have my absolutely favorite, Cruchy Toffee, which is so good. But they also have fun flavors like Pumpkin Pie, Maple Walnut, and a Mint Summer’s Night Dream. All of them are delicious, and I recommend trying them all, since goodness knows I have.
I highly recommend this place, for of the good qualities I have seen in it.
And make sure you don’t confuse this Dairy Bar for the other one shaped like a gazebo, I have been there a time or two, and the sizes are much smaller for a much greater price, plus not as friendly as the Lakeside one!

We absolutely love this place! My husband has been coming to Naples annually for the last 25+ years and he’s always talking about his family’s multiple dairy bar visits. Since we’ve started coming as a couple, I can see what all the fuss is about. Delicious soft serve, generous portions and the perfect setting on Long Lake.
Make an effort to take a boat ride to the Long Lake Marina, dock up and try a blackberry and vanilla swirl which chocolate sprinkles (or as the locals call them «jimmies»). Enjoy!

I am embarrassed to tell you how many times a week i am here with the kids.
I love it here. It is clean and friendly and the service is fast. We are huge fans of softserve. They have a few more flavors than vanilla and chocolate which is great for us. I love the black raspberry and vanilla (or sometimes cake batter) swirl.
It is beautiful at night. They have lots of lights hanging and a variety of types of seats to sit in (not just a few picnic tables). We like to order our ice cream then walk down the Causeway by the water. Parking is good, on the street or in the lot.
It’s almost 5:30, a quick dinner then off for ice cream!

Needs to improve somewhat.
I have vacationed here in Naples once or twice yearly for close to 20 years and traditionally we get ice cream at this location once or twice for each week we have stayed here every year. In the past I have had no complaints. This year quality and service level has gone down a bit.
Ordered a large sundae with maple walnut and a Carmel cashew delight (may have the name of the second ice cream in error). Got the maple walnut but was given chocolate chip for my second ice cream by mistake.
Also had asked them to give less ice cream to leave room for extra hot fudge and caramel. As far as I can tell no effort was made to comply with this request. (I made the same request when I came yesterday and they did comply with my request on that day)
We went in with a large group of 9 people although I will say the service was quick, and the servers were pleasant, we felt that the ice cream just did not taste as good as it has in the past.
One of our party complained that there were ice chips in her chocolate cake soft serve
for 2 of our party ice cream was falling off the cones for hard serve. We watched a child in another family just leave the window and have his ice cream fall off the cone. He caught it with his hand and the server then put it in a bowl for the child. Seems like the servers are just not pushing the ice cream down into the cone far enough.
Bottom line they need to upgrade to better brand of ice cream, and service window crew needs to be more careful and make an effort to push hard serve ice cream into the cones so the ice cream does not fall off

Our go-​to ice cream place when in the Seabgo Lake region. They have a wide range of locally-​made ice cream flavors (they don’t make their own), and the service is reasonably fast. During a warm summer night on the weekend, expect to wait a while, since there aren’t really that many ice cream places around, so it attracts a big line.
