Well, finally made it here after 6 weeks. We’re very spoiled in New York(Manhattan) Not used to seeing so much fat. I get it very lean back north and never on anything but a great rye bread. But unable to find a comparable rye here so far. The«torpedo roll» cracked me up. Never saw that done before. But it’s not sliced like home so maybe a roll that can hold it makes sense. Most importantly, was missing more of a taste. It was just ok as warm. Have heard of two other places I have to try. For the money($ 11.99) the 8 ozs. is a nice size portion. Comparable to hamburger prices! Enjoy YOUR visit and let others know what YOU think.

Just love this place! It just celebrated 40 years; still just open for lunch with like 5 things on the menu all amazing and cash only… This is a must try place the pastrami is delish but the super tacos are my fave they make them on the grill and melt the cheese on the tortilla and its soooo yummy! I hope they are open forever I can’t imagine not being able to pop in here to get my fix lol

Just ate here. If you want simple classic pastrami sandwiches this is your place. In and out type of place. The pastrami sandwich was loaded full of meat. For sure not stingy with the meats!

Great place. Best pastrami sandwich on the planet. Expect long lines at lunch time. Extremely limited menu. Price is on the high side but it will be the best pastrami sandwich you’ll ever have.

Went to Pastrami Dan’s all the time back in 1970’s. Best sandwiches and cute guys behind counter. Went back recently and it was terrific. Now probably run by sons and grandsons, but the food was still authentic. The pastrami… succulent and flavorful. Memory Lane: Back in the day, one brother drove a VW Scirocco, which was so cool. Then Dan, younger son(who we went to school with) got a cherry Corvette. Wonder if they’re still running the business?

Over priced over rated! The pastrami is gritty and not too flavorful. Twelve dollars for this? Not next time !

Pastrami Dan’s — cash only — is an age-old APF operation that has garnered a strong local(and so, by extension, transient(since transients seek out the«local» experience)) following over the decades — and over its three locations since 1975. The average pastrami isn’t served on rye, but rather a bulkie/hoagie/grinder/sub/hero roll. I did notice half-sours available(a plus), in addition to pickles. $ 12.99 gets you a pastrami sandwich… $ 11.99 gets you an average roast beef sandwich. The meat is served on the bread noted above. Additionally, the diner may opt for an average taco. $ 52.00, ultimately, gets you 2 average pastrami sandwiches, 1 average roast beef sandwich, 1 average taco, 2 fountain-sourced Arnold Palmers, one canned soft drink and a powerade. That’s a lot of money and, dare I say, the value-proposition isn’t altogether clear once the veneer of «Hey! Cmon! It’s a Naples Establishment! You’ve gotta love it!» wears out. I always love it when local businesses stand the test of time. There’s that nostalgic thing you get by patronizing them. In Tallahassee, we have Barnaby’s Pizza — same deal. So… Good for Pastrami Dan’s! I’ll admit that I accepted that a large part of that $ 52.00 was in buying a ticket down Naples’ memory lane!

First off, I don’t eat much meat. Hardly any. Just some beef once in a while when I get a crazy craving. Today the craving hit hard and I was just a few minutes from Pastrami Dan’s. Although I’ve cruised past it for years, I’ve never stopped before. Thank goodness I had my meat craving today on Rt. 41! What a treat. What a nice place. What fantastic pastrami. I took my sandwich to go, got home, opened the bag and INHALED the best pastrami sandwich I ever ate. Thank you! (FYI: I was almost $ 2 short and Dan let me slide. I will stop in and pay up soon! Great excuse to get another sandwich.)

I have been going to Pastrami Dan’s for years! I promise, you will not find a better or more fresh sandwich anywhere better! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. They are expensive though and they only take cash. But, it is well worth it!

Growing up in NYC I believe I know a good Pastrami deli, 2nd ave and Katz’s being my favorite. Pastrami Dan is truly up there with the best Deli’s I’ve been to. Friendly staff, family business. Excellent quality food.5 stars ! Make sure to bring cash

I hit up Pastrami Dan’s a few weeks back when traveling for work. I needed to get a quick lunch before some meetings started and took to Unilocal to find a place close to the hotel. I picked this place because it was close, it had good reviews and I really really like pastrami. There isn’t much to report here other than I really really liked the pastrami sandwich here. It was good sized(about 8 inch bun), it was stuffed with pastrami, a pickle slice and a good amount of mustard, the pastrami was fresh sliced from a brisket and was tender, juicy, just the right temperature and spiced just right. Every bite was fantastic. I also ordered the chili as a side. It was good but not exceptional. Beef, tomato base, not too much chili spice and no beans(I like that part). If there was one thing that knocks this place is the cash only policy. I get this policy in a large city setting but in a suburban strip mall, credit cards should be a norm. But no matter, I will come here again next time I’m in town and I will bring cash. Yum yum.

A place called Pastrami Dan’s shouldn’t have great tacos… they do. Really really good tacos. They crust that cheese on the edge… so good. Oh, and they also have amazing pastrami sandwiches. There is a saltiness to the meat that reminds me of a good kosher dog.

Arrived there at 3:10 pm, 10 minutes after closing. Dan could see that I was distraught and volunteered to make us a roast beef sandwich. He obviously did not want to see a grown man cry! Dan’s lovely wife, Beth, graciously cut the sandwich into 2⁄3 and 1⁄3 potions as requested, and went the extra mile to put them into separate baskets with a kosher dill pickle spear in each, filled two bowls with piping hot gravy for dipping and brought everything to the table for us. The sandwich was incredible and enough to satisfy the appetite of the two of us. Even the pickles were great!

The pastrami is the BOMB! Get it w/the mustard and pickles– I had half the sandwich w/o for my LO(which I ended up eating most of) and it is better w/the mustard bc it is sooo yummy. They are really friendly here, and very fast. Anyway they are cash only which is stupid, but otherwise I LOVE this place. We’ll be back.

Cash only and bankers hours, but worth it for some delicious sandwiches. This is one of those places that only has like 10 things on the menu and people are fine with that. The pastrami is very nice with a very tangy mustard, good pickles, and tasty bread. Everything on their menu looked tasty. Can’t wait to come back and try their roast beef and tacos. Super friendly staff too(always a shock to someone living in Miami).

Yep, this is how you do it: offer 2 sandwiches that are perfection(pastrami or roast beef) don’t skimp on the quality of meat or the freshness of the roll, slice it, warm it, put some mustard and pickles in it, and ta-da, ready in under 5 minutes. Yes, Dan offers a few other items, super taco, chili, and hot dog, but why bother? The sandwich is amazing, and probably better than any other pastrami sandwich you’ve had before-ever. I had a side of potato salad, and this was the only semi-fail. My BF’s was great, nice slices of potato, light mayo, etc., but when I opened my container, it was half potato, and half soupy mayo-ugh! Whoops! Cash only, closed Sundays, personable Owner on site taking orders and chatting with everybody. Place your order at the counter then take a seat. I read that there is sometimes a line out the front door, and I can certainly understand why. Naples, you have yourself a winner!

Coming from So Cal, I’m a huge fan of The Hat… famous for their pastrami’s! Since moving to SW Fl 2 years ago, I was thrilled to find a pastrami place. It was delicious! And huge! I got mine to go and told my husband there was no way I could eat the whole thing that night, but I did. For me, it isn’t as good as The Hat’s pastrami but I couldn’t quite put my finger on why. The Hat’s bread is definitely different, also Pastrami Dan’s seemed drier. But still delicious, will definitely go back!
