Came here for lunch today with my parents. Ricks has always been our go to place for the past 20 years camping up here. Today we were sat and literally waited 15 minutes for only Waters not knowing when our waitress would return. We planned what we wanted to order for when she does show up. After asking the host for some service and waiting another 5 minutes. No one returned. We decided to head to another restaurant because no one seemed concerned that we waited almost 20 minutes. The hosts clearly did nothing about the situation and could’ve at least brought us more water. Seeing as it’s 85 degrees ! Very disappointed seeing as it’s blues festival weekend and would obviously be busy. Being a restaurant manager, events like this means staffing up so you don’t lose customers. My family and about 20 other family members will probably never be back. Such a shame it was a yearly vacation ritual to get mudslides.

I have resided in the great state of Maine for 8 years now and I have driven past Rick’s so many times that I had to stop at this«tourist trap». We sat on the front deck and got two mudslides(it was my birthday and I wanted to feel like I was on a tropical island, with my fancy cold drink). We looked at the food around us and the prices on the menu. 18 $ for nachos? Naw. I’m good. 9 $ for jerk wings. No thanks. Our mudslides were 8 $ each, but I hate to tell them that the reason it’s called a mudslide is because of the chocolate syrup sliding down the side, which this drink lacked. Get it. Mud SLIDE… They tasted pretty good, like a milkshake and a cocktail had a baby. This and the location get them 3 stars. I would got back for a drink, but for the prices, would eat elsewhere.

The lobster and crab dishes had a freezer-burn taste. Not good. I had friends come in from New York and they were not happy. People come to Naples, Maine for beauty. We realize it’s not New York or San Francisco, but we hope to get some decent food. We’re here from all over the country and we’re not stupid. Get it together or your business will be very short-lived. Thanks for very little.

This place is middle of the line for me. Wonderful nostalgia! I’ve been going here since I was a youngin’ and the idea of eating my food on a frisbee was always invigorating. Unfortunately I feel as though this place has gone down hill. Don’t get me wrong, the food is decent, the atmosphere is lively and upbeat and the view is one that can’t easily be beat. But… It’s just not how it used to be. Meals are overpriced at this point. You pay for the view and the atmosphere. Not the food.

Came here for a late lunch while visiting Sebago Lake. Cool place and nice staff. Teresa was great! I had a group of 8 and we all ordered something different. I’d say the lobster and nachos were the best. Everything else is about average. Pricey but decent place for the small town. — Ryan, Bianca, Brad, Emily, Carly, Mike :)

I guess it’s all about location, location, location. Food was mediocre but much too highly priced. Two of us had the taco salad, I had the buffalo chicken salad and my husband had a chowder in a bread bowl. None of us bothered to finish because it was just okay. But $ 12 for a bread bowl that was not even finished cause it was just okay, is too much.

Very disappointing and we don’t plan to return. Having been customers of Ricks Café for many years, our family returned to Ricks each year during our family vacations on Long Lake. For many years we found the food and service to be excellent. Then, starting a few years back, the food quality and service started falling off and not quite the caliber we had come to expect at Ricks. Each year we found the food, drinks and service to become more disappointing and complaints went unaddressed as their staff was too busy to be concerned with addressing our issues. So, if you’re looking for quality food and service and value for your dollar… avoid Ricks Café in Naples.

Went there on a rainy Sunday about 1pm. Seating was quick, the waiter was there right away. The food came out hot and quickly. Got the triple decker turkey club sandwich which came with a choice of fries, cole slaw, or bliss potato salad. Came home with food for another meal. Would go again.

If you enjoy overcooked lobster and burgers that will get to you really really late, this is the place for you. Bad service bad food. Avoid.

Gross. I’m pretty sure the burger I got was a frozen patty. I have no idea why this place is busy we tried it out after being in town all afternoon, was not expecting anything amazing but I was really let down with the meal. It’s very expensive for what you get. Will not repeat.

My family waited in line on Saturday afternoon, even though there were easily a dozen empty tables we could see from the door. After we were seated, we waited for our order to be taken, waited for our food to come, and were further disappointed. Why people recommend this place is beyond me. There food is mediocre at best the waitress can’t be bothered to do her job and the prices are high for the quality you aren’t getting.

This place is a tourist trap. It’s always busy so they must be doing something right but I have yet to figure it out… I heard the nachos are their best item so I tried them on a positive note they are huge but it’s basically a bag of chips dumped on a plate then some toppings and finished with over cooked cheese.

Clearly these folks are not going for return customers — stopped by today– we shared a turkey club and onion rings not to save $$& but we’re not that hungry– told waitress we were sharing — 2 plates would have been nice– Onion rings were thick and greasy — tourist trap

The food is good. The nachos are their best item but its huge. Its got the standard summer fare, drinks and a fine kids menu. I have been eating there since the early 90s and I cant say the place has changed much but it is a fine place to eat with the kids or a large party of varying ages. Not a diner date place.

My GF and I met another couple Sat. night. Place was packed. Line coming out the door. Got in line and noticed a small bar with nobody siting at it. We jumped in! Place had a good vibe. lots of energy with the summer crowd. We got some beers and drinks and a couple apps. The food was average. Just judging from what we got. I would go back at a slower time for sitdown meal. Bartenders were good and very busy. It was a good night.

Good option in Naples if you can’t get into the Black Bear or Lobster Shack or if you are just sick of eating seafood. Nice setting in Long Lake and a good selection of drinks. Food is nothing special– pretty much bar food with a few bells and whistles. Come here for a nice Maine summer breeze and sit outside and some drinks with friends but not for the cuisine.

I had a fish sandwich, kind of disappointing. Maybe the burgers would have been a better choice. It’s just what it looks like — a restaurant/bar in a tourist town. Indoor/outdoor, plastic tables and chairs. Good service, reasonable prices.

Don’t be fooled by the crowd and local recommendation. This is a 2.5 on its best day. We were there on a Monday based on the hotels recommendation. The Unilocal reviews were bad, but the place was busy and the location was perfect so we decided to give it a go. The scenery was great, the lake was perfect. The service was friendly, but not very good. The food tasted average to below average. We never were offered refills nor were we able to ask for a refill because we did not see our waitress until she delivered our check and realized that we had not even got our food yet! Terrible and expensive.

Go to Ricks Café for the location — it is so beautiful to look at the sunset and the lake. I have been to Ricks many times and I have no complaints about the food at all, good service too. You always get a huge portion of food, it is very tasteful and cheap too(what’s not to like). They serve fast food, which I personally do not prefer, but it is a fine place to go to once in a while. Very relaxing
