I asked for an estimate to clean a 3.5′ x 6′ rug. She then asked me to describe the size because she couldn’t comprehend 3.5×6. She had no square foot price chart, and then asked me the type of fabric. It shouldn’t matter, the type of fabric. Square-​foot is square foot. Then she seemed to guess and randomly gave me a price of $ 55. Too much $$$!!!
Next, I went to the other location on Tamiami Tr. He didn’t know either, nor did he understand the measurements, so he called the other location. Of course she said that «That woman was just here. I told her $ 55.» and I said «Yes, You charge too much money.
In the end, I called a (chain) commercial carpet cleaner that charged $ 1.00 per sq. foot. and dropped of at their site, watched them do a fantastic cleaning job for LESS THAN HALF the price quoted by Same Day Cleaners!

I like them. You usually have to wait while one of the three guys who are actually in this resort town doing business are picking up their dress shirts. I counted nine shirts for the guy in front of me. He paid about $ 35.
Then before I crumbled under the weight of four drapery panels, I passed them over the counter. They were bagged and tagged and promisd for a fresh return a week later. They were pressed and perfect. Free delivery to the imnmediate area is available if you want it.
