Their lLighter Side menu is great for people who wants to eat a bit less. Portions are still big enough, but not so much that you have to take the leftovers home. Their fried seafood is delicious, as are their fries and onion rings. Had their Dungeness crab appetizer which was on the salty side.

We really enjoy this little hole in the wall place and I mean that in a good way. Best seafood and all the different chowders they make are awesome. Get there early because its always very very busy which that should tell you everything about this place

As «Yanks» who are part time residence of Naples, we love the food & casual, laid-back atmosphere at Steamers. We usually get the same waitress, who is from Canton, who shoots the breeze with us filling us in on local doings & making us feel right at home. STEAMERS’ «Chowda» is not to be missed,…a meal in itself… and their grouper sandwiches(prepared in ANY form) are delish. Def a «must eat destination» for seafood lovers in Naples!

Very overpriced for the food served… the food was not tasteful at all… the seafood chowder was cream based and I actually was very ill after eating and all the next day… crab cakes were fair onion rings had no flavor service was horrible… thirty minutes before order was taken… server never came back and refilled drinks or asked if we needed anything… finally had to get host to get our check… I rarely write reviews but this leave doesn’t even deserve one star

Wow, excellent food! The incredibly friendly staff is the beginning of a great experience here. Outstanding NE Clam chowder, real haddock, everything extremely fresh! Im a sucker for the lobster roll! Probably the best hidden dining gem here in Naples! Enjoy!

we ordered the captains fare so that we could have a larger portion pf grouper… little did we know hat it was only one more piece and the three pieces we had were 3 inches long and very rubbery so they must have been old. Our vegetables were so rubbery I couldn’t cut them with my knife and our sweet potatoes were watery and tasteless. $ 50 for two rubbery greasy lunches with ice tea!

Very expensive for the amount, quality, and selection. I got some mussels and coconut shrimp. Coconut shrimp was the best, the orange sauce was excellent and the frying was not heavy. That’s really what saves this rating. The mussels however were not fresh and and I was very disappointed. The menu looked large, but it was kind if just versions of the same thing. Visiting from Atlanta, ate here with a local friend who loves it, so who knows.

Thank you Unilocalers. Our Togo to spot for fresh, delicious and affordable seafood. Came here 3 times during our 4 night stay in Naples. My favorite seafood place in Naples that is affordable and home cooked. I also like that you can order a full portion or light portion. The light is just right.

My favorite seafood restaurant in Naples. Casual, friendly staff, very good food. I like having the choice of small or large portion. I usually bring my dog, so I sit outside. I have never had a bad meal there in the 6 years I’ve lived in Naples. Owner is from New England.

The food is really good here. There are reasons I like this place and reasons I don’t. It’s worth going at least once, but I will highlight the goods and bads so you know. Several years ago I was in Portland Maine, and this place sort of reminds me of that. It has a picnic table feel to it which is what I found with a lot of the Lobster places in Maine. This is a really casual place, nothing fancy about it. The drinks and a lot of the food are delivered in styrofoam cups, bowls and plates… if not plastic plates. Some people may not like that when they go for dinner, so to me this place is better for lunch. Even with how casual it is, it probably has the same prices as a more fancy restaurant, which makes me lean toward going somewhere a bit more upscale. The most important part is the food. I would say it isn’t the best I’ve had, and the flavored are a bit bland. Basically steamed or fried and set on your table. But, seems to be good quality.

Came for lunch with my mom. It was not my first time here. I’ve been many times before. It is one of the few places that has whole bellied fried clams instead of just plain fried clam strips. It’s a very casual atmosphere. Lots of locals know of it and come here. Owned by New Englanders. The service is not formal but is friendly and efficient. We shared the Maine steamers for an appetizer and a bowl of new england clam chowder. The steamers were very good. They advertise a pound for $ 15.95. It may have been a pound but doesn’t seem like one to the eye. The chowder was excellent. On the thicker side but we like that. It was so good, we took a pint to go for my dad(he is from Maine). I had the lobster roll and mom got the whole bellied fried clams from the lighter side menu. The lobster roll was $ 18.95, moms clams were $ 16.95. Again, the lobster roll was yummy but seemed on the chintzy side for the lobster meat. They used lettuce as a filler in the roll. Good flavor, a little heavy on the mayo but still yummy. Moms clams were delicious. We both got fries and onion rings as sides. Perfectly greasy. I do like this place and the service. My only«complaint» is the portions for the prices don’t quite match up. I am adding photos. That’s why I gave 3 stars instead of 4. We will be back.

Stopped in before when in the area. My wife’s favorite place in Naples. We always get the blackened grouper sandwich($ 15.95). Very good but kind of pricey. Large order of onion rings($ 4.95). Very good. It is good for us because we can sit outside with our dog. Service is always good. We will be back when in the area.

Yum yum yum… had a blast the food I had was spectacular. Thank you for hosting us. I had the blackened Haddock with onion rings fries combo and rice. The price is right and the service was great. My friends and I enjoyed the visit. We are from Missouri and can’t get this kind of food in rural town Missouri.

A solid four stars! — this is the menu one sees across the six New England states, and most certainly up & down the seaboard. It’s no brain tease, therefore, that tonight’s clientele consisted of senior New England accents. Dare I say I even heard something approaching Boston Brahmin in the fore of the interior dining room. Enough of the waxing — on with the critique: Clam chowder(NE, naturally, although I noticed Manhattan was offered as well(my Dad winces when I share with him my own occasional appreciation of the tomato-based stew)). It was good, really good — but my dad’s commentary was dead-on. It was a bit too thick. He proceeded that the Canadian Maritime provinces tended towards a thinner stock — and he(and I) prefers that. 1 lb. of Maine Steamer Clams(market price $ 13.95). Good — yet this has little to do with the house — missing the steam-time would be the mark of amateurs and they nailed the steamtime like pros. Served with drawn butter. 2 orders of fried clam bellies. Try getting that ANYWHERES outside of New England. Good luck! They were quite good. Calamari App. Perfectly coated and fried. Coconut-breaded shrimp. I didn’t try them — but they looked dark to me. Daughter enjoyed them nonetheless. Can you believe I didn’t take a single picture? My Aunt Elaine & Uncle Buddy get credit for our being aware of Steamers. We’re spending the week in the old haunts of Naples, so the clock is ticking to review as many of the good places as possible!

Friendly service, really good food and wide selection, but restrooms could use some attention. Grimy doors and door handles, fixtures out of order. Makes me wonder about the kitchen. My blackened snapper, cole slaw, and fries were perfectly prepared. My companion’s shrimp and scallop combo was excellent as well. Place filled quickly at noon on a weekday — relatively easy to get to once a parking space found. Extremely busy intersection — watch where you’re turning or you’ll drive around for another 5 minutes to get back to the proper turn-off.

For some reason our group really wanted lobster rolls after shopping, so after reading reviews we ended up at Steamers. The atmosphere and décor feels like a very average casual seafood New England restaurant, and the food generally met expectations. The New England chowder was a little thick for my taste, but what I liked least about it were the scallions. If I go back, I’ll ask to leave them off. The whole fried clams were okay – the batter was good, but they weren’t particularly meaty compared to ones you get in Maine. The lobster roll had pros and cons. Pro: toasted buttered hot dog roll, light lettuce, big lobster chunks. Cons: celery and too much mayo. If I want another lobster roll in Naples, I’d probably go back here. However, I also didn’t love it enough to make this a must-do while on vacation.
